My profile

I am 28 years old and this is my first pregnancy. I was not trying to conceive, so it was quite a surprise, but a welcome one at that! I love children and cannot wait to hold my beautiful baby in my arms. As a first time mom and a full time business consultant, I am nervous about juggling my new family with my career. Also, as someone raised by an awesome, stay at home mother I am also apprehensive about having to rely on day care four days a week. So far the pregnancy has been going well; little morning sickness and just fatigue. I am definitely starting to show a bit now in the belly, which my boyfriend loves and constantly pats and calls peanut!

Thanks we applied for unemployment today its just difficult knowing that i am going to be out of work also. DH says everything will be okay and I am sure it will. Good thing tax time is right around the corner to help out a little bit. I was very upset this morning but like I said he thinks we will be okay. It is good that he will be here to help me though b/c we have a 1 1/2 yr old and fixing to have a newborn and I take online classes that start tomarrow so it will be a big help having him home. Thanks.

So, I just got back from my weekly appointment. Everything is great with my baby girl, although every weekly appointment my blood pressure is getting worse and worse. ugh.
I've had to go get blood work twice in like 3 weeks so my doc can make sure everything is going ok with my body.. I've always had hbp but heck.. I just want it to go away already!!

I started talking to my doctor about how my girlfriend got her membrane stripped at 39.5 weeks and how I'm hoping I don't have to go futher that 42 weeks in my pregnancy,

So my doc says *well think about it and we could do it next week* I'm thinking gosh, Just like that..?
ha ha.. I mentioned to her that I want my baby to come on her own terms and I really don't want to get induced..

So we'll see. I'm only in the beginning of my 37th week, and I'm still able to do a lot of things. I'm a little uncomfortable but not enough to get induced. Maybe It's me finally getting a little nervous.. I dunno..

I hope everyone is doing great!! Mama's and Babies and those TTC~Baby dust to you!!!

Thanks for commenting, at least I'm not the only one suffering with the fluid in the ear, I have a lot of sinus congestion too. I know its all connected but MAN GO AWAY ALREADY!! lol Not to mention with the sinus its running down my throat and making it sore as well... it just seems to never end!

How have you been feeling?

Gorgeous! My 'turkey timer' didn't pop either... I was a little sad... You look so healthy and vibrant!

Saw your comment on a friend's profile about your big baby. Mine was a huge kiddo, and the dr.s kept trying to get me into induction (he's going to be big...) I went 12 days overdue, and was "induced" by my membranes rupturing. I kept telling myself that my body wouldn't grow a kid bigger than I could handle and KEPT faith in my body and its instincts. I watched a TON of natural and home births on youtube (sometimes for 4-5 hours at a stretch when I couldn't sleep) and felt truly empowered by this. After my water broke, I waited until my contractions were 3 mins apart and then went to the hospital. I had a pretty intense labor, but it was awesome. I pushed for quite a long time (5.5 hrs, due to a late-diagnosed anterior cervical lip) and went through TWO transitions. I wouldn't have changed a thing. And no, it wasn't one of those blissful, quiet births... grunting and yelling helped me vocalize (and vent) the pain. He also took about an hour after crowning to finally make his entrance (yes, I swore at the dr. several times when she kept telling me "next push, next push..." something about her being a f-ing liar...). But this slow crowning SAVED my bits and pieces- the area was so numb naturally that I couldn't even feel when the dr. put an ice cube directly on it (!!). I gave birth to a lovely, albeit a bit blue due to his size, healthy baby boy without any tears after 15 hours of labor, without any medication and no IV (loved those ice chips and sprite!). My boy was 10 lbs 7 oz... I am 5'4" and was 130 pre preg... Have faith in yourself, and do what your body tells you to. I'm pulling for ya... and push that "big" notion out of your mind. It'll only worry you! Keep saying, "My baby's SO healthy, and ready for an easy transition to the outside world." Nice thing about "healthy" kiddos is that you aren't anxious about them not taking to the breast (or bottle) immediately. Keep strong, mama!

Usually they won't let the baby (depends on hospital) wear clothes from home until it's time to leave..... You may want to call and ask though. As far as pads are concerned - take your own - or you'll be wearing humongous diapers.....Take what you like...
