Hello Everyone!!!! My name is Yveth, I'm 23 years old and this is my first pregnancy. I am a Master's Social Work Student and I'm expecting a baby girl. We've decided that her first name will be Esmeralda. We had our first ultrasound on January 17th and we were told that my due date may not be June 5th and that it may be June 11th. Everything looks good except that my doctor mentioned that there may be a small shadow on the baby's heart. She said that I shouldn't worry and that they will check again when I am 28 weeks pregnant. Of course I worry and I went home to check online about this "shadow" and learned that it may result in a congenital heart defect. This is making me nervous since I know that this may be a sign of Down's syndrome. The only thing that gives me comfort is the fact my AFP test came back normal for any birth defects and also knowing that her heart is 150 bpm, which is also considered normal. Awww I can't even imagine..I'm glad I graduated but I couldn't imagine taking my classes and being pregnant... stress stress! But you will be fine :) And tomorrow do you find out if it's a boy or a girl?

Yes, the doctor has always told me that my uterus is tilted 'backwards' against the back so now that I am pregnant it still is, so the baby is more towards my back and has space to go back or forth if he wishes so! :-) it's so funny though, when he sometimes comes up from the back and I can see my belly getting bigger as he comes towards the belly more.. and then he goes back again and when he does that I have like 'nerv'pain in my back for a little while. But that's ok! He can swim around as much as he wishes! ;-) I hope the belly will keep growing bigger of course, but a small belly is cute too! My friend is due next week and her belly is sooo petite, but, you can easily tell she is pregnant! (she look like she is about 7 months or so). Anyways, congratulations to you and your husband on your little one, and the best of luck!

Wow same day eh? That's awesome! Yeah I've already had THREE ultrasounds... insane right? It's been great though...you're going to be so excited because they are already so developed at this stage! I hope you get what you want as far as the gender goes!! :-D How are you feeling?

hey i heard that if you drink like some applejuice or a sugary beverage an hour or so b4 the u/s then the baby is apt to be more active....i hope mine wont be a little booger and not show me anything..that would be a bummer
