I took my last birth control pill, May 10th (after 15 years of never missing a beat)........I am ATTEMPTING to learn about this ovulation thing. I got a basal thermometer the other day & I took my temp for the first time this morning so hopefully I will have an understanding of it by July....when we kick it into high gear & try the Shettle's method of conceiving a boy. If I can pull that one off....I will win a prize!

Today I had my first Dr.'s appointment with my new OB/GYN. He was really great. He told me that I'm not too oldI'm doing the right things as far as my eating habits & vitamins, we should wait at least 3 months before we ACTIVELY start trying, since I've been on the pill so long & he is sending me to a genetic counselor for my other fears. So far so good:)

"I'm late...I'm late...for a very important date" (a little Alice in Wonderland moment) Well, at least I was up until this morning. My cycle should have started 2 weeks ago but it was a no show. My boyfriend realized I was late last week & kept telling me to take a test. I kept trying to explain to him that it was normal to be late after stopping the pill. Last nite I started cramping like the world was coming to an end & WALA...here it is. I'm a little disappointed, but more relieved that I am ovulating!I seriously doubt that we will be able to hold out until August. I know that its recommended, but I'm ready to get this party startedEspecially after holding my BEAUTIFUL newborn niece this weekend......LOL!

Hey...just wanted to give an update. Our 2 year Anniversary was more perfect than I could ever imagine! Papa Bear was so incredible...I had the most ridiculous grin on my face the whole day ...LOL Our anniversary day was also the day I was ovulating, but as of this morning...no baby. But its all good....that just means we get to practice more .....I'll keep everyone posted.

Hello Ladies...here's the latest. Still not pregnant. I hoped that this would be my month, but not yet. Two of my best friends are pregnant and I am so excited for them. One of them called me & asked was I pregnant cuz she's been praying for me, but it backfired....SO HILARIOUS! I'm still hopeful & still practicing

Well ladies, it has finally happened! That is literally how I have felt since I found out. I'm kind of late updating my page, cuz we actually found out 3 weeks ago today. But I wanted to wait until I went to dr. and got the official word. My first appointment was this past Monday. I'm 7 weeks & I'm due May 21st. Which is perfect cuz my boyfriend soooo wants a Gemini baby. I hope I make it to that date. I'm so excited about this new chapter in my life. I am loving every minute of it. Except for the emotional rollercoaster part. But I know it comes with the territory. I just want to say to those of you that are still trying to conceive....be patient, your time will come:) To everybody that sent me all that wonderful baby dust...
