6th November

Well, today i'm absolutely shattered! I was woken up at quarter past one this morning with someone letting off fire works out side our house and to top it all off i'm completely constipated! I don't know what to do about it really except for try and eat more fruit and veg and drink plenty!

Oh well, suppose it's just one of these things that we just have to get on with as pregnant women!

I've got my scan a week today and I can't wait! I'm hoping they give me a mid-late May date!

Anyway, I will update more later!

Ok, so today I'm dieing with headache and heartburn - suppose it'll all be worth it in the end!!!

13th November

Went for my scan today and was given a due date of 2nd June. Woo Hoo so it's all offical now and it's not in my head at all!!

Everything was fine baby is growing well and is just as it should be. Only thing is the wee babybug wouldn't stay still for 2 seconds to get it's picture taken so I've to go back on 23rd November for another scan so they can get the skull pictures!!

20th November

Well, as I type I'm waiting on my partner coming to get me to take me to hospital. I've been vomitting constantly since yesterday morning and I can't keep as much as a sip of water down. So I'm being taken into hospital to get an IV drip for some fluids. I think they think that I've caught some kinda bug and I need it out my system.

Anyway, I'll update more later or when I get out of the hospital... wish me luck!!

21st November

I got out of hospital last night - they gave me a drip to get some fluids into me and anti-sickness injection. They also gave me a weeks worth of anti-sickness tablets to take. I've had some toast this morning and it's still in my stomach - which is a first since Monday morning! Oh the joy of pregnancy!!

6th December

Well, I had my appointment with the gyneacologist today and they've placed me at high risk. This is because when I was 3 I had kidney failure and was in Intensive Care Unit for a month. They think that the strain from the pregnancy will put too much pressure on my kidneys and they don't want a repeat performance. So I've to expect to be seen about every fortnight until my due date. I've to get Renal Scan's and repeated blood tests to check how my kidneys are coping with the pregnancy. I just hope that it doesn't end up with me having to have a section birth as I would prefer a natural one. However, if that's what they recommend that we do then that's what we'll have to do.

Also got another quick scan today - what a difference a fortnight makes to the difference of the baby!! It was so big and clear looking it was just great to see!!!

Anyway, I just thought I'd update my page a bit - will do more soon!

16th December

Got taken into hospital last night. Had some severe pains in my back (between my shoulder blades) that went down my left arm and into my had. Also had some Pins & Needles down my legs yesterday. However, the pain got too much so my Mum took me to hospital. They tested my urine and said I had blood and protein through it. Going for renal scan on Wednesday morning and a routine appointment with my midwife on Thursday afternoon so hopefully find out more then... Pain isn't quite so bad today and it's definitely not in my arm/hand now but is still in my back.

I just hate going to the hospital with something that sounds so trivial! I'd hate them to think I was just a hypercondriacte and wasting their time but my Mum wouldn't have let me not go to be honest.

The nurse was really nice though and let us hear the heart beat - then we heard the baby hic-up!! Must take that from Mummy because I've had them everyday since I got pregnant!!

Oh the joys! Just hope everything else goes more smoothly!!

Well, I wasn't sure what to expect with the baby moving but today the little one kicked me!! It was so amazing!! So now I'm sure that I have been feeling the baby move since Christmas day and it's just so Great!!!

8th January!!!

My bump's gone!!! Completely gone!!!

Don't get me wrong, I wasn't big to begin with, in fact I am still wearing my own clothes but the past 2 days I've got smaller!!!

I used to be able to feel the bump in my stomach because it was hard but I can't even feel that now - only some of the time!!!

Oh well, find out next week if everything else is ok as I go for my 20 week scan then!

Well, we went for our 20 week scan today and it was amazing!!! It's so good to get to see the little one and be told that everything is great, in the right place and there aren't too many or too little of them!!! We didn't ask the sex and we forgot to ask about our due date but I do have to go back to the consultant tomorrow to see about the reults of my kidney scan and blood tests so I will ask more tomorrow - with my mum there hopefully we won't both forget!!

Went to gynaecologist yesterday and was told that my kidneys are fine!!! Yee Haa!!

