~We're expecting our 2nd child (A Boy) February 10, 2009~Hello! My name is Sharla and I am currently pregnant. My husband and I have been married for 6 years as of December 2008. He is one of the most important people in my world. He is a truly good man, husband and father. We have a 3 year old daughter who is the most special child that has ever stepped on earth. (a bit biased) We were in the military and recently got out, but he still works overseas. He came home for an r/r for 3 weeks and we had been trying for months to become pregnant, but he is only home so many times a year. Well my dr. said that the odds were NOT in our favor because of many normal barriers. Well she was wrong...we became pregnant. So this baby was meant to be. Our daughter is so excited to become a big sister, she is so motherly right now. She will be great at it. She also starts school in Sept. (along with mommy) I cant believe she is getting so big! Well I love this site because their are so many supportive people on this site. I actually look forward to checking my page daily. Thank You to everyone who has been a part of my pregnancy!

Update on baby Jaleel....He is still hooked up to lots of different tubes that do lots of different things. I got to see him today...and he is is SSSSOOOOO BEAUTIFUL! They got the results in from his EEG yesterday and the sad, sad news is that they say that baby Jaleel has no brain activity...that this precious baby is brain dead. But everyone still has high hopes that he is a fighter and somehow will pull through this. He opened his little eyes and was looking at me today. Grandma has been with him since day one and she said that he has improved a lot. They took him of off the resporator and he is breathing on his own, and doing well with it so far. Thanks for all of the prayers for my friend and her baby. Please keep it up, they still really need it.

well me and my guy went to run errands and ran by the mall today, i figured doing some walking might help get things going lol...but man was it a task to tote this belly and booty around!!! While i was in Victoria's Secret i felt this little pop inside down below, at first i was like oh crap was that my water lol!! But nothing happened besides just a lot of pressure and pain, guess im not that lucky lol. You ladies should have seen me waddling all over the mall haha, people kept looking at me with big smiles, i said i wasnt sure if they were smiling at my big belly or if they were getting enjoyment out of watching me waddle around lol!!! But im sad to say there is no labor for me, not tonight at least :( send me some darn labor dust lol!!!!

I've been going to the Dr. every week since I was 32 weeks. They have been keeping a really close eye on me and the baby since I was diagnosed with gestational diabetes. How are you feeling? Anxious?

Nope didn't get to find out her weight, but I'm sure she's already big, b/c he said my fluid looked fine and you don't just measure 2 wks ahead for no reason! Yes, it's very uncomfortable b/c when she's sideways she kicks/hits both sides of my ribs...but she's still just having a good ol time flip flopping in there.
I will go kicking and screaming to the O R b/c I do NOT want a c-section. There's no way I can care for a 5, 3 1/2 and newborn by myself after surgery! We have no family around so it's just my husband and I. I am deathly afraid of having major surgery.
Hopefully SOON she'll turn b/c I don't know if I can mentally/physically wait until 39 wks!! uughh

I am getting VERY nervous! The C section will be fine....but well, it's scary not knowing what to expect. Are you a C section or natural birth?
