Today I found out that I'm going to have a baby of my own! My husband and I have been trying now for about 3 1/2 years...and had finally given up after 3 failed IUI attempts. We had just finished going through the process to become a Foster Family, and were going to be getting our first child in about 3 months when WALA! Baby in belly. We've decided to put off the foster parenting for a few years but still very much would still like to do it.
My 15 year old step son was so happy that he's FINALLY going to have a baby sister or brother!

Jan. 26th-
Today we found out that we are going to be the proud parents of a baby girl! We're SO excited!
Joe and I both felt like it was a girl, but for some reason I just KNEW that when we went in it was going to be a boy...I guess I was wrong. :)
I think now that I know what the gender is...the next half of the pregnancy will go alot faster for me...atleast I hope so!

i only started swelling when i started not feeling well. but i guess it was because of my high blood pressure? they never said anything, but maybe it was preeclampsia. i went in not feeling well, i was a little swollen, i had protein in my pee, and he sent me directly over. he was up in labor and delivery before i got there! so maybe it was something? no clue. dude, its FREAKIN HOT OUT! wtf?! hah. and we cant turn on the air because olivia is comfy with a thick blanket on in this heat. grr. babies.

Michael is getting huge! He was 8 lbs even at the doctor yesterday. He got his 2 month shots before his due date rolled around! I know I was uncomfortable, and didn't make it nearly as fas as you have. Maybe your little one will choose to make a very easy entrance into the world or be a very laid back baby to repay you for the end of this pregnancy! Keeping my fingers crossed for you!

sore as in achy body? well let me know how your appt goes!! i cant wait til you have her :] heh thank you :] i think shes cute too :P hah. her little fart smiles are so adorable! this morning she saw me and smiled big, but i dont know if that was gas or not. she hasnt been gassy today, so maybe it was a real smile? since she was born shes been lifting her head and now she pushes off of my chest and lifts her head. and she pushes her butt in the air with her legs. i dont think thats normal for a now 5 day old baby hahah. well, 4 1/2 :P

I am totally not trying to make you feel worse, but my sister and I are dying thinking of your circumstances! I have been reading along and keeping up with everyone still. My sis was induced last week at 39 because she cried when they told her the baby was aready 8 lbs. i told her yours is 9 and your doc won't induce til past your due date. That sucks! I will say some prayers that labor comes soon. Just wanted to let you know I sympathize with you!

Do you do the fetal kick test. You should drink some juice lie down and in 1 hour you should feel 10 movements and if you dont try this again and you still dont feel movement call your doctor. I dont want to scare you but my friend lost her baby because she would not call her doctor because lack of fetal movement. I dont want to see anyone go through that. I have to do fetal kick test 3 to 4 times daily because some time my baby heart rate will drop during a contraction (BH contraction) I am sure things are fine for you but please dont hesitate to call your doctor

i've heard from a lot of people that the baby's movement slows down towards the end. if you're worried though, you should do a kick count. there's instructions in "what to expect when you're expecting" if you have that book and i'm pretty sure this website has something about it.

Hang in there Andais. The baby will come soon and you'll forget how frustrating this last stretch was. One of the women in my friends network went to almost 42 weeks and it was tough, but now she is just ecstatic and in love with her son, all of that is forgotten. And he did finally come out- it will happen. (And I'm right there waiting with you- absolutely NO signs of labour except a little period-like cramping.)

Totally right there with you! I am due on Thursday and was told that if I hadn't gone by then they would induce me on the 16th. Now they are telling me they don't have any record of saying that and they would more likely induce me on the 19th. ARRGGHHHHH!
Don't they understand we are just so tired of being pregnant and want our babies?? I have tried everything and am still only 2cm dilated. No contractions, no nothing! By the way can I borrow your .45?? LOL

keep an eye out on those period like cramps. thats all my labor was. no back labor, nothing on top..all down low. so keep a look out :P being sick in labor would suck. i threw up, and that was bad enough. but i felt AMAZING after i threw up. well, amazing enough for labor lol. when do you think youll go?

oh and im feeling good, other than the pain and hormones. they did NOT prepare me for these hormones. im crying constantly. i cry because shes so beautiful it boggles my mind, and i cry because im scared to death about her pooping or peeing or eating. since i dont have milk yet i feel like she starving. they say the colostrum is enough, but this baby is like STARVING. so i broke down and gave her formula. and she chugged it after being on my boob for 55 mins. she normally is only on for 10 to 20. and i have a lot of colostrum. so they really dont prepare you for anything but the labor and delivery.

i went in friday morning because i was feeling realllly awful, and it turned out my bp was high..so be careful about that. aidensmama is in labor if she hasnt had him yet, and she lost her plug either today or yesterday, and shes in labor now. so you might go INSANELY soon.
