___________________________________________________________________________________________

Today I am approxiametly 14 Weeks 5 Days into my pregnancy. I havent suffered any morning sickness, but have been having very bad headaches. My next appointment is next week Thursday, almost a week away and I cant wait!

I heard from the Doc that its possible to see the gender at 16 weeks & next week I will be 15 Weeks 4 Days so hopefully he might be able to see something, otherwise I'll wait until the 20 week scan - We are hoping for a little boy (actually my husband is) - and I think the blessing is a male as I seem to be carrying all the weight in my bottom.

Well, I might go home early from work today, as my head is pounding.

So far everything is O.K and I am enjoying my growing Tummy. Its so beautiful - Cant wait till its BIG and VERY ROUND!

Week 15 - Day: 1 ( 07 April 2008 )

I am so excited to be in week 15 - its so amazing. I dont have many complaints except that i am still reasonably tired & wish i could go on maternity Leave now already. My next Doctor's appointment is on Thursday and I am realy hoping we will find out the sex.

Its so difficult buying unisexual items that are cute. Cant wait.

I realized today just how much this baby has changed my life so far - I gave up smoking and I stay away from alchohole. As this pregnancy continues I seem to change more and more. And for the positive.

To the blessing in my bellie: 'Thank you, I love you & I know I will continue becoming a better person because of you. You deserve only the best. Mwa

09 April 2008

I'm having trouble deciding on whether I want to find out the sex of the baby or not. First we decided it would stay a surprize till the day the baby is born, and then we decided we will find out and now I DONT KNOW ANYMORE. It's so fustrating.

I have a Doctors appointment tomorrow, And we might be able to find out the sex, so I have until tomorrow to make up my mind. Its very confusing decision to make.

Week 15 - Day: 5 (11 April 2008)

Went to Gynea yesterday - all is good. Little Blessing has grown so much. Heart beat of 152 bpm. Didnt find out if its a he/she. Baby wasnt lying right - so have another 4 weeks to decide on whether we want to know the sex or not. Still havent come to a conclusion.

_______________________________________________________________________________________

Week 16 - Day: 3 (16 April 2008)

Today is actually a really good day for me. I'm feeling full of energy and all is well. I was VERY moody last week, and a friend's boyfriend (Moonyeen & Johnny) recommended that I take something herbal perhaps to calm me down as my moods could negatively affect the baby, and was defintely considering it. But the Elsabe suggested that I play very calm, classical music at work and it has made the world of difference. I also play Hillsings and spiritually it has also been helpful. So hopefully this is the end of those horrible moods. LOL.

As far as my baby bump goes, there isnt realy anything there, although I can feel it getting harder. My jeans dont fit anymore, so have bought some maternity wear, but still needs bra's - asap. I suppose it will be round at about 20 weeks. Then it will be noticable, at the moment I still look very over wieght and mal-nutritioned. LOL.

Week 17 - Day: 6 (26 April 2008)

Oh me Gosh - Does Time fly by quick or what? I cant believe I'm almost finished with week 17. Its been like a flash of light. This week was good. Still very tired but alot more energy at work. Got alot done. Well we have finally decided that we are not finding out and I hope we stick too it. I just think its something worth trying. Once we know what it is - whats the excitement in that? So anyway, having a braai (bbq) this afternoon, so hope that turns out good seeing as though I cant have even a glass of wine =( Luckily I know its worth the wait! LOL.

Well, off to do my college project. Hope I finish it today.

_________________________________________________________________________________________

Week 18 - Day: 3 (30 April 2008)

This week is going by faster than any other week. And I wont be returning to the site until week 19 - WOW! Its Hubby's birthday tomorrow and we will be camping until Monday. So exciting. Must say, I am a little sad though. Havent felt baby move and next appoinment isnt until 15 May. Hoping to feel some movement soon. Wonder if I'll have the guts to go swimming with my big bellie LOL. Otherwise nothing very different. Feeling pretty normal except for the backache - sometimes I can hardly walk - its that bad, and not feeling movement yet - everything is a.o.k.

___________________________________________________________________________________________

Week 20 - Day: 5 (16 May 2008)

So I've been feeling a little bit drowsey and light-headed the last couple of days - but so far so good. I cant believe week 19 went by so quick - so quick that i didnt even get time to make a note. Well in week 19 everything was good - except for a few realy bad stomach pains which have gone away now.

So mom told me everyone would love it if we found out the sex - so that they can start buying things - and Deon & I decided well, then so be it. My had an appointment at the Doc yesterday and we werent even busy for 10secs with the ultra sound and he says - 'Mag ek maar sê?' - so Deon and i said yes and he is like 'Dit is 'n Dogterjie'.

We were absolutely blown away as i was 100% sure it was a boy. All the old wives tales - a load of bull. I have big bums, craved sour sweets, been getting headaches - and well its a girl - not a boy. LOL.

Just before we left the Doc said 'Ek is nie 98% seker dit is 'n dogterjie nie' ..... And i was like so there is still a chance for a boy, and then he said 'Ek is 100% seker, so julle kan maar begin pink kleretjies koop en die kamer verf'. Haha - such a cute way of saying it.

