My name is Jennifer and I'm engaged to my wonderful fiancee Jamie a.k.a Foxx. We've been together for and I recently gave birth to our first child. Our journey has just begun and we are so excited. He is the best thing that ever happened to us! We're enjoying being parents and we love him so much!!

Pregnancy Memorandum

I went for my first u/s today. It was amazing and hilarious at the same time. Of course my fiancee came with me and he was acting up. He was making all kinds of crazy faces, and he even asked the technician to try to find another baby inside of me as if I'm having twins!!! The technician had a ball with him. He saw more than I did because I was lying down and he was right in front of the monitor. It was a beautiful experience though. The technician gave us two pictures which he is guarding with his life. It's so cute to see him so excited. I never seen him this excited about anything else before. I go back for my 20 weeks sonogram in November to find out the sex. At first he didn't want to know what we're having, but I guess that our first u/s left him anxious to know. He's even talking about our next child and we're not even through with our first. :-) awww, how cute!

I had another Dr's appointment today! My fiancee is so determined to come with me to every appointment (I love him!). We heard the baby's heartbeat with the fetal doppler for the first time today. It was a big relief for me because my Doc tried the fetal doppler @ 11 weeks and we couldn't hear anything, and although she told me not to be discouraged, I couldn't help but to be just that. So when I finally heard it I was the happiest woman on Earth. The sound is actually still in my head. I see my Dr. in another month and we will find out the baby's sex in another 6 weeks. I never been so anxious for any doctor's appoinment in my life, but now is different. Unfortunately, now all i can do is wait.

I turned exactly 16 weeks today!! I was at work minding my own business and I suddenly felt our baby move for the very first time. It wasn't a hard kick or anything like that. It felt more like bubbles or repetitious light taps and I know it was definitely the baby. I called my hubby and let him know. I know it's hard for him to believe it because at this point only I can feel the movement. I told him he has to wait a few more weeks for the baby to start really kicking so he can feel it. Despite of what I told him, he still tries to provoke our baby by talking into my belly-button like it's some type of microphone. I just can't wait for the day that our baby kicks him dead in the face while he's doing that. :-) We have an appointment coming up to see how the baby's doing, and we still have to wait til the beginning of November to find out what we're having. It seems like the days are going by faster, although I know that it will seem slow by the time I'm almost ready to give birth. For now, I will enjoy everyday because there's always something happening.

We went to our appointment today. It went ok, I guess. They drew blood for the AFP test and I also got referred to the nutrionist because I gained 17lbs in one month. I know, that's way too much!!! The beginning of this year I weighed 243lbs but I went on a diet and by July I weighed 179lbs. Since I been pregnant I totally disregarded my diet and started eating like a pig. So now I'm 205lbs. The nutrionist is going to be monitoring me, which totally sucks!!! On the upside, my baby's heartbeat was 146 and I have an appointment next week to find out the sex!! Can't wait!!!

We had another dr's appointment today. I got my AFP results, and everything was fine, thank you God! Our baby weighs 1 lb. & 4oz. @ 21 weeks. It sounds like he's gonna be a big one. As for me, I only gained 2 lbs. in 1 month which sounds like music to my ears because last month I had gained 17 lbs. in 1 month, which had my doctor worried and caused her to refer me to the nutrionist. I also saw the nutrionist today and she was very happy as well. I need to keep up what I'm doing to keep myself healthy and everyone satisfied, most importantly my unborn child. As for my baby, he's kicking the hell out of me, I can both feel it and see it. That is the most amazing experience byfar with my pregnancy. Til' next time!

We enjoyed our Thanksgiving Day!!! We had lots to eat and surprisingly everything tasted very good. We had all intentions to go buy the crib set today, but everyone in the family had something negative to say. They have some Spanish superstition going on, they think it's too early to buy any baby items. They say I should at least wait til I'm 7 months, they think it's bad luck, some sort of hex on the baby or something like that. I decided not to buy anything yet, which was a big dissapointment but we still went Black Friday shopping. As I was walking around the stores, I noticed that I'm not walking enough because my legs were tense and I had this pressure like pain on my lower back. It felt like a pinched nerve. I couldn't wait to get home to relax. And I really can't wait til 7 months to buy baby items, THIS SHIT IS GONNA DRIVE ME CRAZY!!!

