August 29, 2008- I saw my mid-wife yesterday and she said that everything is going fine. She believes I have a bladder infection and put me on an anti-bacterial until my labs come back on Monday. She said the cramping in the front was my bladder and the low back pain would be beanies FEET directly in my backbone.. due to my retroverted cervix the baby is positioned against my back and not against my front. Perhaps this is why I don't have a belly yet? Anyways the cramping and backpain was not caused by pre-term labor and I was freaking out over nothing.. better to be safe than sorry though and she told me to watch out for excessive discharge because I can't use back pain as a pre-term labor indicator. Good news is that as I get bigger (if I do!) then Beanie will become more parallel and not putting so much pressure on my back!

August 28, 2008- Well I am off to see my mid-wife. She wants me to come in just to check me out and make sure everything is all right. She thinks I may have a kidney infection. I am used to getting urinary track infections but not kidney infections... fun. I just want to hear beanie's heartbeat! Will update when I get back.

August 26, 2008- Twenty weeks! Halfway to meeting my baby! I have been having pains this week. Cramping and back pain.. the back pain has been constant for a couple days now. I have been worried because so far the pregnancy has been normal.. amazingly normal. I haven't been sick or anything. It has just been perfect :) I can't wait to be a mommy <3

August 20, 2008- The baby's crib is coming today! I am sooo excited! I get to pick it up from UPS this afternoon after Bobby gets home from work. I will work with Bobby this weekend to get it stripped and make sure that it meets safety standards.. however.. I can't paint it until I get my next sonogram (which is four weeks from now) to confirm that I am having a boy.. or to shock the hell out of me and they say I'm having a girl!

August 12, 2008- Well my appointment went well. She said that the scans show me with a partial pravia.. not the complete preavia like the u/s tech had said. :o) I am happy because I have a good chance for the rest of the placenta to move up away from the cervix. She also said that she couldn't tell the 'anatomy' of the baby and was surprised that the u/s tech had told me and Bobby with such certainty that it was a boy. OH MY GOD.. I am in shock I think. I have a follow-up ultrasound at 24 weeks to see if the placenta has moved up and should be able to confirm boy or.. gasp a girl lol. I don't know what to think!

August 12, 2008- I have an appointment this morning at 10am with my mid-wife. We are discussing my ultrasound scans. Hopefully I will get some good news about my placenta. I am so nervous about what she will say. She doesn't do high risk pregnancies so I hope she doesn't refer me to a doctor. I am quite attached to Jeannie and don't like doctors!

August 8, 2008- I bought a crib for Joel! I found it on Ebay and won it for $54.88. I think it was quite a steal! Now I'm just hoping that shipping from Rhode Island won't cost so much to send it to Florida!

August 1, 2008- Well the sonogram went well yesterday. Very clear in there! It's a boy! I'm having a Joel Aiden Evers! It is so nice to know what beanie is :) funny though I am still thinking of Joel in beanie terms.. guess it is going to take a little while! I found out that I have a low lying placenta. It is laying over my cervix... this is upsetting because I had so wanted to have a natural water birth with my midwife. They say that the placenta can move up as the uterus grows. Hopefully it will. I am just around 17 weeks and still not big so maybe it will start growing up and out and move the placenta up along with it! Joel measured at 14 weeks 3 days and was about 4 ounces yesterday. The due date is January 26 based upon lmp so I believe it is incorrect as I know the conception date. Joel is due near the end of the first week in January. I can't wait until he makes his appearance!

July 31, 2008- I have my sonogram/ultrasound app. this afternoon at 2:30. I am so excited that I finally get to see my little one! I am two days from being 17 weeks and haven't even gotten a dating sonogram! I have been a nervous wreck thinking about it wondering if everything is okay and such. Since I am 17 weeks I might be able to see what the sex is today! I hope so. I think that getting a dating sonogram this late is silly as it is prob. going to be very off on the age of the baby. It will be so worth going though just to see it moving around in there :)

July 18, 2008- I had my second doctors appointment on the 15th! My fundal height measured at 14 inches and she said that I am almost 15 weeks along. My midwife told me that I am long because my FH is 14 inches and I am not hardly showing. She said that was one of the reasons why I didn't realize I was pregnant for so long. I heard the heart beat for the first time- was in the high 160s. This might mean girl right? ! My husband went with me.. was neat to get to hear the heartbeat the day before our 3rd anniversary <3 The baby has hooked itself up really low. She started out trying to find the heartbeat right around underneath my belly button but had to go down further.. the heartbeat was strongest way down to the left right near my hair line lol. She said that I should be able to start feeling it move really soon but that I may have a hard time distinguising movement from gas because the baby is really low. I get to set an appointment for a 'dating' sonogram and will be able to see our baby for the first time! Bobby and I are really getting excited. I only get two sonograms on medicaid unless something goes wrong so I get the dating sonogram and then another one around 20-22 weeks to try to determine the sex. Hopefully beanie is cooperative and shows itself because I only get one shot at that!

July 14, 2008- Well my cravings have changed.. I don't like the smell of beef jerky, can't stand the taste of water (I used to love water), can only drink grape juice, and haven't wanted to eat at all. I have only gained two pounds and am 14 weeks. I am a little concerned but see the doctor tomorrow so maybe she can relieve some of my fears!

June 25, 2008- My only craving so far has been Beef Jerky.. this is really strange as I have been a vegetarian for YEARS! I was in the grocery store a couple days ago and saw a slim jim and just HAD to have it. I eat plenty of vegetables and take pre-natal vitamins but maybe I am not getting enough protein? I haven't wanted a hamberger or anything like that just have been wanting beef jerky.. slim jims.. and those horrible little meat and cheese duos.. I don't know what is wrong with me!

June 23, 2008- Hi all, I am pregnant with my first! My husband, Bobby, is as excited as ever :) We have been married for three years (come July 16th), have two cats, Misty and Fuzz, and recently had a puppy, Molly Baby, pass away. We found out a week after Baby died that we were expecting! Made us feel better and I am happy knowing that Molly Baby is looking down from heaven at our new baby to be!

I have an associates degree in paralegal studies and recently quit my job as a paralegal to a firm that I had been at for three years. The 50 minute commute was wearing me out! I am currently at home just waiting to be a mommy!

My husband is an electrician and likes to work on old cars as a hobby. My hobbies are: scrapbooking, reading, playing online computer games (go World of Warcraft!) and I have been trying to get into sewing.. I'm getting there lol.

I am uncertain as to how far along I am in this pregnancy. I had thought that I was about 7-8 weeks going into my first doctors appointment but my mid-wife thinks I am maybe 11-12 weeks along! My next doctors appointment is on the 15th of July so hopefully I will know exactly how far along I am at that time! Until then? I'll just go with what my doctor suggests of 11 weeks!
