Hello! I am a 26 year old American living in the UK for the past three and a half years (husband is English) This is our first child and we are super excited if not a bit nervous (ok, Im nervous, hes not really) We will be moving back State side (Annapolis MD) after the birth , will not have been home in two years! Im just trying to take in this whole experience in and try to enjoy it.
In an attempt to keep up with the times Ive moved my weekly installments to blogs

Tuesday, 29 April Thanks for your suggestions. I think we will wait to set the crib up until we move and just use the bassinet or play-yard right after birth. I just feel bad about bringing him home without a nursery set up.
Hope things are going well for you. 2ndxmommy!! -

Monday, 28 April Hi, I don't think much of my midwives but highly rate my hospital - but i think i am a lucky I live near a good one. Where did your hospital come in the league tables they published after Christmas? Am seeing consultant at 32 weeks and not seeing midwife until 37 weeks, so not much care for me either. My daughter was 3 weeks early so I thought i would be seen a little more.
Make a few enquiries about your care and maybe some complaints. You really don't want to go into this worrying about things you shouldn't have to worry about. I really do understand your worries. aprilljosh -

Just read your blogs. I hope that your move goes smoothly. I can't imagine having to deal with all of that right after having a baby. But you know what it will all be worth it because that is what you and your hubby want. Also I wanted to tell you that I am the same way about worrying. If I don't feel Makayla move for a while I start bugging her and pushing around on my belly to make her wake up :) And I thought the same thing about my moods. I am normally on meds for anxiety and quite taking them after becoming pregnant so I was so worried I was going to be a mess but I have done really well, even hubby says so, so that is good. Guess we will be able to have more kids in the future cause I have not been a raving lunatic! Ha ha! Well I wish you a wonderful and safe rest of your pregnancy! lucysMum -