Another day at the dr's.........Everything went ok. My baby is fine. I heard the heartbeat as usual. I also had the glucose test done. My dr. told me that now I will have to see her every 2 weeks which makes me a lil' scared because now I know that I'm almost there!!! Other than that, my baby's been very active. He's been kicking the hell out of me and I'm loving it. I just hope everything comes out ok with my glucose test because I really don't feel like sitting at my dr's for the 3 hr test, 1 hr was enough!!!

Happy New Year!!!! This is our year, we'll be brand new parents very soon!! I had another dr's appointment today. I passed the glucose test which I'm very happy about. I also had another HIV test done which was negative. I heard my lil' boy heartbeat. I gained 1lb in 2 weeks, which I think is great because if I continue at that rate I will only be gaining 2lbs a month. The doctor actually scheduled me for another ultrasound because she says that my baby should weigh about 2.4lbs and he already, according to her measurements, weighs 3lbs. She wants to make sure that she didn't miscalculate my due date or if my baby is just going to be a big one. Either way I'm excited because I was told that I wouldn't be getting anymore ultrasounds but now I get another chance to see my baby boy!!! By the way me and the hubby are very anxious, we already setting up our baby shower and finally picking out our baby furniture. The only thing we're a lil' upset about is that he recently started a new job and he can no longer come with me to my appointments. He's even more so that he's not going to be able to attend the next ultrasound, but what can we do? We gotta make this $$ because our baby will be here very soon. Some things we just gotta sacrifice.

Well it's been a while since I posted something new on my page, although I'm on this site almost everyday. We been busy buying everything for our son, since we decided on not having a Baby Shower. At first I was a lil' upset about not having one but I quickly got over it. I just didn't feel like entertaining people, although that would've been free gifts. I know it sounds harsh, but really it's just that I'm tired and sometimes I don't even feel like being bothered. We almost bought everything we need. Well we have all the important things, even though we're pretty sure that there will be something we left out, being that we're first time parents. The crib arrives in 2 weeks, hopefully the baby doesn't decide to come out before then. Everyone at my job has given me gifts (clothes, pampers, wipes, money, gift cards etc). They knew I wasn't having a Baby Shower so they decided to go behind my back and give me one. That was so nice and thoughtful of them. Our family members were also assigned gifts (lol) so we pretty much got everything covered. I'm 34 weeks today and as the days go by I'm getting more and more anxious. I'm a lil' scared and really excited as the day approaches. For some reason the days seem to go by slower and slower. In the beginning, the weeks were just flying by, but now the days are dragging!! As for the baby, he's doing real good. We had a sonogram done on 1/31/08 and of course daddy had to double-check with the technician that it's still a boy. The baby's already upside down and getting big. He's very active, his movements can hurt sometimes though. I feel that he doesn't have that much space to fool around with, so my stomach feels so tight and when I put my hands on my stomach it feels so hard. He does this funny thing... he moves from one side to another, making one side look like a big ass lump and the other side soft as hell. Oooh, and my bladder......eeewww!!! I go to the bathroom so much, I might as well attach the toilet to my ass!!! Well, I know there's some things I left out but I just can't think about it right now, you know us preggos forget almost everything!!! Til next time ;-p

Well, I haven't posted something up in ages due to the fact that my comp broke down and I was too busy to go out and buy another one. I gave birth to my first child, my lovely baby boy on April 3rd ,8 days late, and he weighed in at 8 lbs and 14 oz. and was 21 inches long. My labor experience was terrible. So much so that I don't even wanna post it up for the sake of not reminding myself everytime I check my profile out. He was delivered by c-section but in the end, it was all worth. I got my healthy bundle of joy and he's almost 3 months now. Time goes by so fast!!!
