Hi everyone =] im a 22 year old first time mommy from San Diego CA. I live with my boyfriend Jorge, we have been together for a little over 2 years. We are SOOOOO EXCITED to be parents. I am always looking (and hoping!) for good advice from other mommies. I hope you all have fun healthy pregnancies =]

Well i had a 4d ultrasound on July 20th and found out we are expecting a baby GIRL. I'm not sure if this world is ready for a mini me, but we are overjoyed to know what we are having. We decided that her name is going to be Savannah Megan Morales. I can't wait to meet her! Our level 2 ultrasound is 8/21 so I'll have another post for you then =]

My 22nd birthday was 8/16 and my boyfriend PROPOSED!! I didn't expect that at all, I was in shock and pretty much still am =] We decided that we didn't want to get married because we were having a baby, but rather because we wanted to spend the rest of our lives together. I know I was ready for us to get engaged even before the baby came into our minds, but he wasnt. And now he is =] He asked my mom if she would go with him to pick out the ring, which ment ALOT to me because shes MY BEST FRIEND. He took me down to the beach (La Jolla Coves) where we used to go before we became an item and proposed there. I love him so much =]

Ok so i had my level 2 on 8/21 and everything looked PERFECT. I was so happy to hear that and see how big she is getting. I was having quite a few scares with some bleeding and cramping on and off, and getting the good news at the last appointment eased my heart =] We came up with the name SAVANNAH MEGAN for our little princess =] We lived over in Savannah, GA last year when my fiance was stationed @ Ft. Stewart (ARMY) and i fell in love with the name Savannah...the middle name is in rememberance of my little sister Megan who passed away when she was 3. We thought that they sounded good together. Other than that I don't have too much more news. The baby has been kicking like crazy but I still can't feel her from the outside. It makes me sad because I really want her daddy to feel her moving around in there, I'm sure the time will come soon enough!

Its been a while since my last update.. I went in for my 1hr glucose test yester (10/08) and my results came back high. My score was 178 and it should be under 130, so I'm not feeling too good about that. No one told me to fast... so I had a nice stack of pancakes for breakfast that morning. (seriously.. the best craving EVER) I really think that the pancakes are what put me over on my test. I am going back in on Friday 10/12 for the 3 hr tolerance test. I hope that goes better. Also on Friday, we have a 4d ultrasound planned for 6pm. We havent seen our little girl since 21 weeks and are missing her!! Ill be sure to post some pictures either that night or the next day. Jorge has been able to feel Savannah for a while now. She can definately recognize his voice. As soon as he gets home from work he bends down and kisses my belly. As soon as he starts talking to her she goes crazy =] she is definately going to be DADDYS LITTLE GIRL.

10/15 Well this morning i was diagnosed with GD and am still in shock. I feel so bad, but I know that I need to remain positive for my little girl. Shes my everything and I'll do whatever it takes for this pregnancy to be healthy. 2 out of 4 levels came back high, so I am just above borderline GD. As of right now I will not need any insulin shots, just a strick diet with even more eating (healthy foods only). They said the baby will not have diabetes like her mama, but she is at risk for being large. If thats the case they will induce labor and ill have a December baby. I don't mind, I think that would be the BEST present that Santa could bring lol. I go to my first GD meeting/appointment on Friday, so I'll have another update for you then.
