About Me...
My name is Amber I am 24 and I live in the Mid-West... My family is what I breathe, they are my life! I have been with my high school sweetheart for 9 years, of which we have been married for 5 1/2 years. His name is Jason and he is an amazing man and a great father (most of the time he is a man! lol). I am a stay at home mommy of a 2 1/2 year old boy named Logan, and a 14 month old boy named Colton.... And Yes I am expecting AGAIN! I had to take fertility meds with both of my boys. But I had just quit breastfeeding my youngest (Colton) and about 2 weeks later I found out I was pregnant... NO fertility meds! So I am going to be a busy mama! But I love it and wouldn't trade it for anything!

Went to the OB's today. They did an ultrasound, looks like I was right, exactly 6 weeks pregnant... Everything looks great, we even got to see the hearbeat even though its so early! I get another ultrasound at my next appt. in a month so they can see the baby better! YAY

Appointment this morning, got another u/s! The baby is growing right on track! The doctor was very impressed with how much the little bean was dancing around already. And a good strong heartbeat! Which makes me MORE then thrilled! I go back June 2 to do some sequential screening (which means another u/s!) :o) Feeling a lot better these days, finally got my energy back and I have been way way less sick with this pregnancy! All is WELL!

So, I have been getting more sick the last 2 weeks then I have the whole pregnancy! Weird, huh! I am so tired and wish I had an extra set of hands at home today to watch the kiddos so I could just sleep! It's been a busy, emotionally draining week for me... And it doesn't help that I'm super emotional anyhow! I went in for a u/s today cause I was having some bad cramps, but everything was great and the baby has grown sooo much. I am anxious to find out what the heart rate is, for some reason I forgot to ask. Hope everyone else is doing well!

I had the nuchal translucency u/s done today... They didn't give me any official results for it but I looked over my sheet of measurments and I did some research today on those tests and the numbers that I had were all good! Which is great! Healthy baby on the way! I couldn't believe how much this baby is growing, so fast! The sonographer likes to get more then one measurment of the same thing so that she can check the accuracy, but after she got the first one the baby turned over and refused to cooperate... And just kept waving it's little hand at us, (as to say, "I'm the boss!") oh yea, and 160bpm... Both of my boys were 130-140's I know its just and 'ol wives tale, but hey... MAYBE!
June 10, 2008
Got test results today for the NT u/s... Everything is normal, I have to go back June 22-July 6 to get blood drawn for the 2nd half of the test. Other then that, I am feeling so so much better. Finally have my appetite back. I am down about 20 lbs. But I am not a thin person, so its very ok! I lost 37lbs. with my 1st pregnancy. I'm getting really excited about finding out the sex! Can't wait!
June 14, 2008
So I am pretty sure that I had felt the baby a few times before today... The other night right before I fell asleep I felt a little flutter 2 different times in the same spot a couple of minutes apart... And then today, I have felt my baby several times! It is the most precious feeling in the world. Little kicks in the same spot! It helps me be at ease that everything is going, and growing right. I can't help but Thank God with every little move! I have a OB appt. Monday (which is also my 24th birthday.) My husband is taking the day off from work and my mom is watching our boys. We are going out together and then ending the day with my appt. I am really excited to hear the heartbeat!
June 16, 2008
Had my doctor's appt. today... No weight gain yet, in fact I am weighing in less then I did at my first appt. The nurse that brought me to my room said, "Well, it's a little too early for movement," and I said, "Actually, I have felt something." And she was kinda like, "Yea, OK!" But my doctor came in and was like, "You have had 2 babies I know you know what it feels like, and its not too early.." Anyhow, she brought the doppler in and listened and 5 minutes went by and nothing... So she decided to move up and still nothing... So she was like, "Ok, I guess I will move up more," and then RIGHT away there it was 160bpm and perfect! She said, "OMG your uterus is even with your belly button, its not suppose to be quite half way there yet, this is a BIG baby! And I looked at her, and she said, "Well not abnormaly big!" And she found the heartbeat RIGHT where I have been feeling the little kicks! She says, "Ok, now I know for sure you felt that baby! Cause it must be so big!" So, I am carrying high, and a higher heartrate then my boys... Does that mean, GIRL?!?! We'll find out soon. I am going for a private u/s on July 7... But I am having the big one in the doctor's office July 14th, so we will be doubly sure what it is! YAY I am sooo excited!

I rented a Doppler from babybeat.com... Got it 2 days later, and couldn't be happier to get to listen to my babies heartbeat whenever I need some reassurance! Feeling the baby move a little more often now, still just fluttering, but a lot more of it. And my little boys have fifths disease (just a rash that goes away, but its not good for a pregnant women to be exposed to) So I went and got blood work done today to see if I am immune to it or not, the odds are good, they say about 9/10 people my age are. And if that is the case nothing to worry about. The other thing is I breastfeed my youngest till he was 9-10 months old... he is now 13 months old. And today all of a sudden it feels like I am letting down when my kids cry! My boobs haven't hurt my whole pregnancy so far and now they are as tender as ever! I hope I don't have boobies full of milk for the rest of my pregnancy! lol! Anyhow 2 weeks from now I will know if it is a little boy or girl on the way for us! YAY! Soooo excited!
June 26, 2008
I got the results to the 2nd half of the sequential screening, it was neg. which means all is good! They haven't got the results to my parvo test yet, but they said it should be in later today or tomorrow... Praying and believing in good results!

