Hi! Just found out we're expecting our first child. A bit of a surprise but we are thrilled. A little unsure of what to expect but so far all is going smoothly. Family and friends are great, but it's nice to have the opinion of others who are going through the same thing. Wishing you all healthy, happy babies!

Tuesday, 1 July That's pretty cool your dad being an obgyn, I bet that helps having him there to answer any questions you may have. Now we all know who to ask when we can't reach our ob's! lol :) totaltrip -
Tuesday, 1 July i posted a note about yours/my numbness on the main 32 week page... ready -
Friday, 27 June You are not going to be able to pack in 5 weeks. If you do, you will be a lot of pain. Trust me. We moved in May, we had didn't set up any of our beds. We just sleep on the mattresses on the floor. Well last weekend we got so sick of seeing thing just laying around. We decided to finish cleaning up. It just about killed me. I know we didn't work anymore than 4 hours total. I hurt so bad. You really need to get lots of help from anyone that is willing to help. kneebaby1978 -
Tuesday, 24 June Well, I am 70% effaced now and 1.5 cm. Doctors really don't think I am going to make it much longer. I am shooting for 36 weeks at least, they are thinking more like 32 which is a little over 1 week away. How is everything going for you? pinkdirtrider -
Monday, 23 June You sound much more prepared than I am! My Fiance and I just bought a house and moved in two weeks ago, I am still recovering from all the lifting. I did WAY more than I should have and it totally wore me out! I don't have diddley squat for my little girl, I need to get busy! Is your baby okay with "extra fluid" around him/her? I have not heard such a thing from my doctor yet. I go in on Wed for my 31 week check-up, then I start Every two weeks! I feel like I don't know very much about what is going on inside of me, I need to know more!! I still have not put on very much weight, I know people say I shouldn't complain, but it kind of has me worried! I am just tired with a gut, not a pregnant tummy! I need to hear that everything is okay, but yet again, I have been saying that from day one. This poor baby will see her Ped. a lot in her first year, I can already tell!! Good luck moving, and take it EASY!! Don't do too much, or you will get very worn out. pinkdirtrider -
Monday, 23 June Hey! How are you feeling these days? I am getting so anxious! Ready to be done being pregnant, but I have SO much to do before she arrives. I haven't even had a baby shower yet!! All I have for her is a crib, changing table and some cute outfits! I am feeling very unprepared. Hope you are doing well!! ready -
Friday, 20 June I moved twice when I was pregnant with my oldest son. We just moved again at the end of May. This time was so much harder than my last pregnancy. Just let everyone else do most of the work. If not, you will be in a lot of pain. Just think about it you can be the "moving manager". That way you don't have to work. You just stand around telling others what to do all day. And then yell at them when they mess up. And you can blame it all on hormones. It'll be fun!! Good luck. kneebaby1978 -
Wednesday, 18 June Thanks for leaving me a message! I will take your advice and sit my behind right where it is for as long as I have to. Hope all is going well for you and yours! mommynicolem -
Friday, 13 June I totally understand where you are coming from. I personally think your hubby is being inconsiderate to your feelings. I have one that's good at that, too. You just have to yell and then cry. Maybe pout. It's the only way! :) liberty -
Wednesday, 11 June Hi Beansmom,
Thanks for replying back. Oh you do not know how much I miss an ice cold beer! I have not touched a drop of alcohol since I became pregnant.
I have not experienced Braxton Hicks yet. Went to my first antenatal class on Monday and watched a normal birth and a pool birth. Its what I expected. I am gonna make sure to have epidural and gas and air!
You are due nearly around the same time as me. Exciting!! I am due on 23rd August. But I bet my little girl will not come on date date! Like you I will be 30 weeks on Friday 13th June. Christ! Time does fly. I keep hearing the third trimester is pretty bad but I am not reading any books about it to get me stressed or worried. I'll just deal with any symptoms as they come.
My god you get one year mat leave? Is that on full pay? I get something like 8 weeks of full pay, followed by 18 weeks of half pay and a bit of government money then I get just government money. That is followed by so many weeks of unpaid leave. I'll go back to work when the money runs out!
Which part of the US are you from? I live in Birmingham, England.
I don't feel too bad today thanks. I sit in my office at work for most of the day but have to get up every now and then cause my back really hurts and I have to stretch. No matter if I change office chairs my back still hurts and I feel so heavy when I stand up.! Oh well only 5 more weeks until I go on maternity leave!
Can't wait!
Speak soon.

Wednesday, 11 June It's so different when it's yours ...it's a wonderful experience, with its challenges at times but you'll really cherish it...I look forward to it even though last time was my hardest. liberty -
Monday, 9 June As you said Beansmom, nothing and I mean nothing works except getting up and walking about. Saying that, over the past 2 weeks it has not been too bad. Maybe because I've found a way of half sleeping on my back and thigh. I tell you something, I cannot wait till the baby is born. Gonna have a long sleep. And I'll murder anyone who tries to wake me up :-)
When are you due?
How many weeks are you?
Do you find you bones crack quite a bit? Mine does when I stand up.
When do you finish work?

Friday, 30 May I have that sprain feeling in my groin area and it hurts so bad when laying down and turning to the other side, nothing really helps but as time went on I got use to the pain I was told it was our cartilage stretching and not everyone gets it but for those who do it doesnt really leave till later lol my doctor said the only thing that will alleviate the pain is concentrating on pain elsewere

Sunday, 25 May I am struggling at work too. I am soo tired through lack of sleep its shattering. It gets real stressful with the phones and customers i feel like i am going to explode sometimes. I wanted to leave before i hit 36 weeks but they talked me into staying to train my replacement because she can't start training to Mid July. AAARGH. I am not superwoman, its not as if they are actively trying to make me more comfortable. I get one half hour lunch break and not other breaks during to day. On a friday i work 8.30 - 4 with no break at all because we finish 1 hour early. it sucks. I really don't know how i am gonna make it to 38 weeks. If you have any advice i am all open to it. Thx and i hope you don't mind the vent but i know how you feel. xxx lulizzle -
Sunday, 25 May I'm glad to hear my little one is not the only one trying to set himself free! I'm just waiting for my kitten to notice my tummy moving so much...she is so playful she will prolly try to attack it! Mizzy -
Saturday, 24 May hi there read your post about yout groin and hip pains, and i know exactly what you are going through! i experienced this with two of my pregnancies and i have it a bit with this one,but i have realized some ways of dealing with it.when i was pregnant a year ago with my son william it was so bad i couldnt lift my leg,i would limp when i walked and even took my mat leave 3 months early because i couldnt stand it.i worked at a desk job,and sitting for hours on end put strain on my hips and bottom.when i quit i was at home and i would put my legs up as much as possible, and it made a drastic difference after a while.i still had some pain in bed though, and that wont go away till the baby is born.but it all has to do with ligaments stretching and relaxing and putting your legs up will take pressure off your hips and bottom.also in families with arthritis a woman is more likely to experience these problems, even if when your not pregnant you have no issues.thats what i have been told,so i hope it helps you some! firstbaby4lisa -
Wednesday, 21 May Hi,
I got my change table from Craigslist - I know you have been looking but the white ones go the fastest, so you have to be on top of it the moment it gets posted. I got a super deal $60 and it looks brand new. ready -
Wednesday, 21 May I didn't even have a changing table with my 1st child. He had a blanket that he played on all the time. It pretty much stayed on the floor. I would just sit down with him and change his diper on the floor. We always keep dipers and wipes next to the chair. We also didn't have pets. I'm not sure if you do or not. You may not want to do what we did but, its always an option. christina1984 -
