I am 26 years old and I have been married to my wonderful husband since June 2006. We have been together since we were seniors in high school. We are currently TTC. We have been trying TTC since December of 2007 with no luck. It's a little hard to get pregnant when you aren't ovulating and not having periods. So I went through a bunch of testing and was recently diagnosed with PCOS - Polycystic Ovary Syndrome. So in October I will be starting Clomid to help me ovulate. Hopefully with a little bit of luck we can get pregnant!

Monday, 29 September Don't take my word for it but I think you can do it that way, I would double check with your doc first in case you have to test in the afternoon. I'm not sure if you will go through a whole box, it depends on how many days you test I guess. Good luck and I hope you ovulate too! kristinh -

Thursday, 21 August About 3 years ago I was on clomid for 4 months and nothing happened. This time around I was on the 1st month ( only drinking half a pill) and it did the trick. It just seemed that everything was just right. My insulin levels have been stable for over a year and it just was right time. laniebug -
Monday, 18 August Hey, well it is a long road and can be expensive. We do not have alot of money and insurance would not cover anything other than some of the medications. We were lucky enough that my in-laws loaned us money in order to give them grandchildren. Seems worth it to me!! But i know that some clinics, if you talk to them, will work with you on a payment schedule. I think you still have to have a deposit but everything helps!! Good luck to you and anymore questions feel free to ask! tonysmommy -
Sunday, 17 August Wow, that must be hard. I really hope you aren't feeling discouraged...it sounds like there is hope. :D I know it is a lot easier said than done, but try not to worry about it constantly! I know, it isn't possible. I hope that things work out for you two..it sounds like you have good chances!! cadesmommy -
Sunday, 17 August IVF isnt that bad. The begining part when they stimulate your ovaries to make eggs with the shots makes you tired and kinda moody. Its so worth it though. It wasnt near as bad as I thought it would be. Good luck. If you have any questions let me know. Also, you are a bit sore after they do the egg retrieval but they give you pain killers so its not that bad. I did it 4 times. tonysmommy -
Sunday, 17 August I saw your comment about PCOS and IVF..I was diagnosed with PCOS in 2004...I was also told that I would not be able to conceive naturally, it was recommended that I go on BC pills and when I was ready to try to get pregnant I would need to use Clomid, and go through several other steps, long story somewhat short, I got pregnant last July and had a bad a baby boy in April. This was my fourth pregnancy, all were conceived naturally, I just did not have the hormones to carry the pregnancies, however this baby made it somehow with out any interventions. I would strongly recommend you see a different doctor for a second opinion, there might be other options. I know for us, it took seven years, but things happen when they are supposed to. I hope everything turns out well for you...if you have any more questions about PCOS, let me know!! laniebug -
Sunday, 17 August Hello, I just saw your comment on the general babies page.. I am not pg but gave birth to b/g twins 6 1/2 months ago after undergoing my very first round of ivf. I didnt have your situation but my hubby and I tried for years without getting pg, (my tubes are blocked) and was told this was probably my only option for having my own baby. Anyway sorry I rambled but if you have any questions just leave me a message. Good luck with whatever you decide. luvbeingamom -
Sunday, 17 August I read your post in General:Babies forum and i wanted to say that i was in your situation exactly (even on DH part) and i conceived the more conventional way both times. I am not sure if you ahve spoken to your doc about other things like clomid or metforman. I used metforman and within 2 months both times iwas pregnant. Now i understand this isn't the solution for everyone but it is certainly something to consider. After my DH and I went to the first 2 docs they both said that i should look into adoption, i finally found a doc i liked and she suggested these less invasive and less expensive options! I wish you all the luck in the world TTC. I know how hard it is to want to be pregnant and just can't seem to happen for you! If you have any questions or want to hear my story (kinda long) i am more than happy to share! tonyab -
Saturday, 26 July Let me know how your appt. goes. It always takes so long to get a Dr appt....why does it take so long? Don't they know how desparate we all are?! ha ha tonyab -
Thursday, 24 July Hi, I was just checking in to see how your HSG went and I read your blog. I'm glad that your tubes were clear, but I'm not sure what the cysts on your ovaries means. Were you also taking Clomid? Anyway, I hope that your appt goes well, keep me posted. Good luck to you!! ~Tonya blessedbaby2be -