Well I couldn't wait for my u/s on the 7th, so I called and moved it up... And the verdcit is... IT'S A BOY! And there is NO doubt... The lady told me over the phone she wouldn't "guarantee" the sex till 18 weeks (I'm 17 weeks), well she did with my little boy! lol! I had tons of family and my best friend with me and it was prefect and I have a wonderful baby boy on the way! I did get a call on my way home from finding out from my OB office and it turns out I am immune to fifths, but it also shows I have had a recent infection... So I have to go to a specialist and get an u/s done, to check everything over. I'm not worried about it, the lady today checked over his heart and organs and they are GREAT! I know it's just the devil trying to steal my joy! I just pray over this baby and rebuke any sickness that tries to affect either of us! In JESUS mighty name... AMEN!

I went to the prenatle specialist last thursday and haven't been able to get on and write cause my computer was down... The longest week of my life! How did we ever live without internet?!? Anyhow, they did the scan first and looked EVERYTHING over... Afterwards I met with the doctor, who ended up being the one I was hoping for... And they said there is no fetal hydrop seen! Which is wonderful news! She started talking to me and my dh telling us all the risks and things that they watch for. And she started talking about anemia and blood transfusions in the baby... And I said, "Well, my baby is covered by the blood of Jesus!" And she looked at me, threw her hands in the air and said I am so happy you said that! I know that baby is fine now! She said we gonna get a church service going in here! It was so wonderful to have a doctor not look at me like I was a freak because I believe God LIVES and heals and he is protecting my baby. Nevertheless, because of "procedures" I do go back 3 weeks from now for another full scan, and then once a week for 3 weeks after that. Then I am released back to just my regular OB. Now that I know he is fine and I know he is in the hands of a wonderful doctor and a believer it will be fun to see him change from one u/s to the next! God is good!
July 23, 2008
So the last week I have been feeling little Hunter more, but still not as much as I would like... But this morning I was woke up to a little wiggle! And I even felt some hiccups (because I had a full bladder! lol) It's just nice to know that there is really someone in there, and a reason for my growing belly! :o)
July 26, 2008
Thursday I had my DH lay his head on my tummy and have a pep talk with the baby... He just told him that we would very much appreciate if he would start moving, so we can feel it... lol, funny I know, but we had both felt our other boys by now! And then yesterday I went to use my doppler and as soon as I pressed it on my tummy he kicked it! A real kick, no flutter or wiggle! I then hurry up and put my hand by it and he gave me another good kick or 2... Then my DH got home and I asked him to lay his head on my tummy agian, and he kicked him almost right away! And he kicked and moved all night and hasn't let up since! Amazing he starts moving all over after his daddy had a talk with him! :o) Does this mean I have another daddy's boy on the way?!?

I got a phone call from the prenatle specialist office today, I had gotten my blood drawn last Monday, they are checking the disease (fifth) to see if my antibodies are going up and the disease level is going down. And the nurse called and said that the levels have returned to complete NORMAL! Not just went down, but are NORMAL! Paise GOD! My next u/s is August 7, still have to do all the extra appointments till 25 weeks, then I am released!
August 8, 2008
I went to the prenatle speicalist again yesterday had a full ultrasound, and all is well! They saw no signs of hydrops, or anemia... They can measure the blood flow in the brain to check for anemia, technology these days! It's so amazing! Little Hunter is weighing in at 1lb. 3oz. And they also asked me if I have been able to feel him much, and I said just the last week a lot, and they said they are surprised cause the placenta is right in front, so he has to kick hard enough for me to feel it through that... Makes a lot of sense now why I wasn't feeling him as early and as much as my othter 2 boys! But great to hear my baby is doing well... I have to go back 1x a week for the next 3 weeks, and then have another full u/s... My last appts with the specialist is going to be in September, at that point they will give Hunter an offical clean bill of health from the fifths disease. I know my baby is healthy as can be!
August 17, 2008
This last tuesday I had my OB appt. just now up 1lb. from my starting weight, so I guess, thats not bad (I was shooting for not weight gain) I go for my next appt. On September 3, and I have the glucose test done, not worried about it. And then this last Thursday I went to see my prenatle specialist and had the u/s done to check his heart and do measurments of the blood flow in the brain (for the the fifths) and everything looked great! I go back in every Thursday at least for the next 2 weeks, and then she will decide if she needs to follow us any longer. I will get 1 more full u/s scan to check growth too! Can't believe how big he is getting!
August 28, 2008
Went into the specialist today and they did a growth check and my little man is weighing in at 1lb. 14oz. So darn near 2lbs! He is measuring about a week ahead of when I am due, but I highly doubt they would change my due date. Everything is still looking good, he is still breech (but he has plenty of time to move, might not have the room though!) And his legs are up over his head! They tried to give us a 3-D peek but the little booger had arms and legs right infront of his face! I guess he wants it to be a surprise! I go to my regular OB doc Wednesday the 3rd and do my glucose test then. They always expect me to have it (probably cause I'm overweight) but It's always way under what they say it needs to be, so I'm not worried about it...
