Week 9 Date: 01/02/2008

We had our first US yesterday. It was so great. We got to see our baby for the first time and got to hear the heartbeat. Dr. said the heartbeat is nice and strong. Was a bit shocked to hear that we are only 9 weeks now and not 13 as we all thought. But that gives us an extra month to prepare. I love my little baby who is 'the

size of a large green olive' at the moment, measuring in at 22mm. It's so amazing!

Week 10 Date: 07/02/2008

So I am in my 10th week now and am so happy. The only thing that I can really say is that I am very tired. At the moment when I go to bed to sleep, it feels like I am going to a wonderful land of pure bliss... hope that this will pass soon. Otherwise, I am having the best time and I am enjoying being pregnant. I can't wait to feel this little baby in my belly...

Week 11 Date: 12/02/2008

Ok, so today is the start of a new week, week 11. I am having a great time being pregnant so far. I still haven't put on any weight yet.... luckily. It must be the walking that is helping with that. My BB's are not so sore anymore, but they are looking very "strange" at the moment.... and they are getting huge :-) I can't wait for the next US at 15 weeks..... just another month....

Week 11 15/02/2008

So I have been having weird cramps and all of a sudden I can't sit down with out releasing my button on my jeans.... so, looks like baby is growing quickly now, and I may be sporting a nice bump... YAY. I can't wait to show :-)

Week 11 18/02/2008

Ok, today I am having a bad headache.... I know that it is from my neck! I have been sleeping in weird positions! Will have to ask Ian to give it a good rub for me :-) Almost 12 weeks now... I really can't wait. Only 3 more weeks and we are having our next scan :-0

Week 12 19/02/2008

Week 12.... I am so happy to be here. The high risk period is finally coming to an end. I am very excited, still :-) Ian is also quite excited... he makes me smile. I feel very much in love today...

Week 13 26/02/2008

Goodness, week 13 has brought with it a crampy colon...... but then I haven't been drinking enough water. Today I have increased my water intake again. I have been having terrible sinus the last few days and the post nasal drip has made me nauseas... seems to be subsiding though... also after the water... go figure! My tum is just "popping" out now. It's so amazing. I really can't wait to feel Baby moving. Ian also can't wait, though he may have to wait a little longer that me to feel the baby moving :-)

Week 13 Day 1 27/02/2008

I am sure that I just felt movement..... like a mixture between bubbles and butterflies??? I wonder.... It must be that?! I have not felt anything like that before :-) I am so happy!!!

Week 14 Day 2 06/03/2008

Ok so 14 weeks now. I am having a good time. The only change this week is slightly swollen feet.... what's happening. Once I am home, with my feet up it goes away. Oh the strange things our bodies do during pregnancy. I still feel flutters every once in while, depending on how I am sitting. I am sure that soon I will feel my little bean moving around a lot.... just so excited :-)

Week 15 Day 1 12/03/2008

Ok so 15 weeks now and the boobs are becoming huge :-) Tomorrow is our second scan, and hopefully we will get to see the sex of the baby. I am sure that I will have more to say tomorrow :-)

Week 16 Day 3 20/03/2008

Wow! 16 weeks already. Time seems to be starting to go by quite fast now. Today I am having "stretching" cramps again, so am expecting a bit of growth soon :-) I can't wait!!!! Felt baby moving again today.... has been a while. My boobs are getting a bit sore again.... Ian says that my nipples look like UFO's. LOL I can kick his bum!!! I still love being pregnant :-)

Week 17 Day 1 25/03/2008

Ok, so now it is getting scary as to how fast time is starting to go by. My bump is starting to grow nicely now and I will have to buy some maternity very soon. I can not wait for a propper "kick" now from the baby. The excitement is quite hectic..... come on now baby. Ian seems to be settling in to the idea of becoming a father more. I think that maybe the shock is getting less for both of us. We tried for so long and nothing happened and then just when we decided not to try anymore.... I got pregnant :-) Aint life grand. I can't wait to meet this active little muchkin

Week 19 07/04/2008

Week 19. Wow, the tum is really starting to push out now. Just one more week and we get to see munchkin again. I have had a terrible apetite for sweets... should probably watch the sugar intake!!! I think that I had my first 'propper' kick or punch today. Man, I am so excited, I feel like I could burst out of my skin. I am really starting to feel hungry a lot more???? Oh well, baby wants FOOD!!! lol

Week 20 14/04/2008

WOW! I can't believe that I am 20 weeks today :-) Tomorrow is the big day.... our 20 week u/s and the day that we see if baby is a little girl or a little boy. I am so excited. I am still waiting on becoming huge... every time I think tum is about to pop into a huge bubble, it doesn't. I am still wearing the same clothing..... oh well, I am sure that it will 'pop' out soon enough. Can't wait to report again tomorrow.