Ok - so i do regret not sticking to my policy not to find out - but its done and over with - so know we can start on names - Deons favourite is Jazzlyn, my favourite is Tiara. So we will see.

_____________________________________________________________________________________________

Week 21 - Day: 2 (20 May 2008)

We have decided on a name (I know its a bit early though) but its Deon's favourite name and I quite like it (Jazlyn). We are so excited. At the moment I am so much more happy its a girl than the boy we wanted. She is going to be so precious and boy has she been moving around alot. Real busy this girl.

I went and bought three cute little pick outfits - they are adorable. The one t-shirt says
'Daddy's little heartbreaker' - Deon love's it. My favourite of course is the 'hello kitty' outfit. Aaah cute.
We have decided more or less what we want for the baby room (nursery) and the colours are pink and white (boring - I know) but it is a little girl. LOL. I wish we could just start now - that will be so much more exciting!

_______________________________________________________________________________________________

Week 21 - Day: 5 (23 May 2008)

Jazlyn has been kicking so much i feel her almost most of the day. Its such a lovely feeling. The weeks are suddenly going by so much fast for me - A couple more days and I am in week 22. WOW. I can remember being 16 weeks waiting to get to week 20 (so that I can be halfway) and here I am.

Well, today Deon said we could buy some paint for the nursery. Aaaah I am so excited. We bought light pink and darker pink. I wasnt sure if i wanted Pink because it is such a strong colour and we both like greens - but Jazlyn is a little girl and little girls love pink. When she gets old and tells us she doesnt like it - we will be more than happy to change it. But for now its going to be a precious girls dream.

So this weekend Im going to get started on the room. Ive already packed her cupboards and its helping with the excitement. Aahhh I can hardly wait. She is going to be so cute and so,so spoilt!

Week 27 - Day:2 (01 July 2008)

OMG - Its been 6 weeks since i last update? Cant believe how time is flying - I am three weeks away from 30 weeks - oh goodness.

Well, I had been pretty sick for a while though - I first have work related stress (my boss was being an complete ........ ), then I got Bronchitis (so bad I couldnt even get up to go to the loo, my whole body was bady infected, and then I got Gastro). And well, finally, this week I am healthy again.

Pregnancy - wow - its not for the faint hearted - my back sometimes feels like its abou to snap and as if someone is pressing a nail into it, my stomach feels like its about to pop and its so damn heavy. I get terrible heartburn and nausea. And I lack so much energy. Sound like I am complaining - Well I am - I thought something completely different about pregnancy - dont know what I thought - but it definitely wasnt this.

I went to book my bed at Ferncrest on the 19th June 2008 - I am so nervous for that day - honestly - I dont think anyone realy understands how scared I am - Even if someone does nothing anyone can say will take this feeling away. Ahhh - goodness. Off that subject ASAP - Tonight is our first anetal class - Whoo Hoo!! I hope its fun - Deon seems quite nervous. LOL. Perhaps it will make him more part of the pregnancy - Oh, yeah, by the way - He can feel her kick weeks ago and now he can see her move from the outside - its so cute - he rubs my tummy alot now and its comforting.

The only thing I dont understand is: Jazlyn will be so busy - like she is on Red Bull or something and as soon as I tell someone to put their hand on my tummy to feel her move - she lies still - and makes no movement. She use to do that alot with Deon in the beginning - LOL - not anymore though - but she does it with other people. Funny and weird.

3 more months to go - feels like forever though - mostly excited about the baby shower. I cant wait for all the presents! LOL.

________________________________________________________________________________________________

Week 28 - Day:3 (09 July 2008)

Happy Birthday to me for last week Wednesday - I turned 22 and it sucked so much because I couldnt go out and party, so Hubby, mom, myself and the two Kids (Gerhard & Rita) went to eat out. He bought me the most beatufil watch. I was CRAVING some good wine - but didnt even have a drop - but I know its all worth it!!

Last night was our first Anatel Class - it was ok. Nothing to write home about. All we did was read through pamphlets and discuss the products. Boring.

I am so tired the last two or three weeks - like I was in the second trimester. I dont feel like being at work and feel dead - like all I can do is sleep and nob my head (LOL).

Only 13 weeks to go - feels like forever!!

________________________________________________________________________________________________

Week 29 - Day:4 (17th July 2008)

Wow - this week went by real fast. Almost 30 weeks - thats great. I am huge at the moment - realy popped out and apart from that been gaining weight like crazy! Going to the Doc Tomorrow - so will see how much I weigh.

Went for our 4D scan yesterday and Jazlyn kept turning her head so we couldnt see anything - she is very stubborn.

The sister tried for very long, and then rescheduled for Monday (Yah) - Lucky for us - she said I should eat a chocolate and drink a coke before the time. I hope we get to see a beautiful pic of her face....although We all know she looks like Deon. We took Mom, Deon's gran & grandpa with and his gran loved it - she was so amazed - they even got to hear the heartbeat. I feel good about including them in all this too. Although they already have so many great-grand children, they have never been to a sonar or experienced anything like it. Shame. I think its most important to me that it is my gran's first great-grand child and I want them to bond because I love her so dearly.

