Hi there,

I work for a television production company based in the UK . We are currently making a documentary for ITV1 exploring the issues surrounding pregnancy and eating disorders. The film will be a thoughtful and insightful look into this extremely sensitive subject.

We’re in the research stage of our production and very keen to chat to women who are, or have been, pregnant whilst having an eating disorder.

We are leaving the sex of the baby as a surprise, I figure you need a little surprise after all of that pain!!! The birthing class was ok, but like you I am looking forward to the breastfeeding classes next week. I read alot and research alot so I knew most of the labour part, but it was good for my hubby to see. He didn't turn away when they showed the video so that's a good start....He is very supportive and takes such good care of me, I know he will be fine. I know closer to the due date us women like to nest, but because I am not allowed to do work around the house, my hubby is nesting for me!!!!! Last night he was meant to go out with the boys and he stayed home and cleaned out the wardrobe???? It is funny to watch, and he will not let me help at all. Maybe I will nest when I have had the baby and I can go back to being myself......My friend had a baby last Wednesday and when I went to see her it hits me that one of those little creatures is growing inside of me, I am not sure if I am starting to freak out a little because it is getting so close, but I am thinking about labour a little more now and it's scary.......Because you have seen so many births are you comfortable with the process or a little freaked out??

My glucose test came back ok so it's back to the cupboard for some more chocolate lol!!!! So today is a great day for me, I hit the 30 week mark, I have been hanging out for 30 weeks so I can relax a little. After being in the hospital a couple of times I was so scared I was going to have this baby early and the survival rate after 30 weeks is good. I know what you mean about the constipation, it's a problem and I can wait for that to end..... My hubby is driving me in to work today so I can say my farwells to my work mates, they are planning a lunch for me and the weather today is great so I am looking forward to it. Only 6 more weeks of work until maternity leave. When are you going to finish work? and how long will you stay at home? I am taking off 12 months but may need to go back earlier, but I hope not. We start our pre natal classes next week, hubby isn't good with graphic details so I am sure I will have a story to tell once we have been. Hope you are well.

I loved your message, sugar loading sounds like something I would do........Actually I do it everyday!!!!! I can't think of anything I would like to eat rather than chocolate lol!!!! I haven't heard back about my glucose test so I am guessing that's a good sign?? No more bleeding thank goodness but I am taking it pretty easy, hubby is on house work duty, which is funny because he never did any house work before I got pregnant. I am a cleam freak so the poor guy has to work twice as hard as any normal person to keep up with my cleaning regime......It kills me to sit and look at dust and dishes, so I still do a little house work but no where near as much as before. Good luck with the kittens. Hope you are well.

Thanks for checking in on me. Doctor went well, he said I can no longer travel to work (I work 2 hours drive from my home) so I now work from home. Baby had good strong heart beat, he isn't really concerned. Said I had a lot of blood vessels on my cervix and the bleeding may have been from a burst blood vessel, nothing to do with the baby. So all good so far. I am doing my glucose test this morning, so wish me luck!!! How are you going??

Thanks so much for your comments, it put me at eaise to know someone else is going through the same things. I have an OB/GYN appointment next Tuesday and he said he is going to have a look at my cervix and see if there is anything wrong there. I have a great doctor so that helps. I hope you are well, stay in touch.
