aww, CONGRATULATIONS!!! you're so lucky! i want a girl to. i mean dont get me wrong, i'm totally happy either way. i just have a really strong feeling its a boy, and i want to be able to dress up a little girl too. i look at my niece and its so fun cuz she's so girly and LOVE to dress up and play with makeup and have her nails done ALL the time, then i look over at my nephew and he's always dirty, and skateboarding, and breaking bones, and jumping off things...pretty much LOOKING for ways to get hurt! i dunno if i can handle that!! plus i dont want to be out numbered!!! (my son and hubby will make 2 against 1!!) lol
i'll be excited, just for different reasons.
aww you're so lucky. i find out what mine is tomorrow. did you eat or drink anything special to make your baby cooperate and move?
man 3 at one time!? i cant even imagine!! my cousin just had twins and the babies ALONE weighed over 14 pounds (7 pounds EACH!!!!) not even including water, uterus, blood weight, etc.!!! can you IMAGINE!!!!??

hey hunn congradulations how is everything going for you so far??:)

*Baby-Mine* - Wednesday, 14 May
not that's not horrible. i know what you mean. i knew i loved this baby from day one, but i didnt realize HOW attached i was to it already. i thought i was sorta keeping my distance until i got out of the first trimester and the risk of losing it was significantly down, but when that happened and i was sobbing as hard as i was and as upset as i was, that turned it all around for me.
i'm glad things are better for you! even now, when i go to the restroom, or we're done having sex, i'll always check myself, and part of me is CERTAIN i'm gonna see blood. but thank goodness i havent had any other incidents. so just be sure to continue taking it easy and doing everything like your doc says...
i find out of friday what mine is! i'm almost POSITIVE they're gonna say "boy"!! so we'll see! do you know?

Hey.. your right! being a military wife is hard and I wouldnt wish it on anyone haha deployments put alot of stress on our family.. he was just gone for almost 1 1/2 yrs, came home Oct 27th and now he leaves again when the baby is a couple weeks old to go back to iraq for 1 year :( .. you will always have the pressure around you to go out and do stupid things because your friends wont change because your having a baby. its hard and there is nothing wrong with going out every now and then but the difference is you have to act responsible about it now that your a mommy and you have to learn when to say no and think of that baby at home. It definitly doesnt make either one of us bad people because of the things weve done, what you can know from it is that youve experienced things that your child will face growing up and hopefully you can try to stir your child in a better direction since youve been there...... sooooo have you found out what your having yet?

A nice thing about this site is that we pretty much tell everyone whatever we feel like. I don't know about other ladies, but I don't know any of them in real life, so it gives you a kind of freedom to say anything without feeling self-conscious. It's nice.
I haven't found a name I really like. Tossing a few ideas around: I like the names Callista, Sitara, Madison, Madelyn, maybe Chrystal. Still searching for one that feels right.
Do you have a scan Wednesday? The scan is just the BEST feeling, when you actually see the little one. I'm sure once you know what your having, you'll adapt, whether its a boy or a girl. I guess it's like naming the baby, too - doesn't really matter, because the name comes to mean the person that your baby is. You're not making him or her into the name, the name just comes to mean him or her. You know what I mean?
Anyway, let me know how you go. Just hope all is well with the little one. xx

hi sweetie! congrats on your pregnancy, even though it wasnt "planned", its still wonderful, and you're right a "Blessing"!! i had the same issue as you when i was 8 weeks. Sorry ahead of time if this story is TMI!! lol me and my hubby were having sex, and we changed positions so he could get on top, but before we restarted, something told me to feel myself...it just felt TOO wet, so i checked with my hand and when i looked it was all dark. so we turned on the light and i had blood ALL over me and him! i FREAKED! i'm really surprised i didnt faint because i was SO panicked! we rushed to the ER, and my hubby had to tell them why we were there because i was sobbing SO hard. i was POSITIVE i was losing the baby. but when they checked and did all the tests, everything was fine. even the u/s the next day showed my little Gummy Bear in there, heart beating away. they told me the same thing, that i must have a sensitive cervix, and since we were having sex, he could've hit it with his penis, causing irritation which caused the bleeding. we were put off of sex for 2 weeks til i saw my doc, and everything seemed to be fine. now when we DO have sex, i take it EXTREMELY easy, and only recently did i start getting back on top (only cuz my belly gets in the way now! lol)
i know its very scary, but since you've made it to the 2nd trimester, w/out "Threatening Miscarriage" and just the bleeding, i'd say everything is just like the doc said. just take it easy. and if it happens again try to keep in mind what you were doing that may have caused it (excercising, sex, cleaning, wiping, etc). i hope my story has helped and doesnt sound like i'm just babbling on! lol. hope you're doing well, and happy mothers day!

Hello, Amberly! How's your day been? I'm in week 19, too (due October 1, same as you), but this is my baby number 6, and I'm 42 years old. Really feel my age with this one, too : ) Congratulations on your little blessing. I'm feeling huge; it's scary to think I'm just gonna keep getting even bigger for the next 20 weeks! I have never heard of a "sensitive cervix" but guess you sometimes just have to trust your health care provider. The early bleeding must be scary for you, but we're past the time when miscarriage's typically happen. Keep smiling! We'll get there! Have you had a scan? Do you know if your little one is a boy or girl?
