Will do :)
How you feeling anyway??

rookie - Sunday, 8 June
Thanks, I try. How's the moving back to the states plan coming along? Do you have a date when the move will take place? That's such a huge move. Are you looking forward to living back here or do you prefer there?

Hope you're feeling great.

Fundal height is not a good indication of the baby's size cos it is influenced by how the baby is lying at the time. At least thats what I read when I was worried my baby is too big....its like if my baby is lying with her back outwards, you will get a larger reading than if she is the other way round cos her back is more rounded and will push the belly out more. So try not to worry as long as your baby is fine, know that is easier said than done but am sure both of you are just fine!
Peace and Love!

hi...im 35 weeks and only measuring barely 30 weeks. my regular ob doc kinda freaked me out a bit with that but the specialist that i see for my gestational diabetes- i see him every week for a sono and he said that he has read studies that the fundal measurements can be off by as much as 6 weeks . so i am not worried anymore as i know my little one is growing as she should be.

rookie - Sunday, 8 June
I'm sure you're a bit concerned with the measurement, but remember, she did it with her fingers so she could have been off some. And as long as you've been growing all along, I'm sure it's fine. We're not all built exactly the same to begin with.

SarahMalony - Sunday, 8 June
Your bub may have dropped into your plevis too. That can cause you to measure smaller. Good luck!

inkjunkie - Saturday, 7 June
Hey. Just read your post about measuring small. Im 36 weeks on monday but measuring at 32 weeks. Midwife also told me it's nothing to worry about as I'm small built so I'm not worrying too much. I have a scan on the 19 th so I'll be happy when I see that xxxx

Thanks for your input, that's really good advice and I was along the lines of what I'm thinking...I just want to be fair about the whole shared parenting thing.

That is a great question - it would seem to me that you would loose your plug before your water breaks... but maybe neither really need to happen?? So many variables!!!

I will try to avoid pacifiers for the same reasons joshswife stated - it can mess with your nursing. I will try not to use any pacifiers until two we got the whole breastfeeding down cold. After two weeks I will likely use them, but I will stop giving her a pacifier at age six months. Everything I read in my books and online indicates that it can turn into a bad habit if you let your baby use pacifiers for longer than that. I'll thus probably wean her at that point.

joshswife - Sunday, 1 June
So with binkies, I think they are fine as long as breastfeeding is well established. I work as a post-partum nurse and sometime binkies can mess up breastfeeding by making the baby not open it's mouth wide enough for the breast and hurting the mom. Also you really want your baby just sucking on you in those first days cause that is how you establish your milk supply. After that I don't see any problem although a dentist might disagree. :)

its crazy huh.... i dont know whats wrong with em, such a miserable cow lately, lmao
well ive got 29 days to get my head around this...

I think every one who says "you will know" is full of it. When I got my first contractions, I was online in two seconds googling how women described them so I could properly diagnose myself. lol. TO me they feel more like bad gas pain (like when you have food poisoning) but last night I had a few and it was more like the ligament pain you get, just in my lower abdomen and my back...nowhere near the top...any pain that feels like it comes on in waves (ligament pain is just kind of sharp and painful for a sec) is probably your body's way of having a contraction....
hope that helps :)

Thank you for the comment! It means a lot that people are actually reading my blogs--I didn't think they would. It also mean a LOTTTTT when people leave me messages understanding that adoption was a good choice. At the beginning many people were telling me that I didn't love my baby and that if I REALLY loved him, we would keep him because that's what would be best for him. I truly know I would be able to support him, but it wouldn't be the perfect choice. There is so much more that his adoptive family can give him than I would be able to right now. This is also good for them in allowing them to have a child and good for us because we aren't truly ready.

Anyway, thank you for the comment again, and congrats on your soon to be family!!! (o:

i think i ignored the paranoia in the 2nd trimester but now that its so close to having her i cant help but feel like something could go wrong. i hate it! and i even get 1 u/s a month, i mean if soemthing was wrong with her youd think they wouldve found it by now right? im nuts.

blessedbaby - Monday, 19 May
I know how you feel. I really don't talk to anyone about my feelings but sometimes I feel everything is going too good and I can't believe that it is happening. I also thought that once I got this far I would be more calmer, but find myself still worrying about things. Sometimes I feel like I don't have faith which I say I do and ask myself "am I being a bad mother". I just keep praying because I know everything is going to be alright even if I don't act like it sometimes. God Bless!!!

Just stopping by to see how you are doing? Is it getting pretty warm there? I see you have cut your pants into jeans so it must be getting toasty, or it could just be us cause it is HOT everywhere we go ;)

Thank you!

Don't worry about dying your hair. I've seen studies that say it is perfectly safe during pregnancy and nothing to worry about. I also remember seeing Gwen Stefani with completely bleached hair the whole time she was pregnant. I don't bleach my hair but I do dye it and have done so through the whole pregnancy without worrying.
Cheers

LOL, night of beauty. I love that!! I can't wait to go get my hair done. Chris says absolutely NOT, so I'll wait I suppose... My sister will come do it in the hospital as soon as the baby comes out! LOL. I am WAY too gray, it's sad.

mommy to boys - Sunday, 4 May
Thank you. Boys are fun, I love each one of them. And a little girl will be great fun too. Congratulations on your little boy, it looks like you don't have much longer to go, lucky you :) Thanks for dropping by.
