Hello, my name is Alma, I'm 21 yrs old and pregnant with twins. My husband (Chaz) and I are both Active Duty Air Force. He's stationed at Dyess AFB, TX (but currently deployed to Kuwait) and I'm stationed at Fairchild AFB, WA... We got married April 18th, 2008. We had talked about having babies but we weren't looking for it anytime soon... we wanted to wait until after our "BIG" wedding but as more baby talk arose we decided to get off birth control. We figured it would take us a while to get pregnant since I had been on b/c for a couple years, but a little over a month after we were married we were pregnant! I took a couple tests (all too early) to see if I was pregnant (we wanted to know before he deployed) but of course, they were negative. After being deployed for about a week when he called me one night (on June 17th) I gave him the wonderful news and he was so excited!!! (I wish I could've told him in person) At my 2nd DR's appt they decided to do an ultrasound because I had been spotting some. They wanted to make sure there was still a baby in there... the DR told me not to be alarmed if I didn't see anything or hear a heartbeat as I was only about 5 1/2 wks along (according to the calculations)... they couldn't see anything on the first attempt and decided to do a transvaginal ultrasound... what we came to see was amazing!!! 2 little "circles" and 2 strong little heartbeats!!! I was in such shock! I started crying and laughing hysterically. lol The ultrasound tech found that the "Baby A" was 6wks 1day and "Baby B" was 6wks 3days. While I was still at the DR's I got on my blackberry and sent my husband an email... I told him to call me ASAP! My husband called that night and about died of shock and exitement... WOW, we feel so blessed!!! God has truly blessed us and we are so thankful!!! Making the babies was fun and easy, now comes the hard part... making sure I am well and healthy so I can keep these little Angels strong! I can't wait to meet our little "Super Babies" (as my husband calls them) lol
