My husband and I have been together for 5 years. We finally got married Feb 29, 2008. We just bought a house and are now looking forward to starting a family.

This will be our second pregnancy, as we lost our first child at 6 months on Feb 3 2007 of heart complications.

We would like to hide the pregnancy from everyone as long as possible, I think this is because we are still jaded by our first experience. It really hurt our families when we lost the first baby, so we want to keep the second one to ourselves as long as we can.

We have officially begun trying. I had my doctors appointment on May 29. The doctor said I can start trying right away,I have been taking pre-nate vitamins for quite a few months now and because of the type of bc I was on (Nuvo Ring! The best ever!) I don't need to wait the typical 3 months like the woman who take oral bc. My husband and I are so excited! We are hoping it won't take long! *fingers crossed*

2008 June 18

Well I have been off of my birthcontrol for a month now, and I am not sure when AF is suppose to be coming (as it is natural now). If I go by when I was on birthcontrol I should be getting AF tomorrow. So yesterday I took a test (one of the 5 days before your AF tests) and it was negative. I am hoping it is wrong, but it is hard to argue with the facts. I know it has only been one month but my doctor told me that I should conceive in the next 2-3 months because of the birthcontrol I was using and my age, weight, health, etc. So I am super anxious. Wish me luck!

2008 June 25

Well I am not pregnant :(
It was a bit of a long shot for it being my first month. Mike was a little disappointed. I was 5 days later than normal, so our hopes were high. However, we are not discouraged! I was a little excited that I got to have one more pop! (Sorry, Jen... don't get mad)
My parents are now aware of us trying. It became obvious one weekend when I refused to have a sip of my mom's new alcoholic beverage. It makes it much easier and exciting when family are in on it too. They are so supportive and excited.
Here's to another month of trying...

2008 Aug 25

Well I was suppose to get AF on Saturday. It is now Monday and still no signs. I am super excited. My husband had bet already that I was pregnant because I was super moody this month. I think at one point I debated smothering him to dealth in his sleep. So I took a test this morning on my break at 9:30 and it was negative. However, I was reading online afterwards and it said you should test a week after a missed period because it takes a while for the hormones to register. And it said that if you drink alot of fluid before the test (which I did) you dilute your urine and get a negative. I hope that is the case because I would have bet my paycheck I was pregnant. Has anyone else had this happen? How long between a missed period and a positive test?

Well AF showed up! :(
I am so bummed out... I hate that I have to wait all month, hoping and praying... just to get AF, and have to start all over again. My husband tells me that practicing isn't so bad... he really tries to make me laugh when AF comes around. But is sucks. The worst part is that slowly everyone is starting to find out that we are trying... so every month it is a bumbardment of "so.. are you?" Which makes it worst having to tell everyone.
Ok.. enough of the depressed talk... I know it doesn't help TTC if I'm all stressed.

2008 Oct 08

My girlfriend NarNar (who is a member on here) just had her baby last week. They named her Evalee and she is so cute! I have only seen pictures but you can tell she is going to be such a sweetheart. It made me a little sad that this is our 5th month and still nothing. It has become easier now that it has been so long. I am not as anxious every month, and NarNar will be happy to know I am no longer spending a forune on tests every month. I think I will wait another two months before I go to the doctor. She told me the last time I was there in May that if we are not pregnant by fall I should come back. I am a little nervous going back, I don't want to get any bad news. I knew it was going to be hard to get pregnant again because my uterus is tilted. But we are still having fun trying. Good luck to everyone this month!
