July 13, 2007...

It's my first, and the baby was a suprise! We weren't going to have children for another year, but everything happens for a reason! His family is so excited, my family isn't involved. They don't like Luke, and don't want me to marry him- long, loaded story, but they seem to forget one fact- that I'm very happy and so much in love with him. I haven't told them that we're having a baby yet, even though my mom has been waiting to be a "nana" forever! She's got 2 cats and a little yorkie to compensate for it. I think we'll tell them after we get married, which is on July 21st! I'm praying on the right way and the right time to tell them.

We've already thought of names- if its a boy, we're him naming after his dad- Luke Emery. And we are NOT calling him Junior! haha. If its a girl, I love the name Ava, and then her middle name would be Lee (her late grandfathers middle name; Luke's dad died last year of pancreatic cancer). Ava Lee...has such a cute ring to it. Luke likes the name Aubrey but I knew a girl named Aubrey in high school and I didn't like her! Weird how you associate names with people. :)

I have already had my OB "education" check up. I guess that's what you could call it. We are going in for our next appointment on July 17th- we get to hear the heartbeat. I really want to SEE the baby but that won't happen until our appointment in August.

July 16, 2007- New tummy picture...me at 10 weeks!

July 17,2007- We heard the heartbeat at our appointment this morning! It's the most beautiful sound I think I've ever heard. The smile on Luke's face almost made me cry! I am on cloud 9 today!

July 17, 2007- Well my mom and dad know now. One of my best friends (sworn to secrecy) told my sister. So that cats out of the bag. Have to say I am relieved though. Its alot to soak in for my parents but once they get over the shock factor, they will be thrilled. :) Peace out!

July 27th, 2007- So I'm in the 12 week club! My dress pants that I could wear a few months ago are really uncomfortable now. I can get away with it but it's not fun! I'm a new big fan of fun flirty dresses! I'm def. losing my waist, starting to look a little square!

August 21,2007- So 15.5 weeks and showing! I have a bump now and I love it! It literally came over night. It just popped out one day. The only things I'm not loving at the moment are my headaches that I have just about every day all day AND my skin is itchy, usually at night. It's my legs and of course my breasts, b/c of the skin stretching. Still no big appetite or weird cravings. I haven't felt any movement yet, the doctor said I might because I'm small. Or maybe I have and I just don't know it! I can't wait to feel the baby!

We find out on September 18th if the baby is a boy or a girl! I think in my heart I want a girl, because it's all I dream about. And every time I think about our baby, I picture a girl. But I won't be disappointed if it's a boy. I'm just excited! I manage a Children's Boutique so it's easy to day dream in there!

October 5, 2007- So..we found out two weeks ago...it's a boy! Gosh I'm so excited! I think even more so than when I thought I was having a girl. His name is Luke Emery, after his dad and we're calling him Emery. I have felt him move, almost every night! I have an anterior placenta which basically means that it's in the front, so it's like a pillow between me feeling the baby.. But I still feel him! It's just when I'm not moving. He's chillin' breech and he has been for the past two weeks. But of course he has plenty of time to turn. :)

November 12, 2007- Well I've been feeling great! But I have been so emotional lately, it's unbelieveable. I mean I cry at everything. My poor husband...I'm sure I'm make him so helpless all the time.

An update on my family...things have improved drastically! Luke and my parents have had conversations, we're all healing and getting close again AND my mom had a baby shower for me this past weekend. It was so great. Luke and I are also spending Thanksgiving with them. :) Praise the Lord!

And our baby name has changed...no more Jr. Not sure whether we are going to name our baby Tristan or Aiden. But we're close to a conclusion! I'm feeling him almost all the time and his movements are getting harder, which can only mean he's getting bigger!!! Yippee!!

We got all of the nursery furniture last week and we have the bedding. I put together the changing table and I'm exhausted! Ha ha. :) I can't wait to get it all ready!

December 18, 2007: 32 weeks now!! I can't believe it. I've been so busy I haven't even had time to upload belly pictures. We've decided on Aiden Lee for his name. I feel him all the time and my belly looks like a big basketball! I still feel great and I've gained 20 pounds thus far. Not too bad at all!!!
