Hello everyone! My name is Ashley, I am a Air Force spouse. We are stationed at Elmendorf AFB, Alaska! Not my favorite place! I am orginally from Oregon. Me and my husband have been married for 2 years together for 3. Excited for our first child, we think it is smart to have a first child in the air force because of all the support and as well as financial support if there is ever anything wrong with our child. So I had my first time mothers orientation yesterday, i was actually pissed off because like all the women in there already had kids! I had no one to relate to and all of them were army (which isnt a bad thing) but harder to relate too! I felt out of place in a Air force hospital! Very interesting for me to feel! But yes! I had another pee test and got my prenatals. It made me feel pregnant to have the orientation but I assume my first appointment with the doctor will make me feel pregnant!

So last night was one of the very first morning sicknesses that i got! I felt it coming but denied it from all the nausea i was having previously, i had an icee before i threw up which made the after taste alot better! But i puked so hard that my nose bled which i was expecting but i assume that everything is okay! I just hope i didnt open a flood gate to morning sickness now! But now i think i have a sinus infection cause my face and my nose is clogged feeling!

So I just start realizing that i sneeze ALOT, ezpecially at work! Probably cause i work in an old building and with all guys!lol Im really getting tired too! I think i came into work twice this week late cause i was so tired and wanted just another hour to sleep! Good thing my boss doesnt come in til 9!lol I dont know how im able to juggle school, work and a husband but so far i seem to be doing pretty well. Oh and im craving french fries alot! and Ice cream so i hope once this 1 trimester goes away i can start eating better.

So Im starting to feel trapped now that im feeling a little more pregnant and my first doctor appt is on monday. I dont know why i feel this way maybe cause im a very independent person and im afraid that my husband will turn into a douche bag once the baby comes or treats me horribly and i will want to leave him, which will be harder with a baby on my side. But I guess im starting to feel tied down now, which is crazy cause i have been married for like almost two years! So i hope some of you are feeling that way or have cause thats how im feeling!

SO! Yesterday I had my first ob gyn appt! It was wonderful! The doctor says im very healthy and so is the baby! I actually lost four pounds! We have one strong little baby! Its heartbeat was 180 bm and is only 2 cm! Brett was really sad that were not having twins! As im the happiest person now that we know there our no twins! So everything is going great! Im very relieved, and i see the doctor when im almost 12 weeks! Which is really soon and im excited! And i have a tilted uterus and it goes all the way back to my spine! She says its normal but i think that is just crazy!

14 Weeks!!! 2nd Trimester

YAY! 14 weeks never thought that would happen and im excited! So happy to be out of first trimester! I am fortunate not have puked all the time! Only once a week! The other day i puked when i was brushing my teeth! My husband jumped out of the bathroom so quick! I thought it was kinda funny! Like the day i was exactly 14 weeks i had some much energy and i still do! I dont need to sleep alot either! Like i go to bed at 9 and get up at 6 for work and surprisingly im not trying to sleep in later! Ya for 2nd trimester! I feel better! Now i will start doing yoga! And i was having really bad headaches and i hope they dont come back! Oh and for all those who havent seen Made of Honor its an adorable movie!! Oh and for all you lucky people i have to wait to find out the sex at 20 weeks! So 6 weeks to go! Tear! Oh and i have my 16 week down syndrome appt on May 20th!

16 weeks 4days

So today i had my 16 week appt with the ob gyn, thankfully it wasnt a group appt wasnt in the mood for that! And it went by really fast i was in and out for the very first time! I had blood work to get done and schedule my twenty week appt to hopefully see what we are having sadly i dont get to find out right away cause they were really booked but i find out like a little over a week after! Darn it! Oh well im patient! So today i had my glucose test and my down syndrome and spinal bifida blood work done. I had this kind of like sprite drink that i had to suck down in like 5 mins it was about the size of a pop can and ya it was hard but i sucked it down in like 2 mins, and it surely gave me gas in both holes!haha So then I had to sit for an hour they didnt want me getting up and walking around cause it burns off the sugar. Ugh it sucked a bit but its okay time went by fast and i know alot of people at the hospital so i got to chit chat with them. I start summer semester of school tonight, math! very scared but excited to hopefully understand math this time around! Yay almost 17 weeks havent really felt much yet but i know i will soon.

20 Weeks FINALLY!!!!!

So twenty weeks today! YAY Good to know half way there and that im still healthy and 2nd trimester is way better than 1st! I did puke a little this morning from brushing my teeth! Wasnt to happy about that but it happens thankfully not alot! I hope that everyone is just relieved as i am about being 20 weeks! Im sad thou im like the only one who doesnt know what im having! Most of you guys are having little girls! YAY Maybe that will give me a chance to have a boy!lol I really dont care cause either way i get my child thats all that matters! Well congrats to everyone who has made the twenty mark! I still havent felt a distinct kick just a bunch of somersaults and pressure on my ovaries or some part of my stomach! Cant wait for the real power kick to come! I find out on the 24th of this month what we are having so i will let you all know!! I have three little stretch marks which is depressing cause i lube up everyday with all different stuff, but it is hereditary so i guess i cant fight the genes! How sad! :( Anyways!!!! YAY to another 20 more weeks!

