Hi All Mommies,
I'm 31 and expecting our first baby on the 1st of June!!
My husband Warwick & I didnt really plan on having children (no particular reason), but always said, well if it happens we wont be sad!!. Well shock was what we were when I did the home preg test. I still couldnt believe it was true and kept going back to the test stick to stare at it, and eventually took a pic which I sent to my mom, to check if she also saw 2 blue lines. I didnt have many symptons (morning sickness etc), so it only really sunk in when I had my first u/s at 12 weeks (in South Africa you have a scan at every visit to gynae) and saw our little "bean" on the screen.
Well at 30 weeks now, it's sunk in and I'm excited to meet our daughter (how will she look?, will she take after her mom or dad, will she be stubborn like me etc. ha ha)

Hang in there... i'm sure u will hav a great delivery!
i'm recovering very well...bp still very high but hopefully it will go down soon. baby is gorgeous!
it is very hard work and very tiring - but u must remain calm and take note of ur baba's patterns etc...tht is helping us take care of our little isobel. she is a good baby except she likes to stay up for hours at her midnight feed...so now we're just going crazy trying to figure out how to get her to play during the day but the nurses etc say she will adjust soon...at the end of the day - just looking at tht beautiful creature makes all the moments of frsutration or tiredness worth it!

I'm so happy to hear that your baby turned! Talk about waiting until the last minute :) Sounds just like mine. I bet it is quite an adjustment, though, suddenly having to wait for things to happen after having "other plans." Did you have a c-section date scheduled yet? I wish you the best!!!

I was sick with a sinus infection a couple of weeks back and it was in my lungs some. I was on antibiotics but I had to wear pads for over a week for all the "squirting" I did when I coughed. I feel your pain. This time was weird, I just rolled out of bed and it was like a gush. But only pee. Can't let this happen every time I get out of bed. Ugh.

Hi there. my c-sect is set for May 19th... my hubby thinks i'm crazy but i dont like the date. not superstitious or anything, i just figured of it is going to be planned then at least we could get a nice bday for our baby!? :) whn r u scheduled for?

Hallo Anzel- been offline for a couple of days. my sis had to leave early cos my BP rocketed again and i will be booked into hospital if it goes up again. however, i had a good time with her and my nephew so the hospital visit was worthwhile. i wanted a normal delivery but forced to hav a c-sect now cos of my bp ... who knows - maybe if everything stabilises i will b allowed to do a normal birth????!!! did u always want 2 hav a normal delivery?

:) hey there! dont stress abt the birth, i'm sure ur body will work wonders for u! i still hav a tiny hope tht my doc may allow me to hav a normal delivery but since wed my BP has been rising again despite the meds so i will hav to see. going to lie on the couch all day today but looking fwd to the long weekend! :) my twin sister is coming up from dbn with my toddler nephew so it will be nice to hav company. enjoy!!
