Hello everyone my name is Ashley, I just had a beautiful baby girl on April 18, 2008. Her name is Jaiyda Nichole and she is just the joy of my life. My husband and I thank God for her everyday, She has truely been a blessing to us and our family. To all the expecting mothers-to-be out there congratulations! Check this out - I was reading the "baby development" section of this website for a 2 month baby and this is what it says girl. This just further lets me know that your doctor doesn't know wtf she's talking about. I've just copied/paste the paragraph below........
Your baby has probably settled into more of a predictable feeding pattern. Most babies will drink about 5-6 ounces of formula or breast milk every 3-4 hours. Avoid giving your baby a bottle in his crib and do not prop the bottle while you are feeding him.

aaawww thanks girl! Kammy has her 2 month appt on 6/30 and I am not ready girl! I know I will be more upset than she is girl! *just thinking about it makes me need to take a deep breath - come on, exhale with me - LOL* Let me ask you a question, are you sick of everybody telling you how tiny your baby is? At Robert's job, there are 3 other girls that have recently had babies and Kamryn was the last one so the age differences are like, 8 mon 4 mon 3 mon & Kam who's 7 weeks...ok, I think they've forgotten how it was to have a baby that young or what their baby looked like when he or she was 7 weeks. True enough, I know Kam was smaller than most babies at birth but it is soooo annoying girl! If I hear someone say, OMG, she is sooo tiny - she weighs nothing - I am gonna S-C-R-E-A-M!!!!!!!!

She is on the Similac Isomil Advance with Soy. Since she was coming off of that breastmilk, the regular milk-based formula was a little to strong for her little tummy. She's been taking the Soymilk with no problem. After she gets a little older, I'm going to swap her back to regular similac but right now, I'm just glad that she's rapidly gaining weight and able to keep that formula down. Its also night that papa can get up and help in the middle of the night now. Girl, she only wakes up 1 time so its soooo wonderful. The doctor says she considers her sleeping hours as sleeping through the night now because when I lay her down at 10:30 or 11pm at night, she doesn't wake up again until her 4:30 am feeding, go right back to sleep by 5am and then she doesn't wake up again until about 9:30 - 10am. I also started to add a little cereal to her milk so that really helps at nighttime. Oh, and I've started lying her on her belly at night to sleep and she sleeps sooo good girl. On another note, I have noticed that her stools are more stiff now since I've transitioned her to formula so the nurse advised me to add a little Karo syrup to her formula for a couple of feedings during the day and that's definitely helped to soften it up a little bit. So with all of that said, we are really doing good girl. She is definitely developing her own little personaliity...sweet, yet fiesty, just like mommy! (LOL) She makes me sooo happy - LOL!

Same girl! She is getting sooo big! I am sooo happy now that I'm done with this breastfeeding thing. Formula is sooo wonderful girl! So Jaiyda is done with her crying sprees now? i know you're happy about that girl. Any plans for you and the little one this weekend?

Zoe's doing good! She has a doc appointment today, so I'm up at the crack of dawn pumping some bottles. This will only be her second time out and about, and I have this fear that she'll get into the lobby and CUT UP!!!! So I pray that sticking a bottle in her little mouth will do the trick. *crossing fingers*
My appetite has left me! :( They say breast feeding burns x amount of calories per day, then on top of me not eating, I've been feeling like a limp noodle. *get your mind out the gutter!!!* I need to pick up some Ensure bottles or something before I pass out!

How did you manage to keep her away? I'll be breast feeding Zoe, and five minutes later I look down, and she's knocked out with my nipple still in her mouth!! Its like she won't stay up for the WORLD...she's been sleep for the past 3 hours, so I can only imagine what its going to be like tonight...plus I'm super sleepy already...*sigh*
Did Jaiyda always sleep thru the night or did it come with age? I need some sleeping remedies...help me...help me please!

Zoe is quiet UNLESS she's hungry, being changed, or having a wipe down/sponge bath *she SCREAMS like the water is eating through her skin...I feel so bad!*.
She sleeps all day, but as soon as night comes, she's up and ready to party. You know how ppl say try to get your sleep when the baby sleeps? Well unfortunately I'm one of those people who CAN'T sleep during the day, so I'm on straight zombie-mode...
KAMS MOM LEFT TODAY!!! I had to Febreze my whole apartment...she had it smelling like old woman perfume and breath. :(

Hey Lady,
The movie was pretty good but I really missed Kamryn that I couldn't really concentrate.. I tried to make the best out of it though. Plus, I like the girl that I went with but we really don't have that much in common so I really didn't enjoy myself like I wanted to. Boy, its sooo hard to find good girlfriends - LOL! I thought the movie was really good though. Only bad part was it was kind of predictable. I thought Jennifer Hudson did a good job in her role. So what'd you do yesterday?

7 hours - WOW! Is that what we have to look forward to at 2 months - YAYYYY!!!!!!!!!! She is quiet for the most part but she gets really fussy in the evening time girl...Overall, she is a good baby! I'm going to see Sex & The City tonight and I've never been sooo happy to go to the movies - LOL! I'm sure its not just about the movie, more about having some free time to myself....Any big plans for the weekend for you?
