I think in the case of Mother versus Stepmother....tell them to "Suck it up princess". That day is all about you and baby and really you shouldn't have to worry about it one way or the other. If they don't get along it's their loss. Let them both know that they will both be advised of the birth and that it is up to them how they wish to handle it. Then focus on you!!

Oooooh what stroller do you have?? I got the Graco Quattro Travel system - Deco style (you can view it on any Toys R Us website) I love it and the car seat lasts until 30lbs - although am I ever going to get an arm work out carrying it.

I am hoping for all the small stuff for my shower. It's all the little things I find that add up. Although my mother is insisting that after the shower she will take me out and buy me whatever else I need because I keep buying the big things that she was planning on getting and she's complaining that i'm not using the budget she set aside for buying Cole things. I just feel bad putting big financial burdens on anyone when I can swing it you know??

So Cole and I got to spend the day yesterday in labour and delivery. I was having some cramping so I went to the doctors and then I started to bleed. So I was sent to the specialist at the hospital. They monitored us and then gave us the all clear. I saw Cole again in the ultrasound and he's sooooo big!! Over 4 lbs!! Crazy - how the heck is he going to fit out???

What is it that you do for your job??

If we don't speak have a lovely long weekend and a safe drive to my end of the province ;)

LOL well I think it's safe to say that one outfit doesn't constitute as going crazy yet....You're doing well!! Just wait until you bring home the furniture next weekend....I think that just might be the switch that turns you on to shopping for baby BIG time!! I haven't went super crazy yet. I mean I have the nursery furniture and bedding and the mobile and now the wooden letters for his name....a few toys and a soother and about 6-7 little outfits....but no diapers or lotions or anything like that...i'm doing my best to remain reined in until after my shower so i'm not spending unneccesarily!!

I'm so happy to hear your baby is doing well and measuring healthy (I was going to say large.....but do we really wishthat on any woman??!?!) It must be such a huge relief for you!!

not to worry...those 2 people will never replace you!! They will be so happy to have you back after mat leave i'm sure!! It's great to ehar you love you job...i'm still up in the air with what i'm going to do after mat leave. I dont' think i'll be able to afford to work downtown still...with daycare adn then the added cost of go train far adn the fact that my base salary is squat (i make the majority of my money off commissions) I don't think i'll be able to afford to come back. I'm hoping to find myself a nice Account Manager position in the west GTA.

The tulip festical sounds like fun!! And probably gorgeous!! Did everyone enjoy it?? Me I had dinner with a couple of friends on Saturday night and then a family Mother's day dinner yesterday...it was definitely great times....althoguh I really can't wait for next weekend!! I'm headed to the states to do some baby shopping and i'm getting my maternity photos done!! woohoo!!

Hello!
Actually it was planned that I finish work this early because we were going to Australia to have our baby but because of delays with immigration etc. we will be staying in France. My boss had already found a replacement so I've finished one side of my job, fortunately though, I'll be able to continue doing another because I'm like you, I go nuts if I don't have enough to occupy me. Well I do have A LOT now, seeing we are staying, I have nothing organised or bought (all was organised for Aus). I have to laugh, if not you know the alternative!
How did your last ultrasound go? Is you baby measuring well? I had my last one a week ago and the dr isn't worried anymore because he's continuing, in his words, 'a logical path of growth' he's still smallish but nothing to get concerned about.
In the last 2-3 days though, I think he must have gone through a major growth spurt because I can feel him like never before. He wakes me up and startles me with the force of his kicks and movements. I'm still not used to as before it was just a little kick here or there, now I can see my tummy move!

Hey...just thought I would let you know that Tracy is okay....they're doing a fetal assessment on Tuesday to make sure she hasn't lost fluid. However baby was just sleeping today......

Hey...just wondering when you heard from TRacy? I tried calling her this afternoon and there was no answer. (Mind you she could just be out buying her living room furniture with her husband) The last I hear of her she messaged me at 10:30am this morning that she was going to the hospital cause she hadn't felt Chloe move in 24 hours. I'm a little worried but hopefully you've heard from her since??

