...My husband and I have known eachother since we were children. After 2 decades, in Jan of 2005 we became reacquainted. He still admired about me after so long and eventually I started to feel the same. We married in April of 06'.

We began trying TTC after our honeymoon in Jamaica. We miscarried with our first. in May of 2007. We continued to ttc, thereafter but to no avail until this March, we were happy to find out we have been blessed yet again....

This little one is changing gears and he keeps on Driving!!!

Peaceful Labor-

This is amazing, she sings while having two heavy contractions. I pray God gives me the same strength.

I'm not the typical guy, but I'll try my best. I know that I like food, so anything that can help me prepare it in new or more convienent ways would be nice. Does he like coffee? I just got a coffee grinder, so now I can try all of the gourmet coffees available..I'm sure I'll get plenty of use out of it with all of those sleepless nights coming up. Maybe get him a manly "bucket" (instead of basket) of guy soap and shaving stuff and the like. Yard tools are always good because it'll make him feel fatherly- rake, shovel.. etc. I got myself a t-shirt online that says "superdad" he might like that. If he's anything like me, he is in constant need of socks. Maybe you can get him a gift cert to his favorite store and just let him go and get whatever he wants. I don't drink, and i don't know if this is bad, but if he likes beer, you can get him a home brewery. Maybe you can start a special savings account for the vacation you guys are going to take when the baby is old enough, he'd like that. If i can be of any more help, just ask.

My brother in law & sis in law had a 'diaper party' for my husband. How it worked was that each guy was assigned a size of diapers to bring ( so there weren't too many or few of same size) & the diapers were the admission ticket so to speak for the party. They ate & watched football, played card & of course drank. Some guys must have had smart wives bcus some even brought baby wipes too! Whatever you decide- good luck & have fun.

ooo! What a cool idea! A Daddy Shower! I love it! Aaaand, you can probably get some things YOU want, too, under the ospice of stuff for HIM! Sneaky, eh? So here are some ideas that are coming to mind:
A diaper bag that is more masculine, so he won't feel weird carrying it
Gift certificates to restaurants that have good delivery
Baby bottles and swaddling blankets so he can take part in feeding, too
Everyone can just bring a package of diapers, even - you can always use those!
A medical or hygiene kit for baby
Shelves to build for the baby's room

I have heard of a diaper shower for dads ... basically u plan a football party at your place for all his friends and they each have to bring a pack of diapers! Kinda like a super bowl party- food and the works! But make it a suprise!

Daddy's shower! What a great idea! There are some cool outfits that say "I love my daddy", Walker that looks like a car (look it up on www.amazon.com and type in search box 'walker"), cool toys and books about dads, hehe. get the cake that says Can't wait to meet my daddy or something like that ;)
