LOL I always have the time at the moment. Oh wow, so whatever happens your defiantly going to have your baby next week, I'm so excited for you, at least you can now prepare and relax a little knowing that you have a date in mind. Yeah I had an ultrasound at 36 weeks and he was already 7.4lbs. They said that although my fundal height is just an estimate, the baby is defiantly getting bigger and bigger and I dread to think what he's going to be weighing at birth. The little trouble maker seems to be too comfy to want out at the moment though. They also told me that hes lying back to back, which will make labour even more painful and difficult...hmmmmm, maybe another reason why they should start to discuss my options you'd think. Well I have an appointment with the consultant on Friday morning, and by then I'll be 38+5 weeks so I'm keeping my fingers crossed that they'll discuss at least something with me, I'm hoping they'll do a stretch and sweep to move things along. I got so excited on Sunday night, when I lost my plug that I couldnt sleep, I was convinced that I was going to go into labour that night, so imagine my disappointment when I eventually woke up feeling just fine LOL. I've lost more and more of it over the past 2 days, and I seriously didnt think there could be so much, think the picture on the forum but 5 times over, its gross. The baby has also moved further down into the pelvis, which is a little strange as apparently most baby's dont FULLY engage until labour starts, all the signs are there, but nothing is happening. I'm planning on having a vaginal birth, but am so worried about all the possible problems due to his size, I mean theres a chance he'll get stuck and they'll have to use forceps and even then I might have to get a C-Section anyway. I'm praying that labour starts soon though. Anyway Good luck for Tuesday, I'll be thinking of you. I'm sure it'll go smoothly for you. xxx

Oh wow...that is a BIG baby. I wish I knew how big they estimate mine at, but they don't do that here :( I'm still waiting for something to happen but so far nothing other then the few odd sharp pains. I finally packed up my bag and my sons bag this weekend, so I'm set to go! I didn't get any stretch marks last pregnancy, but the other day I noticed one that popped up. My friend seems to think its just a vein, but since then, I've gotten about 3 more little ones. Poo. Its probably karma, because I ordered myself a bikini the other day from the Victoria's secret sale, and then the next morning it showed up. Go figure. I goto the hospital tomorrow night to pre register, and then on Thursday have another dr. appointment, and other then that, nothing. Hubby is betting that this weekend is the one, but who knows. Only a week more for you! Thats so exciting!!!

Hi again,
Wow, he's going to be a big one, I can imagine that its so not easy for you at the moment but hey, only a week to go! I can definately reccomend places for you to visit, York is a must for starters. It used to be the UK capital many years ago and is very olde worldey, so ancient and still unspoilt. Am just waiting for hubby to come in from work, he is working late tonight. I have a mid-wife apointment tomorrow, possibly my last as its a bank holiday here next week. Byeeeeeeeeee for now, Sal x

I agree the last few weeks have been so painfull for me as well. I woke up this morning not able to move. My husband had to help me out of bed to the bathroom. I sat on the floor for too long and did to much yesterday, trying to do too much around the house. I think I bruised or sprained my hips/pelvic bone not to mention my lower back is destroyed. I will all be over soon and we both will have our bodies back and have our beautiful sons!!! You are in my prayers as well.. I will keep you posted!

Hi Angi,
So you know that unless your baby comes before hand, you will have him(?) next Tuesday, is that right? Exciting to know your date. Where is Jacksonville in the US? I have a cousin who lives in Philidelphia. Have you ever been to the UK? I live in the North, right near to where the Brontes came from, have you heard of them? I feel tired today, each week I seem to be able to do less and this week have decided not to go into town on my own but only go for a little walk.
Sal x

How you hanging in there? Thanks for the info on my page... That's funny you mentioned the on Q pain thing..they are doing that for me. I hope it does it's job. I really wish I could take morphine, but im allergic. It gives me a terrible headache and drops my blood pressure REAL low, and on top of all that it doesn't take the pain away. They have given me demerol in the past and it worked ok for me. You don't have long now, are you excited? I can barely sleep.. nervous, excited, anxious...arrgggg I wsh wed would hurry up and get here!!! :)

MommyRyan24 - Sunday, 18 May
well, for one, i really counted on being able to deliver vaginally so the csection bummed me out, but the reason why it was so horrible is because a-i could feel some pain during it so im not sure they gave me enough of the spinal. and then, they gave me wayyyyyyyyyy to much medication, i believe morphine during the csection, which first made me feel like i was going to vomit, and then they gave me more for post op, which managed to drug me so much that i do not even remember holding my daughter for the first time. i tried nursing her and fell asleep so they took her from me and took her to the nursery. and then she was taken to the NICU for breathing problems, and she ended up staying in the NICU for about 10 days. the csection made her breathe in fluid and she had lots of fluid trapped in her lungs. so after it all, my recovery was awful and i had to leave without my baby. the whole thing was just a complete nightmare and i am just terrified of it happening again. sorry to scare you, but thats my story. i do hope everything goes well for you.

When I first when to this doctor, I was told that I have a "tilted cervix" which makes it hard for them to check me out too! I wanted to smash our video camera right then and there. I called Sony today about it, and got some song and dance about how I can send it in for repair or something and see if that fixes it. Said it will run about $300. No thanks! I feel so terrible for my friend, I couldn't imagine finding something like that out. She is a really strong girl though, and she seems to be doing ok for the situation she is dealing with right now. Awww a dance recital! I can't wait to do things like that!!