Week 20 Day 1 15/04/2008

YAY! Today we had our 20 week scan..... everything is fine. Doctor says that we are going to have our hands full as baby is very busy :-) We also foun out today that we are having a LITTLE PRINCESS. We are so happy. She is going to be the apple of her Daddy's eye. I can't believe that time is flying by so quickly. I keep saying that!!!!!! Aaaawwww, my little girl. It seems to make it so much more official now. Doctor Atzl was trying to see her face and she wouldn't move her hands away.... he only got to see her eyes. She is shy :-) My Mom was with and I think that she really loved to see the baby like that, and was so happy and laughed when the baby moved. Ian was quiet and chuckled once in a while. He is so cute :-)

Week 21 21/04/2008

So I am 21 weeks today. Winter has come in with a bang and I feel like I'm getting a cold. Otherwise I am actually feeling quite good. Mom took me shopping on Saturday and I bought my first two maternity tops :-) She also bought baby the most adorable clothing. This little baby is going to be so spoilt. I have been feeling the flutters a little more often now. I really just can't wait for the kicks and punches. We love this little girl so much already.

................. well I wanted it and I got it......... at about 11h30 i got my first real kicks and punches in there. My tum is bouncing today :-)

Week 21 Day 2

Ok, so I was told to be careful what I wish for... it seems that my little angel has her most active period between 2 and 4 in the morning, and I don't know if it's just because it's new to me, but I couldn't sleep until she stopped :-) I must say that I much rather prefer being able to feel her though. Oooohhh, I love her sooo much.

Week 22 28/04/2008

I am starting to feel my little girl move more and more and I still love it. It is a public holiday here today and Ian and I are very lazy. We have been watching movies and eating the whole day. We go to get our house keys tonight, for our new house.... we are so excited. Oh dear, just the big move again on Thursday..... anyway, everything will be worth it..... once we have our little Princess.

Week 23 Day 1 06/05/2008

Ok, so the time is going by so fast it's scary. I am feeling my little angel move around more and more and I am loving it. We are in the new house and loving it :-) Preg is still treating me well.... We went to the hospital where our Precious Munchkin will be born. All looks well and we will have to book the bed shortly. Oh my, it is very exciting. I am starting half day where I work and half day at another company. It is going to be a tough month but I will get through it.:-)

Week 24 Day 1 13/05/2008

Ok, so my little angel is kicking up a storm lately. I love every minute of it. I have started to feel the movement against my hand.... which is wonderful. I have tried to get Ian to feel her but she stops moving when he puts his hand on my tummy... she will be kicking him soon enough though :-) Looks like we are back on the name Miah... but we'll have to see what happens. There is still just over three months before her arrival and a lot can happen in that time. My next scan is on Thursday 15/05/2008. I always look forward to seeing her :-) tummy is just popping out now... actually quite scary but I love it.

Week 25 Day 1 20/05/2008

Man oh man am I getting big now. People say that I am walking like a pregnant woman.... waddling like a duck... :-) I don't feel it! I am now buying new clothes because my pants roll down off my tummy... it's quite funny! Ian thanked me last night for carrying his child and taking care of myself, for not smoking and that he loves me. I get so emotional when I think about it. That was such a beautiful thing to say. I love him so much.

Week 26 Day 4 30/05/2008

I can't believe that I am writing for this week so late :-( Anyway, here I am, almost at week 27 and can't believe it.... Baby is getting active, I am getting moody (he he he he) much to the dismay of others. I am still enjoying being preg. and simply just can't wait to have my baby in my arms... :-)

Week 28 Day 1

I can't believe that I missed week 27!!! I have been so religious about writing every week... even if it is silly??? Anyway, week 28 now and still going strong. I am just getting really tired in the mornings, like a zombie, and then in the afternoon I am fine again! Go figure! Baby seems to be getting stronger.... feeling her move so much more and I am HUUUGGGEEEE!!! The bump is huge, I haven't put on so much weight. The doctor has been very happy with the weight gain so far... let's hope he says the same next week :-)

Week 29 Day 3

HUUUUUUUGGGGGGGGGGEEEEEEEEEEEEE :-) and loving it!!! My baby girl is weighing in at 1.4kg at the moment (approx. 3 lbs). She has a very strange way of sleeping in mytummy... doc says she is silly :-) All is well with her and me... I am just very tired, not physically but I feel like I could sleep all the time. Otherwise I can't complain. I am still having the best pregnancy ever !!!

