Hello I'm Amanda- I'm pregnant with my first child due August 21st 2008. We found out April 14th 2008 that we are having a son. Which is name will be Zephan Lee. He was 14oz and his heart was the size of a quarter. I was just so happy when I found out I was pregnant. Then to go to the OBGYN for the first time and hear his little heartbeat at just 9 weeks was a tear jerking moment. Now I'm 23 weeks and my little guy just kicks and moves often. I can remember being 18 weeks and wondering when I would feel him move. When I started to feel the movement I was so happy. Although I'm told that when he gets bigger I'm not going to like the movement. I honestly don't know about that. I'm happy to feel my guy moving and being active. Wow moving that soon is scary. I'd say just make sure you have a pack-n-play or bassinet ready just in case his crib and room isn't set up yet.

i have been off work on bedrest! we just got the internet today at home, HURRAY! I get to be on this medicine until Sunday - I have been having preterm labor contractions - so far dilated to 1 cm, 70% effaced, and 'soft'. So they are making me take the medicine until i reach 36 wks, then no more! We'll see if he decides to make an early appearance! The medicine sucks, it makes me really shaky and weak and sick feeling. I can't wait to be done taking it!!

my husband has a 4 year old from a previous marriage and he is a bruiser! Very tough little kid. But recently he has become very attached to my belly! He knows there is a baby in there. e kised my belly and says "i love you baby" It is the sweetest thing ever! Eventhough he may be rough with other kids, I think deep down he is a lover and I reallyt hink he is going to LOVE his baby sister to pieces!

i see your in IL. i am too in the naperville area. small world. i'm not sure why it's short term disability not maternity leave. it's kind of confusing. i think the reason they do disability is so you can take more time off? i stand for my job and my feet are killing me and swollen so i want to take off asap. i think it's cool if you can work up until your due. good luck !

YES!!! The biggest ham i thought i could ever carry!!! LOL....i had to push for mine too....but he is so adorable though. I cant wait until he gets here. But as for brandon....me and him are doing great. He isnt all that new haha....we were together last year off and on the whole year until september and we were engaged too, and he went to iraq, we had a few issues and it just ended up being wrong timing. But he came home in april, came to visit and has been here every since for me and braiden. We got back together last month, like june 7th......but he loves braiden and me so much and i thought he'd be what most guys are and thats run when they see your having a baby. But he didnt and he's been more of a father than jeremy(father) is and he always calls and text to see how we're both doing and tells me everyday he loves me and braiden. And even though braiden isn't his he is still gonna love him as his own. And he's very serious about that too.....i smile to hear it but i know he isn't joking, and even though i cant see him much because he's on base 4 hours away i still pretty much can see his face when he is saying these things. He'll get to come home every 3 weekends maybe until december if thats when they decide to let him come home for good. He had a few surgeries and they got to make sure he's medicially stable. I had to go to the hospital a month ago for contractions and pains, and ive been helpless since and hurting and then he's getting bigger on me and brandon got worried and went and asked for a weekend off to come home and spend the weekend with me......and on top of that he has a 2 week break they all get and he can take whenever he wants to.....for anything, family, vacation, just anything he wants for 2 weeks off. And he has it set up and ready to come home the moment he gets the call that braiden is on the way and for braiden's birth so he can be here with us both and be apart of braiden's life. Out of anything to use that for he is coming home here to us. And i can tell for how he is now and how he treats us both he means so much more than he ever has and i am so in love with this guy....and sometimes have to remind myself since jeremy is somewhat around that brandon isnt the real father but he is close!! And higher than jeremy to me. He is my family with this baby. I cant describe our relationship in words or how much i love him but i like not being able to. And i thought with jeremy leaving me when i was 4 in a half months pregnant that things would go so wrong with life and was so hurt until me and brandon got back together but i admit it was very hard for me to trust again for a bit, for what happened last year with us breaking up and the baby i have to remember now and it was hard but things have really came together in the past week and i couldn't be happier

. I'm truely blessed with things i never thought i would be especially at the same time after jeremy leaving. I was too stuck on him to see anything else. But it finally opened for me. Thanking god everyday for everything thats happened....even if things dont work im finally at peace with things working out for the best after something goes so wrong. I was bad bad sick this whole time, stressed for awhile after jeremy left and it made it worse and my son is still going strong, thinking he'd be small from it all he ends up being a fatty LOL and doing great and surpised me twice on being bigger than he should be and brandon being here and that gave me my family piece back.......i thought everything would go wrong. Ive truely have had a angel over my end this entire time.

I can sit here and also watch braiden too....its so smamzing to watch. I have truely fallen in love with everything in my life, and this baby because for awhile i was doing both parts and that made it all so much more precious. He loves my ribs and puts me through hell sometimes and hurts me to carry such a big baby because im so dang little and small with no weight but its alright....i enjoy it because i know what its for and its worth it and im sure the HELL i'll be going through in labor will be worth it too LOL LOL......hahaha

!!! But i love his kicks and rolls and hits and i can feel his hiccups everything too.....and his little butt too....he moves sooo much too its crazy!! But i love it all and i cant wait! Im very excited, i hope my shower turns out okay, i hope i get everything too!!! I hope everything is going good with you and the baby and everyone and i hope the doctor goes well.......let me know what they say about the little man

My son weighs at 6.2 pounds and i still have 5 weeks left, he's fat!!! Over weight LOL.....i'll be 35 weeks pregnant in 2 days and he's the size of 36 weeks. He has a fat face, and he is so adorable and the cutiest lips ever.....and he loves to suck his lips because he was doing it while we were watching him. Big feet, and they said if i go 5 more weeks he'll be 8 pounds.....but they said i wont make it 5 weeks, he said he'll give it 3 weeks maybe 4 weeks and he'll be 7 in a half pounds, the said a full term baby is starting at 37 weeks, thats 2 weeks off and anything before that is premature but he is full term size and if born today he is the size of a newborn....my mouth was on the floor. I could't believe what i was hearing because i was so scared he was gonna be small, they told me next time they see me which was today he would be in between 4.5-5 pounds and he's 6 lol.....i'm like oh my....and i'm so little and he's such a hog and he has alllll the weight, not me, suprised me twice on his weight! I can not wear maternity clothes, their too big, i'm still in my little jeans and my babydoll shirts are my maternity clothes lol.....but you can tell i'm all baby and that i'm pregnant.... i'm like it's gonna be hell when this child comes i know it. Because it already is now carrying him!!! But that was a big relief, so if he came today he is the size i thought he'd be in 5 weeks.....and he's healthy, heart beat is good, and growing growing growing, and killing killing killing mommy, lol but i'd rather him be big and bigger than small. When i found out what he was 3 months ago he was a week bigger then too lol....just a hog! And shower sunday....so excited about it all!!!! Write me back...hope your doing well.

Yeah- I definatly cant wait to have this lil guy. His sister and brother are very anxious to meet him...:) Yeah it is pretty creepy when you watch someone go into birth. I never had to experience it -just saw it with my sisters...I have to have a c-section because my pelvic would crush the baby if I tryed to deleiver naturally. So I kinda got lucky in the long run...:) Stay strong.. Keep your head up high...

Mom alwaus says I was around 7 1/2 lbs. My husband was somewhere in the 8lb range.

I would be scared, too. But, remember...Your pelvis and her pelvis are totally different. Unless you're twins?! :)You are different people. Yours might just open up wide and let him on through, with no problems!
