Hello, my name is Kimberly and I have been together with my husband Matt 11 years 1996. We are high school sweethearts ! We have been married since 2003. We suffered a miscarriage in 2003. It took me a while to get over that. Then it just tumbled from there. Sad story I lost a loving grandfather 3/12/04, and then my loving daddy 10/12/04. Then this past 5/6/07 My whole world closed in on me when I found out my beautiful, so lovable brother Christopher passed away. So two months after that I knew something was going on when my breasts started to hurt so bad and I was late for my period. I took a test and not even 30 seconds two pink lines showed up. I didn't believe it so I took another test and then I still didn't believe it until I went to see my ob/gyn!!!! WOW I am pregnant what a journey this has been. I love being pregnant. I was really hoping for a boy, because of all the men now gone and up in heaven, but I'm so thrilled to be bringing in a little girl by the name of Kayla Christiana into this world. When I had the miscarriage in 2003 I was 12 weeks pregnant and I really thought I was carrying a girl. Well here she comes...

Hi Kim,
Glad to hear that you are doing great. We have so many similarities-Leah has also grown out of her 0-3 month clothes, although there are onesies and some other clothes that still fit. She has been sleeping through the night for weeks now, but at times she will get up one time during the night. I have been back to work since Leah was 6 weeks old. I still nurse her every morning, but I'm sure it's not enough milk to fill her up-it's more like a pacifier to her, but she loves it! I just got my first real period, pretty heavy,too. Leah is so adorable, she has an awesome personality. She "talks" a lot, screams, has rolled from stomach to back and loves to stand when we stand her. She also laughs a lot-everything is funny to her! Glad to hear from you-write soon........

I think Mayson is teething too, he is always sucking on his fingers and he also tries to stuff his bib in his mouth and chew it...he recently started wearing bibs when the drooling got out of hand LOL which is another reason why I think he is teething, he's 14 weeks on saturday.

Hi buddy!! Missed you man! Addi and I are doing just fine. She sleeps all night as well. We go for shots on Tuesday (boo!!!). I'm glad your hubby is great with Kayla. She is so cute. I'm back at work but I decided to only work part time that way we don't have to send her to day care. She has been giving her father a hard time tho. He doesn't play with her the way i do AND she gets super fussy.

Hi Kim, Glad to hear from you and that Kayla is doing better. Yes, that screaming can be something else. Jacob has quite a temper when he does get upset. He's a great morning napper, but afternoons get a little rough. He really needs 3 naps a day as well as sleeping 9-10 at night. He won't nap in his crib anymore, so he takes his morning nap in the swing. By 9pm, Kayla is probably so tired that she screams. Jacob's the worst when he is tired which is what happens here every afternoon.

I'm glad that you're back! I was wondering about you, but just figured that you were busy with Kayla, who, by the way is so adorable. It sucks about your brother. I don't think that sort of pain ever goes away. It's like losing an arm and then realizing every time you try to reach for something that it isn't there anymore. But, you can always tell Kayla about her uncle and that he is watching over her from heaven. How is Kayla doing now? I am blessed that Kaeden is such a good baby. But, everytime I think I have him figured out, he switches it up on me again, so I have learned to just go with the flow and read his cues for what he wants. What's the deal with the tampon thing? I hate pads, but thats what I've been using too. Talk to ya later. Glad you're back!

Cute baby!!! Oh, and you live near me. Actually...my hubby and I lived in Old City...but then we purchased a home ...in the suburbs....still in pa though. We moved in April...then I went into early labor. The rest is history. Still in Pa though!

There are a lot of opinions about sterilizing. A lot of experts now say that you don't even have to sterilize, just wash them well. And most dishwashers get hot enough to sterilize. Then there are the hardcores who say to boil for 5 minutes every time.
I think that the most crucial time is until they are 3 months, but again there are the hardcores who say to sterilize for a year.
We don't sterilize anymore. We just wash with soap and hot water. Every now and then I'll sterilize them in a steamer bag int he microwave, but I'm not too concerned.

Nice to see you back on here with us! :D Can't wait to see recent pics of your little princess. :) You need to go to a place like www.photobucket.com to "host" your pictures for you to post them on the message board forum. You don't need to host them on your own page. Once you have an account (it's free) you can upload them. Once your picture is uploaded you need to copy the html code underneath it. That is what you paste on the message board - in the spot where you type your message. Let me know if you need any more help! It's pretty easy when you do it a couple of times. :)

How's everything going? Great here. Leah actually slept through the night last night! I had her at the doctor's last Sunday because it looked like she had pink eye-she did, but it was secondary to a blocked tear duct. I had to give her Erythromycin ointment three times a day for a week. I also have to massage the area where the duct is. She hasn't had any problems further from it. She is getting big and laughs and smiles. Tell me how dear Kayla is doing......
