Hi there,

I work for a television production company based in the UK . We are currently making a documentary for ITV1 exploring the issues surrounding pregnancy and eating disorders. The film will be a thoughtful and insightful look into this extremely sensitive subject.

We’re in the research stage of our production and very keen to chat to women who are, or have been, pregnant whilst having an eating disorder.

I've been hanging out on a different mommy website a lot lately. When I checked back in on this one I noticed that everyone I've been talking to for months has already had their babies! I'm being induced on Thursday at 41 weeks 4 days. Can you believe I've held on to this baby that long??? LOL!

 Awww, I also went to the bach for Vacation when I was pregnant! I got a bunch of crazy looks though, it kind of pissed me off! I hope people were more respectful to you!

Is this your first baby? My doctors want to induce me b/c my baby is in the 87th percentile weight, but they're scared to because I'm only half a cm dilated! I thought you had to be at least 2 cm dilated in order to be induced, but you are only 1 cm, correct? Please let me know, it will give me hope if so! lol!

Wow..we have the same going on here. i have been 2cm + my due date is 7/1too. Dr. scheduled me on July 3rd to be induced b/c i can't take being pregnant anymore. Usually they don't let you go a week past your due date. Hope This helps. Let me know what DR. says.

a sweep is when they get there fingers and kinda put them around the inside of ur cervix, it irritates them and kick starts them opening and thinning out, doesnt always work...but when i had one years ago, i went into labour thaT DAY...

I was told it could change all at once for instance if your water broke. Walking, sex, and nipple stimulation are things you can do to hurry things along. However, I am scared that nothing will change for twelve plus days too and I want baby to be here already. Good luck!

I tried castor oil the other day and they say to mix it with orange juice...well DON"T. it floats all to the top so your first few gulps are pure oil and its sooo disgusting. The taste isn't bad, just the texture. After going through an hour of hell to make it all go down my throat, it allll came back up into the toilet so it obviously didn't work. I read someone put it into a smoothie and I'm actually going to try that tomorrow since with a smoothie it won't all float to the top.

Well i took castor oil with my last pregnancy what i did was get the tasteless and odorless kind and i took like 4 big ol' like shots and chased it with orange soda.... It shouldn't make you sick unless you can't handle certain textures in your mouth.... Good Luck.....

It is the same for me I feel like the Doc should say you are ready to go because of the pains I feel. I guess we just have to wait it out it is probably becuase it is our first!

I also have some swelling, but also, unfortunately, have high blood pressure. I had to go get thigh high compression stockings (which help)and must put my feet up each night. Most importantly (and I need to follow this myself) don't stress. Best of luck to you!

Hey, I cant even wear my shoes anymore, I have to wear flip flops! I am going to get a pair of crocs this week, cuz my feet are cold. My ankles get the size of my calfs, and the tops of my feet swell so bad My toes look awful. My doc says to prop as often as possible, and so long as my blood pressure is good, they are not to worried. I swell from sitting, like the baby belly is cutting of circluation to my lower half.

Since this is your first baby yes your feet will swell alot. Try to not be on your feet too much. I should know I'm five months pregnant with my third child which is a boy.

Thankyou very much!!I Felt the baby move alot last night.. no doubt that it was my little one kicking and moving around in there.. I was so amazed I just layed there waitng for more lol! 11 more days till US and I am still very impatient, but very excited too!