18 June 20 weeks 5 days

I finally felt a kick! It was wonderful! I was leaning back in my work chair and i got a thump in my midsection and i jumped!lol and i just knew the baby kicked me! It was wonderful! And now ever since that lovely kick i feel it kick me all the time! I just wish it was strong enough for my husband to feel, but that will come soon! Just glad i felt it earlier than i thought i would! So YAY!

24 June, 21 weeks 4 days

We are having a baby girl~ Im very shocked and happy! A little scared but i will get prepared for a lil girl! Wow still mind blowing! Congrats to eveyone else finding out what they had! We already have her name picked out its Jori Orianna Yokota! Its very cute for a little girl and pretty for a woman! Hope you guys like it too! Anyways any advice on girls anyone? I already know how to take care of boys!lol

July 1st, 22 weeks 4days

So I have been feeling little Jori alot more she is just a crazy little person kick all the time and letting herself be heard! So I had my 22 week appt on friday and they told me i had to do the glucose test AGAIN! Thank GOD im prepared this time and know what to expect, they want me as well to get my admittance packet and fill that out while i have to sit for an hour with that nasty sprite stuff again! Its all good i have no problem doing it again! So i have my 28 weeks appt in August and im going home on the 1st of August til the 15th and my appt is that 7th so i need to change that. And i have to take the test early probably before i leave so i will have to do it on the 31st of july! Ya busy me!lol Im starting to realize how close im getting to being done with pregnancy!! Its scary and exciting! I have my fetal imaging appt in August, and my childbirthing classes AND school! Dont know how im going to do that!

July 29th, 26 weeks 4days

YAY! Almost 3rd trimester and 7 month! Getting a little scared how close its getting! Im flying home this friday and cant wait to see my family and everyone back home! I have been uber busy lately with work and school. I think Jori is getting big cause now i think she sticks out on my tummy and it kind of feels awkward and a little sharp feeling. Sometimes i have to push her back cause its just weird feeling to me. Im still in my prepregnancy clothes but im probably starting to stretch them to thin and hopefully dont rip anything. I moved offices last week as well and turned 21!!!! And my new roommate at work is wonderful he cracks me up and makes the day go by really fast. i can tell my belly button is wanting to come out but hasnt gotten there fully. Anyways nothing special other than that! Did the glucose test and pre admission packet and im squared away for everything just got to go to all my doctor appts. Kind of going through depression too, i dont feel pregnant i feel fat, which is probably really dumb to feel that way but i do and i cant help it! But i think going home will cheer me up! YAY finally get to have some olive garden and reb lobster again! SCORE! Hope everyone else is feeling great!

August 19th, 29 weeks 5 days

So Im back from my vacation! I think I need to take more vacation because time goes by soo fast when you do!! So I had my 28 week appt yesterday cause i couldnt make the appt while gone, my glucose test came back good so YAY no diabetes! I found out im close to being amnemic so i need to keep eating red meats and stuff! Blah! And i gained 17 lbs within a 6 week period which scared me cause i know i gained most of it while gone! I ate really bad and didnt do any exercise, and i wasnt on a schedule like i am when im home. So darn Jack in the box and olive garden got to me! Which is okay cause i asked the doctor if that was normal and she saids its okay cause im tall and my blood pressure was good, im measuring at 31 weeks, so now im going to just keep eating my healthy foods and hopefully sustain at this weight and meaursment and keep it like that. My doctor said if i lose weight thats okay too cause my diet will be changing since im back. Oh and i didnt swell up when i flew, so i guess it depends on person. Oh and i watched "the business of being born" by ricki lake, very good documentary about labor and delivery. Now i want to have my labor in a tub, cause thats all the air force offers and pays for! We cant give birth in the house which is okay as long as i get that tub while in labor!! Hope everyone is feeling great!

September 20th 34wks 1day

So Im very much ready to have my little girl even thou i havent even hit the 37 wk mark of being full term, im just getting really emotional and sick of being pregnant for so long! Im on the verge of murdering my husband cause he can go out and have fun and party while i have to be the designated driver! I dont get to have that one last hoorah before she comes and that really sucks. My sex life is horrible and very much non existent since i feel like a cow and having stretch marks isnt flattering and i cant take advantage of the situation cause im insecure right now which i dont like! We cant have any good last of freedom cause of my insecurities and cause i really resent him right now. He wont even try and be a husband i hate men sometimes! Anyways my mother inlaw will be here in about a month and i have decided to take work off when im about to be 37 weeks cause anything could happen and i dont want to be in labor at work. So i think its wise to leave when im full term i will be working from home so i wont feel so out of touch with the real world! My baby shower is next saturday which im very excited for and anxious to see what people get me. I am really good about getting people things but for some reason i never get that back from others so i wont get my hopes up. Im very fortunate to have my good friend Lindsey doing my shower she has been a sport with all my random requests! Anyways congrats to everyone getting close as well!!! I hope i dont murder my husband before our daugther is born!haha Oh and another thing im such an awesome wife that im flying my husband down to Seattle to see Metallica and AC/DC with one of his good friends for his 23rd birthday!!! Which is the end of Novemeber so our daughter wont even be that old! but yes what did i get for my 21st???? A stupid wii game that i never play and really sucks! Yep hate that i put that much effort into someone who doesnt put it back to me!