Week 30

Week 30! OMG, 60 days to go and our little Miah will be born :-) I feel Miah's movements much stronger lately and am loving it. Can't really say much is different this week except that I am still tired and sleep whenever possible :-) Daddy Ian is also getting more excited by the day :-)

Week 31

YAY! Week 31 and counting. Baby got a fright this week end when Jakes (our Jack Russel) barked. My whole tummy bounced and then she kicked. After that she didn't move for a long time... she must have got a big fright. I felt so sorry for her :-( Ian and I are counting down the days... we can't wait to have our little princess with us. I am still feeling good :-)

Week 32 Day 3

Woah! That's all I have to say this week :-) lol!!! I can't find a comfortable way to sleep :-( I keep tossing and turning... but I still have nothing to complain about and am having a great pregnancy! The days are going by so fast!!! YAY!!!

Week 33 Day 2

Well, I can now say that I have been a little ill this last week or so. Still, I will not complain as I have been blessed with a great pregnancy. I am looking forward now to the arrival of our little girl and am eager to embark on this journey with my Ian. I still think that the time is going quickly though... everyone said that the last bit would feel like an eternity :-) We have a check up today with the doc and as always I am looking forward to seeing little Miah on the screen again :-) My little Moon child :-)

Week 34

YAY! The time is coming and I am getting so very excited. Doc has moved Miah's Birthday to 21 August now... who knows, maybe she'll even be born earlier :-) Doc knows what he is doing. Ian is getting very excited... he has been cooking almost every night and I really appreciate it. We are going to get Miah's cot and compactum home probably on Monday next week. I can not wait... baby shower is this week end... my Mom and sister have gone to a lot of trouble to make this Saturday a great day. I can't wait!!! :-)

Week 35

Week 35 today :-) I am getting so excited now. I had my baby shower on Saturday and there were 33 people there... I was so overwhelmed and it was a sensory overload! I received a wonderful three wheeler pram from my sister and her partner, Cris. On top of that, we have received four large bin bags full of baby clothes and blankets and, and, and... I can not believe how wonderful it has been. Now we just need to finally get the cot and compactum to the house and we will be ready. My Mom bought us the baby bag so we are all packed and ready to go... should the occasion arise :-) I am still feeling good, just a little heavy, and the old pelvics are hurting a little. I do have a check up today, and can't wait to see my Little Angel Miah again :-)

Week 36

Om my... now I really look pregnant. My face is all swollen and my lips look like tyres :-) lol! Oh well, it's all part of it and I am still doing well. 17 more days and our little Miah will be with us... wow, it is going fast now. I can not wait...

Week 37 11 August 2008

I have just noticed that there are a number of weeks where I never included the date... go figure ;-) 37 weeks now and so ready to to have my little Angel. My BP is now rising and doc has doubled my meds :-( I finish up with work on Friday and have a weeks rest and then get to have my little Miah :-) I can not believe that the day is almost apon us :-) Ian also can't wait, or Nana... or anybody really. Everyone is so excited to see this little munchkin :-) She is going to be so blessed :-) (she is already blessed :-) )

Week 38... well tomorrow... 18 August 2008

I had my first peeing accident yesterday... lol! It was a strange experience :-) And I am back to having great heartburn! Anyway, I don't really mind and... there are only 5 more sleeps until I have my Little Baby Miah with me and I CAN NOOOOTTTT WAIT! I am getting so very excited as is Ian. I can't actually believe that the time is actually here. Little Baby Miah... our Moon Child :-)

Week 38 Day 3 21 August 2008

Today is my last day being pregnant. It will be a very strange feeling to no longer be pregnant. I will miss it, but more than that I can not wait to see Miah Ava tomorrow. This is the day that my extreme excitement has turned to something a little deeper, I feel in awe of GOd and of Nature and will write down my thanks to God for giving us a child. We have waited a long time to have this child, and we have now been blessed.

Dear Miah,

Mommy and Daddy can not wait to meet you tomorrow. You are already the light in our lives and we love you more than life itself. You are a gift from God, and we intend to treasure you for all our days.
