My husband and I always thought we'd wait about 7 yrs....but we got a surprise! We are so excited...and now wondering why we ever wanted to wait. We'll have our little boy, Rowan, before we know it! It's our first.

Tuesday, 26 August No worries about breastfeeding... when you start getting ready for labor, your hormones will start triggering your body to produce colostrum, and by the time baby is born you will be able to breastfeed. Even with preemies, your body will produce colostrum (and then milk). In fact, your body makes milk specific to preemie needs (which I thought was really cool) if that happens... anyway, point being, even with absolutely no leaking, you will still be able to meet your baby's needs. And kudos for breastfeeding--it's an amazing thing. Sue23 -

Friday, 8 August i started off at 13.6 and am now 10.3, i have to take 2 a day, Farrous Sulphate is what i take i know they have different ones. I was very exhausted for a few weeks, now i know why, so im glad im taking them they seem to be making a lil difference. Yeah im not a big fan of what they do to your bowel movements but i was warned by the doctor midwife and family. Im eating bran flakes for breakfast now, lol, they may help. The midwife wasnt worried about how low my iron was cause she said it is bound to drop now but was worried about how much it dropped by in a matter of weeks. hope youre doing well. gr8scottswife -
Friday, 8 August I thought I was the only one experiencing the "twitching" in my legs. It is more like someone hits me with a reflex hammer, and my legs jump. This happens often, and most likely at night. It started around week 24. When it first began, it was bothersome and happened a lot. Now, it only happens occassionally. The feeling goes from the lowest part of my back straight down the back of my legs and into my big toe. I'm guessing it is baby-sitting-on-a-nerve-related. What else could cause that? shelleyrae33 -
Wednesday, 6 August My blood pressure has been about the same. Not too high, but high enough that they watch it. They also take it while I lay on my left side - very odd. brat -
Wednesday, 6 August my blood pressure is always at 130 and my dr says the same thing, they will keep an eye on it. I have no other signs of preeclaymsia either and I am in week 36. She is not too concerned now like she was before because every visit it seems to be at 130. My last visit was 140 but they took it again 5 minutes later and it was 130. I get too scared when I go to the dr b/c I think they are going to tell me something bad so its always a little higher when I first get there, lol

Saturday, 26 July my husband and myself are like you... we haven't done it in ages, about once every 2/3 weeks now..and last 2 times we did it he didn't "go" either. He admitted he didn't want to hurt me or the baby..they are soppy old things when they start aren't they, only I got into my head for a while that he didn't fancy me anymore. Blame the hormones on that one... cantwaittoseemybaby -
Friday, 25 July Don't feel bad. I haven't really been having sex either. The first time in two months was about three weeks ago and that was it. My boyfriend is scared as well. things will be back to normal soon and you will be getting some everytime the baby is sleep. 10 more weeks or so ATE -
Friday, 25 July I hear you on being frustrated. My husband and I have not had sex in a while. I am frustrated and even talked to an employee who recently had a baby and she said it is normal. Men are just afraid to hurt us or the baby. MSUSpartan -
Friday, 25 July Have you seen the movie "knocked up"? There is a hilarious sex scene where the guy is afraid that he's denting the baby's head or something. It's worth a watch. Maybe your DH will learn to get over his fear a bit too.

Friday, 25 July My husband worries about hurting the baby too. We normal have sex 3 times a week, and now it is more like 1 a month. When I was pregnant with my first we had sex when I was 33 weeks and that night I started having bad contractions. I had to go to the hospital and I had started to dilate. I wasput on magnesium to stop labor. So sex really does bring on labor. My husband can't stop thinking about that. However you will only have that problem if your body is ready. shosho -
Friday, 25 July Yeah my husband is all hung up on that to- which is fine with me I am not feeling sexual at ALL right now- Try not to worry you guys'll get it back when the baby gets here

Friday, 25 July Hi I did have a Epidural with my daughter kinda late into labor because I wanted to try and do it without it. But that pain was more than I could handle. lol So I got it done and I was still feeling them bad so they came in and put more medication, after that I dont remember pain just pressure like I had to go and they just keep telling me its only the baby coming down. Its really hard to hold your legs like they want you to cause it is like dead weight. So the nurse and John had to hold them. The only side effect I had with it was for about a little over a year the top of my legs felt numb. I guess that is common because it happened to my cousin too. sclay -
Friday, 25 July HEllo there. Epidurals work different for everyone. Mine was wonderful and I didn't feel anything. It kind of feels like the bottom half of your body fell asleep- which at first I HATED!!! But then when it came time to push I was so greatful for. On other woman I hear you can still have a 'spot' that doesn't get as numb. They have a word for it I just forget. But when they put the epi in they numb you first the numbing medicine might be a little painful for just a min, but then your good to go.....but remember they work different for everyone. Bangel -

Tuesday, 22 July I was also told I have low hemoglobin count. I'm taking SLOW FE now. What about you? Any side effects from the extra iron? I'm thrilled I don't have gestational diabetes though!! I can handle a little extra iron, but I couldn't handle being on a diet!! Take care!