Well, let me get back to work. Update next week again.

I feel you on the organizing! I am a OVERLY organized person one might say so I've been trying to find some sort of organizational scheme to prepare for the increasing amount of baby stuff we are getting, while having it still fit into the decor of the room. For his bedroom we redid the closest (not expensive at all) and put up 3 shelves, one high to the top to hold extra bags of diapers (bigger ones). Then another shelf, then a bar for clothes and then another shelf. I bought a bunch of those collapsible storage containers (the cloth ones) to hold diapers, wipes, blankets, sheets, stuff like that from Babies R Us but they have them for cheaper at art stores as well. Then I'll use the drawers for onesies and sleepers and stuff like that. The bins are neat because you can organize them as you need them and move them from room to room depending on what you need. We plan to keep one with diapers and stuff upstairs and in frequently used rooms as well.

Hey,
Thanks for commenting on my blog. Its feels good to know I am not alone haha! I'm sorry but it made me laugh when you said that everyone drank around you on your birthday, thats so mean and funny!
Anyways we just started registering for things and its soo overwhelming. Everything is so expensive, I feel bad asking friends and family to buy it but... I really ave no other choice.
I think we both just want all this to hurry up so we can meet our lil one's! Well that and have a large drink haha.
Have a good rest of the week!
-Robin

katykat - Thursday, 3 July
Oh, that is no joke...I am SO done with this!! Lol...I'm getting to the point I can't hardly even sleep at night, and I know it's just going to get worse as I get bigger...can't find any comfy maternity clothes, I just wanna wear sweatpants (or nothing, heh) but my job requires me to wear a "uniform" of sorts...supposed to be like khaki fatigues and a work shirt with our names embroidered on it...luckily no one is brave enough to tell the pregnant woman what she can and can't wear to work LOL!!!

*Baby-Mine* - Wednesday, 2 July

kelcam76 - Wednesday, 2 July
Hi there
Thank you so much for your comment on my little girls photo. It's a wonderful feeling someone else thinking the same as me (as obvious I'm very biased thinking she's a little cutie). It's a nice compliment for very proud first time mum. Congratulations on your pregnancy also I truely believe the same as you that being pregnant and having a child is a true blessing. Your page has a gorgeous feel and I'm sure you are going to be such loving parents. Enjoy being pregnant as in the big scheme of things it doesn't last long and I so enjoyed the little movements. Of course now there's more to enjoy spending time with our little Lauren. thank you once again and I wish you the very best. x

*Baby-Mine* - Tuesday, 1 July
ooo how exciting!!! hope you guys have a good time and learn!!
have a good nite, and let me know how it goes!<3

*Baby-Mine* - Tuesday, 1 July
i actually was ready to have it really bad! i but i got lucky. i mean REALLY lucky! i never got m/s. the most i've had to deal with is fatigue, and sore bbs in the beginning. but lately i've gotten a bit more energy so i've been feeling pretty good.
i do get heartburn from time to time, but not too bad. right now the WORST i have is i get this pain in my right hip joint, and its like a sharp, shooting pain when i step on that leg. it comes and goes.
man i know what you mean about the heavy belly! its getting hard to get in and out of bed or off the couch, and to just plain manuever it!! lol

*Baby-Mine* - Tuesday, 1 July
yeah i agree. leaving was never an option, and never crossed my mind. i thought that was a bit dramatic too. i think the only way i would leave is if i KNEW he was actually doing something and even then i'd kick HIM out!! lol
but i'm ready to fight to the death for my marriage and husband, and defend our child. this chick better learn her place and FAST bc i will NOT hesitate to go down there and humiliate her by putting her in it FOR her!!
i just hope when the emotions take over again i can take a second, breathe, and remember how wonderful a husband i have and talk to him w/o getting worked up.
he keeps surprising me at how easy it is for me to talk to him about my issues, and he's always very loving and receptive, so i guess i have a better DH than i was giving him credit for!
hope you guys are well!
how's the pregnancy goin?

vanessag7 - Tuesday, 1 July

I have 2 girls already so I was hoping for a boy but as long as he/she is healthy is all that matters. Most likely I wont get any other ultrasounds so I'll just wait for my lil one to surprise us. =)

agonzales - Tuesday, 13 May
lol nope.. just like I thought.. the baby was cooperating. So I have no idea what it is. At first it looked like a girl.. then we thought boy and the doc said 60% girl but he couldnt tell. I guess it was meant to be a surprise.

MOMMI~NICOLE - Wednesday, 30 April
Not silly!! I still get nervous/scared about a month or so before birth and I've done it 4 times!!! Always get that feeling like, oh no, I changed my mind, I don't want to go through with this! LOL...but right now I am looking forward to ALL of it,I love giving birth, to me it is the most powerful feeling in the world, up there with euphoria :O) I am CRAZY!!!