Hi! I had a great weekend! Busy though. However I got the nursery all pu together and I picked up my bedding and everything. Still needs to be washed but I just HAD to put it out! It keeps shocking me when I walk past the room and I ahve a nursery LOL. Only the wall decals to paint and a shelf to put up along with the Window treatments....So close to being done....

I am going to Thyme by the end of this week. I only have 2 pairs of pants that fit. And they're pushing it! I want some nice light clothes now that the nice weather is here. So i'll cross my fingers that have more luck then you did.

My prenatal class was ok. It is weird being the only single one there. Everyone is with their husbands and this was a planned pregnancy. It was a little bit uncomfortable. My mother is coming with me next week, but I think that will still be weird. Aw well it's only for a couple of weeks.

How is your weekend going? When is it you're coming to get your nursery furniture?

Oh yeah for your nursery!! How is it looking?? I finally decided on a bedding so I can put the finishing touches on the nursery. It's the Lambs & Ivy Baby Picasso...Google it - you should have no trouble finsing it...What do you think??

I had my prenatal on Monday. Everything is fantastic..and for my most exciting and best news?? I only gained 1 lb in the past 4 weeks!! I'm soo excited and definitely going to keep up my walking!! I also did my GD testing. Is it bad to say I actually enjoyed the drink?? Orange Crush is one of my cravings sooo... However the sugar high and the crash that came after was not enjoyable!! I also dropped my registration off at the hospital so i'm official!! AND I found out I can book a tour of the facility. So I can't wait to do that closer to the date. Now i'm all about getting a cute little rolling suitcase so I can pack my Labour Bag....I figure better to be prepared then not....and i'm going to make it as comfy as possible for myself. Packing Juice Boxes and little non perishable snacks....along with nice comfy PJ's cause i'm not all about the Gowns......and LOTS of hair ties....or else someone might just have to give me scissors at the time!!

LOL well he's a man...he HAS to act like a pro....when you go into labour though it will be you probably holding HIS hand.....teehee

Hello! How's it going?
I'm into my last week of work and hooray for that!
I forgot to mention last time how cool it was that you and your bf met in Cuba. Were you both on holiday or there for business? Isn't life funny like that. I think just how much my life has changed from that one chance meeting in a bar in Paris.
I think going to Paris together would be great. Yes, a little different with a baby, but I think it's quite a children and family friendly city compared to others. If you wait until he/she is a bit older you can stay close to Le jardin du Luxembourg and have a great time.
I have to admit, I do think Seb's accent had something to do with my attaction to him! Actually just hearing him speak French was enough! I remember after we had just met and he came to visit me in London, I was driving, and I asked him to just recite the route I was taking eg. we just turned left and are now going straight up a small street etc.! It was very funny, and a bit sad on my part!!!

Yup, I am doing well also. I feel sad time to time because I'm not pregnant anymore and I feel I missed out on a lot...the whole last trimester...but all in all...I just pray everything turns out good, and my lil Analise comes home completely healthy. :o) Thanks for asking. Hey there!!

I hope you had a fantastic weekend!! We had such gorgeous weather!! I am so happy with the Ultrasound...it was absoutely amazing...now my little guy is more then just a black and white skull outline LOL. I can actually picture him in there!! He did a good job trying to hide but we got a couple of really great pictures!! My sister and mother and 2 of my closest friends came. IT was a really fun time!! Then we also got a recording of his heart that I built into a bear! IT's so cute too!! I have a DJ friend who wants to build the sound into his next set LOL - He thought it was beats before I told him it was actually Cole's heart!! It was an amazing, incredible experience that I am so glad that I decided to do.

The rest of my weekend was fantastic as well. I had my house warming party last night. IT was great to see everyone...but man was it ever tiring!! I think that's my last party until after Cole is born.....Can't take the late nights *yawn*
