Tuesday, 27 May Hey there! Glad that you and Kayla are doing well. Remember, we will always worry about something. Leah does a lot of sleeping, too. She has a few periods in the day that she is up for a while, though. She smiles a lot. I went back to work last week. I cried. But now I am used to it. Leah is either with Sean, my mother or my mother and father-in-law. The breast-feeding is minimal now. I pump once a night at work, but I only get out about 2 ounces or so and Leah drinks about 4 ounces every 3 hours! She weighed 9lb. 11 oz. at her appt. Wed. the 21st. They gave her 5 shots and I cried. Good thing Sean was there with me. We had her sleep in her crib last night instead of the bassinette that is in our room. She did great. Most of the time, she sleeps with us because she has an attitude about the bassinette. Doesn't like the mattress. Everything will be o.k. with Kayla-she enjoys sleeping because it is so comfortable. She is gorgeous by the way. Keep in touch. Love, Donna mommyinthesky -
Wednesday, 21 May Oh dear, I've been known to go overboard on picture spending myself. I'm glad you got them though. I've been wanting to make an appointment with JCPenney. After Jacob's appointment today, I realize how much he's grown in 7 weeks. Never again can I capture his "newborness." I'd wanted to have professional pictures taken of him every month, so maybe I'll get it done before he is 2 months old. mom2boy -
Tuesday, 20 May My scar is fine, it is still really purple. My DR was telling me it will fade and turn white. I thought it was funny because I could care less. Nothing in my wardrobe is low enough to show that scar LOL. No I have not had a period yet. My Dr said I probably won't and especially not now because I am going to start the mini pill. Jo-Mama -
Tuesday, 20 May I am so lucky that I got to breastfeed for 2 months and I'm sad to be giving it up. I just hate that everything I read and even some people I talk to make me feel like such a bad person. I know that I'm doing the right thing and that Malone needs a healthy mom, but I hate having to defend my choice. Anyway, I need to appreciate the last 2 months and begin to look forward to the new feeding routine. At least this way Dad can help and I'll get to reclaim my boobs! mom2boy -
Tuesday, 20 May Plus since the photographer came to your house you don't have to have your baby exposed to all the other babies that who knows what germs they might have. Ha ha ha I know I am totally paranoid of getting sick.
No period yet for me. I am also going to start the mini pill and my dr said I probably wouldn't get a period at all. WOOT WOOT!!! 1hotmooma -
Tuesday, 20 May Aww look at pretty pretty Kayla!!! How are you guys doing? mommyinthesky -
Tuesday, 20 May Hey there, Let that little Kayla sleep! I just discovered the difference in Jacob if I let him sleep like he wants to. I'd been waking him up to eat so often and it was behind his crankiness. The last few days I've been really watching his naps, he's slept through the night the last 3 days, he has plenty of poopy diapers still, he just needed naps. I should have known. Remember, we have the calm babies! They slept in the womb and they sleep outside it too. I read they should be getting like at least 16 hours of sleep in a 24 hr period. That one week Jacob was only getting maybe 9-10. Now that's he's getting his 16, he's back to his old self. sarahnicely -
Monday, 19 May my little one sleeps and sleeps and sleeps...and so did my first one. Some babies just require more sleep than others...I think part of the reason they are so content is because they are never over tired. Maybe some mom's don't let their little ones sleep enough. crabscanfly -

Saturday, 17 May Thanks for the well wishes! How was your mothers day? My little one may have allergies passing thru my milk so I spent mine eating a milk free, soy free, nut free, egg free, fish/shellfish free, citrus free, grain free, gluten free diet. He's been having green slimy poopy with blood for weeks now & they cant figure out why, so this is an effort on the allergy front. I'm worried sick, plus the dr. said if its not better soon I'm going to have to stop nursing & give him one of those predigested formulas. I know plenty of people formula feed & I have nothing against it, but I just love nursing so much that I've already cried about it repeatedly. I hope things are going better for you. I haven't been on much to read the boards so I dont really know whats happening. mommyinthesky -
Wednesday, 14 May Hi, Thanks for the nice message. Jacob and I are having a good day, a good week so far. He seems to be back to his old self and is taking a nap right now. I'm not surprised Kayla isn't too into her gym yet. I have a feeling that all of the toy ideas I had for Jacob may not have been the greatest ideas. I think he's going to be a simple kind of kid who is amused by basic things around the house rather than some of the flashy toys that I like. I wanted that Rainforest bouncer for him so much and I got it and he doesn't even like the waterfall on it. His floor gym is Rainforest also and it's still in the box.
Things with my husband are fine now. He gets into depressed moods, I get into depressed moods and then we are usually able to snap out of things eventually. So much depends on my husband's diabetes and blood sugar levels too. His moods. My moods are hereditary. You do have reason to be sad during this time with the loss of your brother. It's only been a year. I would feel the same if I lost my sister or either of my parents.
Uh oh, I'm hearing sounds on the monitor, so the nap may have come to an end. He enjoys his swing and classical CD way more than I expected. I'd better go. He's awake for sure.

Wednesday, 14 May Awww, she is a cutie. The handprint turned out great- not an easy task I know! I did Leah's handprint too but it is not very clear because I had to hold her hand open. I even waited until she was asleep and had my oldest son help me but she didn't make it easy for us. mommyinthesky -
Wednesday, 14 May Hi there, Kayla is so cute! How does she like her floor gym? Jacob has one too, but I haven't had him try it yet. He is still confused and annoyed by toys. Thanks for the Mother's Day wish, hope yours was a good one. marias1stbaby -

Sunday, 11 May Hey, I definitely know what you mean about getting back to friends on here. I feel bad because I have several I want to leave messages for but the time I have to get on here is so short. Anyway, thanks for the nice message and I'm so glad Kayla is doing well. It sounds like you are really enjoying her. That is so wonderful. Have a great Mother's day! How strange to be able to celebrate this day. I feel so grown up! lol BabyHelton -
