Tuesday, 22 April I would call your doctor about seeing the black dots, because that was a sign of preeclampsia. I had it with my son and that was one of the things I had to look out for.... jannine87 -

Saturday, 19 April Hello,
What the do is numb you with a local anesthetic like lidocaine, which is the worst part. After that they insert a needle with the cathether and you only should feel pressure NOT pain. Then the take the needle out and the only thing remaining in your back is a small plastic catheter about the size of a pin head. It is really small. Then they tape it all down and you are good to go. I think it is worth the small amount of pain the numbing medicine causes. Usually, in my experience, women are in so much pain from the labor that the epidural thing is nothing to them. Good luck to you. You will know what you want to do when you get to that point. Trust me:) I got to 6 cm dilated and threw in the towel once I started swearing! Ms.Crystal -
Friday, 18 April Yes!! The leg cramps are very normal. My first experience was at 24 weeks. I went to a concert and wore high heels and later that night I paid for it! I woke up at about 4 am with leg cramps in both of my legs. I mean from my thighs all the way to my feet!! That was the worst!! Now I experience them at least 2 or 3 times a week and its usually just in one leg when I stretch or something. The way to get rid of them is pulling your toes back for a few seconds and you'll feel the cramp easing up. My friend told me this and it works everytime! Good luck! I know they are a pain. daisymum2be -

Friday, 11 April Omg! Yes! I had to leave the test, it was awful and my poor arms were killing me! So I had to finish mine by going once a week to my Drs office and fasting after MN, then just a couple finger pokes and done! I found that way better than having my blood drawn 5x's! Anyway it all worked out fine!! Take care! sexymama021 -
Friday, 11 April I felt HORRIBLE after drinking that drink :( I felt weak and tired the entire day...and even though I was starving from not eating, I couldn't eat much when I tried. How frusterating. Just take it easy today. Hope you pass :) daisymum2be -

Thursday, 10 April Baby group was good! Was supposed to go to a breastfeeding support group today (where mums and newborn babies meet up and breastfeed together... ?... lol,) but charlie didnt sleep well last night so i was too tired. I'll go next week. At the baby group we just sat around chattin about babies - charlie was the youngest obviously, the youngest other than him was 5 months old (who's mum is the girlfriend of one of jonny's good mates at his work - we're gunna go to another baby group on wednesdays and fridays) plus there's an under 25 mums group on thursday afternoons... so i'm fully booked, pretty much. they dont start tiul next week. it's exciting getting into a weekly routine - always having things to go out and do for the week.
Sounds like a fun game but i wont comment on it... ;)
How is alexa? charlie says he's excited that his mummy-in-law is already 30wks (wow!!!) cos that means not long til he gets to see his girlfriend! (currently he's also saying, "ARRRRGGHH mummy! Gimme yer boob!!") Had a checkup recently? what's she measuring? x x daisymum2be -

Friday, 4 April aww - i missed u by 13 mins!
havent spoken in a whiley - how are things? cant believe you're 29 weeks already! still going fast for you?
Charlie's sucking on a dummy sideways, lol. he keeps playing with it with his hands too, then wondering why it keeps falling out...
I'm having to not feed him for a few hours to try and get him in the routine of eating lots, then sleeping lots cos at the mo he's feeding far too often and just using me as a dummy. He's a right mummy's boy, he is.
I'll have to get some cabbage...
Anyway, everything going ok? How's you-know-who treatin ya?
Any news? Alexa nice n healthy? (kissy kissy) x x thebigtomato -
Friday, 4 April I failed the three hour test. At that point I was diagnosed with GD. They sent me to a class with a nurse and a dietitian that tought me how to test my sugar and how to monitor my carb intake. I have to test my sugar 4 times a day (TOTALLY painless) and watch what I eat. It is not nearly as bad as I thought it would be. I hope this helps. kammilea -
Friday, 4 April hi! i failed my 1st glucose toest also! i passed my second! the 3 hr one sucks because you have to fast! good luck:) simpers17 -
Thursday, 3 April My levels on the 1 hr glucose test was 170 and the cut off was 130. But when I took the 3hr glucose test I passed w/ flying colors. I was way below their cutoff standards. The first test I was really stressed and irritated from seeing my doctor right before. My midwife said sometimes stress will cause your body to release sugar levels and that will cause your blood level to rise which is what I'm thinking happend w/ the first test. Just make sure you eat very healthy a few days before. No sugar and try eating lots of veggies & chicken. That's what I did. Plus I brought my headphones and a book to read so it kept me really calm. Good luck!
