~We're expecting our 2nd child February 15, 2009~Hello! My name is Sharla and I am currently pregnant. My husband and I have been married for 6 years as of December 2008. He is one of the most important people in my world. He is a truly good man, husband and father. We have a 3 year old daughter who is the most special child that has ever stepped on earth. (a bit biased) We were in the military and recently got out, but he still works overseas. He came home for an r/r for 3 weeks and we had been trying for months to become pregnant, but he is only home so many times a year. Well my dr. said that the odds were NOT in our favor because of many normal barriers. Well she was wrong...we became pregnant. So this baby was meant to be. Our daughter is so excited to become a big sister, she is so motherly right now. She will be great at it. She also starts school in Sept. (along with mommy) I cant believe she is getting so big! Well I love this site because their are so many supportive people on this site. I actually look forward to checking my page daily. Thank You to everyone who has been a part of my pregnancy!

I am not planning on working after the baby is born. Although I hear that being home is just as much work as going to work! Haha, we will see! I am not sure how long I will stay home, but I would like to go back and get my masters in teaching...I would love to teach kindergarten! SO that may be something I work on while I am at home with the baby. It's all kind of up in the air, but I know for the beginning, I will be home. My mom and dad are both blue collar wokers, my dad has driven a truck for 30 some years and my mom has worked at the same bank for almost 20 and she just recently started doing her dream job on the side...BUS DRIVING! Haha! So growing up, we NEVER went to daycare bc my mom was in the same situation as you growing up, there were 4 of them and her dad just up and left when they were all real little, so her mom had to work alllll the time and they were always with a babysitter. So when I was little, my dad would work all day and then come home and my mom would work 4 to midnight. It was great and I am thankful they did that. I think times are tough right now with the economy, but if you want to make it work and stay hoem with your kids at least part time, it's possible if you are willing to make the sacrifice. Just like you said, your daughter is sweet bc you stayed home with her, and daycare was not raising her! I do understand some people don't have a choice, BUT the only way I would be going to work is if we NEEDED the paycheck, not just WANTED it to have extra money...that is selfish, but I have to be careful bc I don't want to offend anyone! I just feel like when you have kids, if you can afford to stay home, you should bc they need to be brought up correctly! Plus they grow so fast! After kdg, you can go back to work! ;-)

I am thinking we will do two and see what happens after that as well! I want to be able to afford them! I am 24, so I have a few more years, but I want to be done by 30 too!

YOur daughter's name is pretty...who picked it? We do have some names picked out, and they may change but we really like Finn for a boy and Maeve (may-v) for a girl. I feel like there are not may unique names for girls...maybe I just have not looked hard enough! haha

Gunner the black evil Boxer ate my husbands WHOLE bagel today when he got up to get something...he was gone for literally 5 seconds! Ugh...just another day!

ugh! i kno! this is so hard for me right now..i was so stressed out that i couldnt eat or even keep anything down that my doctor told me to go to the hospital...i got out this morning and he came to give me a ride home..were supposed to be talking about things tonight but i doubt its gonna work out hes still acting like an asshole =/

That's wonderful that you have you're enery back. I know how that feels.:) Actually, My 1st I was very active and happy. My 2nd I was really moody. This time I feel extremely stressed. What about you?

I cant wait until the 5th, I had to cancel my last appointment b/c my work schedule changed. They couldnt get me in for another month, sucks! Hopefully I will get to hear the heartbeat for the first time, I still havent heard it. Yeah, the heart burn is a pain. Mine comes at weird times, I could drink a glass of water and get it. It is just real speratic. I think I'd rather have it and not MS tho...that kicks my butt!
