G'day to all thoes TTC, the girls awaiting the arrival of their baby and thoes who already have their angels with them. My names Amy, I'm 17 and am expecting a baby girl on the 9th of May. I'm engaged to her father and we are very much in love. At the moment we are using the name Abigail Kingswood for her. I don't know whether we'll stick with the name when she's here but it's nice to call her something for now. I have had 5 ultrasounds. One at 6 weeks, 5 days to confirm my due date, one at 13 weeks to rule out Down Syndrom (which we passed with flying colours), one at 14 weeks, 5 days because I had a scare. I had my big ultrasound at 18 weeks, she was measuring 3 days ahead of scedual and we of cause found out the sex. I had my final ultrasound at 18 weeks, 6 days as I had suspect leakage and there were fears my waters had broken. All turned out okay in the end.
I first felt her move on exactly 16 weeks and she hasn't slowed down since! She already seems to recognise voices and gets the most excited when her Daddy starts talking.

12 days after Mira's birth. I've lost nearly a 3rd of my pregnancy weight. I gained 13 kilos (28.6 pounds). Only 4.5 kilos (9.9 pounds) to loose!

07/01/2008-
Today I went to physio cause my shoulders, neck, lower back, buttock and legs are screwed. I saw a new bloke and I was quiet happy after I left. He was gentle but firm enough for me to feel relief. I haven't been able to crack my neck in nearly two years and when he did it for me, the release of tension gave me major headspins. He even gave me an $11 discount after I told him how much I get paid a week. He was so shocked at the condition of my back and told me he had never felt such damage in a person my age unless they had suffered major truma (car accident, birth defect ect). Lovely. I will admit though, it's nice hearing from a professional that I am justified in all the complaining I do to my fiance. It's been a long time since anyone besides my Mum has realised what serious pain I'm in everyday. It's hard to look at a normal looking 17 yr old girl and fathom that they spend everyday in agony because of their back. Now I'm pregnant and it's worse 10 fold.
On the brighter side, Ryan and I registered for our baby shower...or rather Ryan registered for our baby shower and I just wondered around sighing at everything and making cutesy noises. I'm quite proud of the effort my man put into day. He considered everything, made sure there were items to suit all price ranges and really made sure that everything on there (within reason) would be something that would really benifit Kay's future needs.
I know my shower isn't for like another 6 weeks but I'm already stressing about it. All the invites are hand made and although they are simple enough, there is a lot of time in constructing them. Plus I need to make like 22 of them. I worked out that if everyone shows up, there will be 48 guests in my backyard, which just adds to the stress of catering for that many people. I need to get them out by the end of this week, begining of next, so it gives my guests a good 5 weeks to plan and make room for the 23rd (and to make sure they have time to save to spoil my little princess :D ).
Below is a picture of my invites. (mind the messy handwriting)