Ljay - Friday, 16 May
Oh no hun sorry things have been pretty tough on you, I've had one of those days also. I went into the hospital this morning for my weekly check up and my blood pressure had rocketed AGAIN. Well they sent me straight upstairs to be monitered, just like last week. I thought 'here we go I'll be admitted again'. But luckily this time I got to go home. My bloods came back negative again for pre-eclampsia and I mentiond that I'd had some pretty bad back pain for the past 48 hours. Well along with that I started to get a tightning feeling in my lower belly, right above the pubic bone, which they told me could have possibly been contractions....yay at last. Only thing is, is that they have completely stopped, and when I did feel them I only had about 4 in half an hour and they didnt hurt....Noooooo, I was getting so excited. They decided that they didnt want to induce me as the chance of then having to have a C-Section was higher, and they just want to wait until I go into labour on my own. I'm OK about that, but each week, I think....this must be the week, and nothing happens. At least your getting some firm progress tho which I'm very happy for you. I think you'll probably have him this weekend. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you. Anyway I've decided that I'm going to cheer myself up with a BIG FAT Pizza for dinner tonite....I'm going to have a large one all to myself, yummy, I think I deserve it. LOL Let me know if you have any changes xxx

marinac - Friday, 16 May
Oh wow! You sure did have a busy time! Ugh... getting checked for dilation is SO painful.. I remember getting it done with my son and being suprised at the pain from it, it took the edge off my contractions! Hahah. I havn't been having any more pains other then the low down stretching feeling, and my feet are sore. other then that, I've been pretty uneventful baby wise. Took our little guy to the fair last night, and I video taped him on all the kiddie rides, he was having SO much fun, and then at the end of it, our video camera decided that it didn't like the dvd disk I was using, and now it won't let me to anything, so the disk is garbage. Pretty upsetting missing his first time at the fair on tape. I had a really nice day yesterday too for the most part other then bad news about a friends pregnancy, it was nice and sunny here, and my hubby's grandma took Randy for the morning, so it was nice to sit around and relax. Took me awhile to get into it though, because I am so used to having him here all the time! Waiting game continues... LOL! Talk to you soon!

marinac - Thursday, 15 May
I just realized that today is the 15th too... if that hubby of yours is right, you better send him out pronto to get you some lotto tickets!!!!

marinac - Thursday, 15 May
Uh oh! You havn't posted in awhile so maybe you have a new baby by now?!?!?!

marinac - Wednesday, 14 May
Heya, we must be be almost the same person, because I know everything about when my last period was and when we conceived too, but I guess that doesn't matter to the doctors. Today I'm feeling like crap, still have this cold, but now instead of just sinuses I have this really gross cough too. I feel SO attractive! LOL. Last night we took our son to the circus, he had a great time until just a little after the mid way point.. I think it was just getting a little too long for him. Anytime I ask him last night or still even today if he had fun, his reply is "Too Loud!." After that when I crawled into bed, I almost had a fit. I got SO grouchy out of nowhere. My hubby cuddled up to me, I rolled over as best I could.. and gave him the dirtyest look I could make. Then I lied there sighing, feeling like I wanted to either cry or yell at someone. Then I was lucky enough to barf my brains out this morning too, but I'm feeling tons better now. Still no contractions or anything at all, but with the amount of coughing I'm doing, maybe I'll cough her out! Poo! Havn't had an ultrasound since around 23 weeks or so, in Canada they allow you to have 1-2, and then after the one you have around 20 weeks there arn't anymore unless you are highrisk or something went on with your last ultrasound. I was able to get 4 this pregnancy because the one ultrasound lady I kept getting was a dummy and would forget to scan some part of the baby! I hope your doing good!

Ljay - Wednesday, 14 May
Wow your situation sounds identical to mine. Yep my blood pressure was very very high but like you my urine and bloods came back negative for pre-eclampsia which was a relief. I'm just very confused as I really dont know whats going to happen. I've been told that the baby is big and was 7 and a half pounds 2 weeks ago, but theres been no talk of any induction or c-section. The midwife at the hospital told me that I would have him very soon, but that was nearly a week ago. I dont think I've been having contractions, but for about 20 minutes last night I think I had my first braxton hicks, my whole stomach just went tight and loose and this happened about 5 times and just stopped. I also had some more back pains this morning but after half an hour they turned into nothing.....hmmm this not knowing is making me very scared. I have an appointment on Friday so I'll keep you posted. Please keep me updated if you have any changes too hun. Thinking of you and little baby xx

marinac - Tuesday, 13 May
I think we would still probally use Reese for a middle name. I can't beleive how terrible its been this time coming up with names! It would be so much easier if they came out and had a tag stuck to them saying who they were! I had an appointment yesterday, she didn't check me or anything which is a bummer because now I have no clue if there is anything going on or not. She also tried to bump my due date up to the 10th of July according to one of the ultrasounds I had months ago, and I said ok, but really I was mad about it, so I've decided she can think thats the due date all she wants, because I'm not bumping myself back a week! I'm still having such a hard time wrapping my head around the fact that soon I'll have a new little one! I'm almost in shock, you would think it was just today that I got a positive result on my test, the way I feel today!
