My husband and I are expecting our first son on April 10th, 2008, but hoping he'll make his appearance sooner! Like tonight? lol. I've been with this page since we found out back in August and am just now figuring out how to fill it out. This section particularly...isn't compatible with Safari on Mac's.

So its off to week 38 tomorrow, I took two tbsp of Castor Oil today around 3pm, its 5:45 pm and I feel UNDER THE WEATHER! I `m not having loose BM, but they `re softening! Eww. Definitely nauseated but nothing crazy yet. Some new pains are coming on (like sharp menstrual pains), and baby is moving a lot.

Okay ladies, I `m done with the Castor Oil!! I just got back from my 38 Week OB appt., and I am scheduled for induction on 4/3/08 for a 4/4/08 arrival of baby Beau. His name will be Beau Magnus and I cannot WAIT for his arrival!!! I am just elated to have a set date that I am sure to have this baby! YAY!

I also forgot to mention, at 36 weeks the midwife at my ob told me I was 70% effaced and `one fingertip, ` Today my OB actually checked me (I rarely see HER) and she said my cervix is still quite hard (not very effaced) BUT, 1 cm dilated....which is what I guesstimated when I went in myself this week. I found a doughnut hole about the size of my pointer finger. So anyway, just thought I `d share for those who asked me about checking yourself. Now that I am scheduled for a 4/3 induction I `m searching high and low for ways to help my poor cervix soften up before the big day(s)!!! Hmmm....

So I woke up this morning feeling as though I hadn `t slept all night, cranky, crampy, and low and behold about a Tbsp of clear goo with a tinge of blood in it. I `ll go ahead and chalk that up to yesterdays OB prodding. Still I `m happy to have some sign of SOMETHING happening. I suppose that might be frustrating to hear for some, but so far I `ve had nothing except the things I `asked for. ` Seven days until my induction, although since the goo incident I `ve been feeling a lot more of those stitchy, pricking pains down stairs. Wouldn `t it be a true miracle if he did come on his own. For some reason that concept is far beyond my comprehension at this point. I kept my crab attitude all day long, had a nap at 2-4pm and am just now snapping out of it and thinking about being productive.