They won't take me off the high risk category though just to be safe but I won't have to be sectioned after all!! So pleased about that!

So from now on it's just routine!!

Next scan 5th March!!!

Was called in to an appointment with the physio yesterday. Apparantely my mid-wife had refered me because of the pains I was telling you's about that I got down my legs - more pins and needles than pain.

Anyway, I fell when I was about 4 weeks pregnant and it looks as though I've crushed the bottom 2 vertebrae of my back. This is then crushing my sciatic nerve which is causing the pain. They said it's nothing that can be fixed by surgery or anything like that so they've given me exercises to do to help release the nerve. They've also given me a maternity support band to wear if the pain doesn't go away or for when I'm a bit bigger (ha!! I don't think that'll ever happen - i've still not gained a pound!!!)

She said i've got good posture and a high instep which she says will only help me during the pregnancy...

Anyway, just thought I'd update a bit!

Was at my 26 week appointment today (even though not 26 weeks yet) and midwife said everything is fine - baby is lying in the right place at the right height! Just good to know that everything is right - even heard the heartbeat which was really strong!!! They took blood from me to do a blood count and check for anti-bodies cos i'm rehsus negative.

Nothing much else to say - next appointment in 2 weeks for my anti-d injection and another scan.

I went for my scan and injection today.

Everything is great with the baby - very active, had a full tummy and a full bladder! They were able to tell me that the baby weighs 2lb 11oz but how do they know that???

They wouldn't give me my anti-d injection though, said I was too early so I've to go back again next week for that, then to the midwife on 20th March for a routine appointment, then back for another scan on 23rd April!

So pleased today!

So I went for my 30 week appointment today and everything was fine but she said I'm measuring at 33 weeks instead of 30!!! When I went for a scan on 5th March they said that the baby was weighing 2 weeks ahead of schedule but they won't move my date! Mid wife said that she's put notes in my own notes to make sure that everything is checked and double checked at my next scan!! What does this all mean though?? Could it be that I'm just having a big baby?? I don't know what to think because I'm still barely showing at all - still not gained any weight and I'm still wearing my own clothes - so I'm getting more and more confused. I always said at the start that they had my date wrong. The first date of my LMP is 11th August yet my due date is 2nd June! I just want them to get it sorted now so I can get more prepared for this one coming and not go about thinking I've got 10 weeks left when I've not, I've only got 7!!! Sorry for ranting but I'd be interested in hearing what you all think - message me on my page please!

I'm just back from the midwife - was supposed to go just to get my bloods taken because I've to get another anti-d injection on wednesday 23rd. Anyway, midwife decided just to do the whole check up thing - urine, blood pressure, measurements etc etc you all know the drill. Anyway she gets to checking my blood pressure and she's all like - i'll just do that again, then, can you straighten your arm please, then it was, I'll just try your other arm! Cut a long story short, i've got to go into hospital tomorrow morning to let them hook me up to some machine and monitor the baby's movements and my blood pressure and such. She said that the swelling in my feet, hands and in my face (i hadn't noticed that - turns out my partner had but didn't think anything about it) obviously all point to pre-eclampsia - only thing i've got going in my favour is the fact that i don't have any protein in my urine. I'm just so scared now and don't know what to think... Will update tomorrow at some point - hopefully!

1st June

Just realised that I haven't updated in a while.

I've to go to hospital tomorrow morning to have my blood pressure and blood count checked. When I was at my midwife appointment on Thursday they measured my blood pressure at 170/100. They were saying that I'd probably not get home and they would just induce me there and then sort of thing - well, went to hospital and my average blood pressure for 1 hour was 116/71 - turns out they used the wrong cuff!!! I was so mad to be honest!!! So I've to go back tomorrow just for a repeat check!!!!

Will update tomorrow if they come across anything - which they probably won't!!

2nd June - Just!!

Well, it's nearly 1am here and I've been having contractions since about 6pm last night. They're not close together yet but are lasting about 1 minute. I tried to go to bed to get some rest but that just wasn't happening at all so here I am up and updating you guys!! Hoping they get closer together now.
