Hello Mommies & Fellow Moms-to-Be!

This is our first baby and we are so thrilled and excited! I am joining this site at 8 weeks, and so far am blessed with very minimal nausea, lots of support from family, and I'm just having a blast. Being pregnant has been great so far (knock on wood!)

The best advice (from Mom of course) that I have actually taken to heart is to listen to my body (so simple but never made real sense until now). This is the best time to get to know yourself and truly listen to it, and I have done just that. I eat when I want and what I want (with baby in mind) and I have yet to gain a pound, but I'm excited to get showing already! I really want to get out the just "bloated" look and into real baby bump. I sleep when I want (well, at least when I can) which is the greatest, and no one can say I'm being lazy... haha! I feel more in tuned with myself than ever before...

I am excited to cherish every moment, even if it is cramping and gassiness and back pain. And I especially hope to talk and meet other moms experiencing the same things.

PLEASE READ MY BLOGS for any updates, I hope they can be helpful or are at least be relatable to some moms-to-be :)

Ha ha..Big white lumpy sausage? Ha ha. You look so cute. They changed my due date back to November 3rd so we will see if I stay at that due date. I figure my due date will be sometime between the 3rd and the 10th. Im going with the 3rd for now. I hope your doing well.

Ohhhhh!!! Very nice! I love the contemporary look of it and I think it would make a very nice transitional piece. My plan was to go looking at a few stores today, but I have been cleaning all day ):
I have been looking a lot on the internet, but a nice middle price point crib is hard to find. They are either $299 or $1000.. hardly anything in between. There is a JC Penney outlet about 30 minutes from my house and everyone keeps telling me to check it out since I am only looking for the crib.. I guess they have some really great deals. I looked at their items on the internet and they seem to be pretty good quality so hopefully I can go there tomorrow.
I will let you know how my search goes...

Ha any weight! 10 lbs!!! I think it is all in my ass LOL.. The "belly band" I bought was still almost $20 with shipping and it was seriously nothing more than a cheap cotton tube top! Needless to say I like my solution the best so far.

Thats great! I have been feeling great too! Except for the gas and tiredness at the end of the day. No, I haven't had an ultrasound yet. I only get one at 18-20 weeks. Unless there is a problem. I haven't even seen the doctor. I saw the RN and the NP. I see my Dr. on tuesday. Glad you love being pregnant! Me too!!

I just realized that I had so much typos, sorry about that I've been having allergies and my eyes are tearing up. Well about my pregnancy I have so scared like about evrything, my whole family really wants a girl and so does my boyfriend. I bet what evr you have it'll be beautiful. I saw the picture of your stomach and i'm only 6 weeks but i'm seriously bigger than you I'm really BLOATED:( some nausea, tiredness, extreme hunger and i get really sleep fast. how about you?? i bet the symptoms aren't there anymore since that you are 15 weeks preggers:)

I love my leggings.. I wear them as often as possible. I have also sort of made my own belly band for my pants since the ones I ordered were so poorly made! I took bandeau style bras that I had from Express and use those instead and they work great!
For cribs I think that $500-800 is probably what I will spend. I think I can get everything that I want for that price. I do want to see it in person though because material is extremely important to me. I like the ones at Pottery Barn Kids. I haven't looked at strollers really but my number 1 will be weight. I need something light to get in and out of the car. I have to agree with you on price. I will spend more for better quality. My sister in law made that mistake with her double stroller... still spent $350... and it is impossible to roll! I like the Peg Pereggo brand the best so far (they have complete
travel systems)
I feel like my bump gets bigger and smaller everyday.. some days I feel like I don't have it at all. My butt seems to just keep getting bigger though!! LOL!!

My husband's grandmother's name was Lena.. a little too old fashioned for me. So I modernized it by putting an A in front. We have really struggled with names. It seems like they are all too plain or too ethnic (neither of which would be a good representation of the baby) We will though try to nail something down before the baby is born. You could always go with a really unique middle name too.. that way if they ever become famous they could use that name... ha ha!!

I found one that I really liked but when I did more research I found out it was made of pine (the softest wood out there)so it will easily get ruined. If I see anything I will let you know! Isn't it fun? I love shopping. Today I went to build a bear at the mall. I want to make the baby a bear with a wish inside. What do you think of the name Alena Jewel?

thanks for the advice. i will try the prune juice. i havent tasted prunes since i was a kid. but just thought i would say that my mom lives in calgary too. she works for federated ins. if you know where that is. thanks for the advice again.
