BIRTH STORY
Okay, DAMIANI is here!!!! What an experience. On Sunday, October 21 I went as scheduled to the hospital around 7pm to be enduced the following morning. As soon as we arrived we were treated so professionally and with sincere care. We saw our Birth Room and it was so big and modern; my hubby just loved it. We settled in, I took a shower and changed into the hospital gown and the nurse placed the monitors on me and we basically relaxed for the rest of the night; I was also given a a sleeping pill so I could get a good night sleep.
They woke me up at around 5 a.m; I took another shower and got ready for whatever was going to take place. At around 6 a.m. they began the Pitocin and it was time to relax from there. At around 8 a.m. my doctor came in to check if I had dialated and I was at 3 cm; once he left the nurse asked if I was going to get an Epidural and I said "of course"; so around 9:45am I was given "the good stuff" and after that I just napped only being interrupted by the nurses who continued to monitor me & baby and shift me from side to side. I kept drinking water and eating ice chips. My hubby was resting as well and working on homework. It was really nice to be there and just talk. We continued to wait for anything to happen we figured we would be done by noon. But it was 2:45pm when we finally started seeing some action: I informed the nurse that I was feeling a sharp pain and she stated that she would call the anesthesiologist, but she must have forgotten because the next shift nurse came in and introduced herself again (she was the same one from the previous night) she stated she was surprised to see us still there and that she had never had this happen before. Well she started messing with the monitors and I felt a tightning in my belly and then a sensation to go #2 (I know TMI), but that is how it felt, we then saw immediately how the baby's heartrate went really low; she then quickly shifted me to my other side and asked me what I was feeling; she then asked my hubby to assist her since my legs were completely numb and she then stated "I can see the baby's head"; so she told me not to push (thank God I never had the sensation to push). The nurse went to get my doctor and he confirmed that it was time to have this baby, they worked quick and got me ready. Now at this point she asked, do you remember how to push? And I totally froze, really I did not remember at all; but she quickly told me what to do. I pushed twice and the doctor said okay "he is almost here" that is when I said to myself "that is what they tell everyone" but Praise God it took but a total of 3 pushes and Damiani was born. I thank God for such a wonderful experience, I continued to look at my hubby because I could not believe it was all over; it was like is this really happening? I pray that you ladies have a beautiful delivery experience. I will post pics as soon as I can. Many, many blessing to everyone. Here are his stats: Born October 22 at 3:23p.m; 7 lbs 11ozs and 20.5 inches. He has a full head of hair (I see why I had so much HEARTBURN!!!) Also I am breastfeeding but that is a whole different adventure; but he is so worth it. :)
UPDATES

Update: Damiani is a month and 4 days old. It is such a blessing to have him. I have finally posted pictures!!!
I am still trying to figure out how to juggle so many things but it is a learning experience everyday. I must say I am enjoying being at home with him and trying to get some rest. He wakes up at 12 and at 4am; I am praying that by the time I go back in January he will be on a better schedule. I am scheduling to meet with his sitter within the next few weeks; I will update on how that goes. Congrats to all the ladies who have had their little ones... :) I need to go to bed; many blessing to everyone!!!

HAPPY NEW YEAR to everyone! I must say its been an awesome time staying at home with Damiani. I am headed back to work next week and although I have mixed feelings of going back, I think I have trully taken advantaged of these last 11 weeks. My mother in law will be staying with us for 4 weeks to care for Damiani and afterwards he will be going to the sitter's. His sitter Ms. Debra takes care of a very limited amount of children at her home (which so happens to be across the street from my older son's elementary school). She does not allow the children to watch t.v. and that is great in my opinion! She plays classical & soothing music all day while the children are there, I know Damiani is going to adapt well. I plan on sending books for her to read to him and other activities, I am a little worried that she might spoil him; according to my friend that referred her to me, Ms. Debra spoiled her little one which she's cared for since he was 6 weeks old. But even if that happens it will be a sign of someone who cares and that is the important thing after all.
Damiani is almost 3 months now and is just a little butter ball weighing in at 13 lbs and 7 ozs. He smiles and is trying to talk, his favorite toy is his "carry along, Leap Frog" it sings the ABC's and as soon as he sees it he gets all cheesy. He is sleeping so very well at night and that is such a Blessing! He is drinking 6 ozs of milk average every 3 1/2 to 4 hours during the day. He still has his pacifier although he is not as dependant on it as before; and he is "teething" already (bottom 2 teeth), we found out a few days before New Years, and he now likes to suck on his fist during the day when he is day dreaming and looking at the ceiling :). Hope all you mommies & soon to be mommies are doing great! Take good care of yourselves and your babies, I am going back to bed... :0 Be Blessed.

Time to catch up- Damiani is 5 months old already!!!
He rolled over for the first time this last Saturday; I was so happy that he did it at home and not at the sitters. :) He is an excellent baby, although he is getting spoiled with the sitter and now he prefers to be held to fall asleep; but I see it as more time to cuddle with him.
But he is so alert. He is complaining now when something falls out of his reach. He is doing the "feet thing"; its so cute to hear him groaning, after he has been fed, when reaching for those toes.
At last months check up he was at 15.7 lbs; but has been getting much heavier since. He is enjoying his veggies and rice cereal; Damiani is even trying to feed himself and I try and catch him before he makes a bigger mess.
Armani has been very helpful and does so much for his baby brother. All in all we are just having a blast with him. I will post pics very soon.

Damiani is now 6 months old! Really where does the time go?
He went for his checkup on Monday and is weighing in at 19.05 lbs. Looks like all is well and that makes us happy of course. Unfortunately he did get 5 more shots and this time I was there to witness it, I had never heard him cry like that. He had a slight fever aftewards but is right back to his babbling and playing with whatever he can get his hands on. Right now he is beginning to rock back and forward when he is sitting until he falls back and every now and then when there is music on he will shake his right leg and it looks like he is doing a dance.
Gotta run now. Have a blessed time with your babies and with your pregnancies and those trying to conceive keep believing.

So many things happening with my little one. He is teething and has his two bottom ones showing. Giggling has become quite a fascination for him; he will look at anything and do this "fake" giggle; its hilarious. Also he has said his very first word and now he just keeps repeating it all day long; and I am loving it. Oh, big milestone: NO MORE PACI....We did it 2 weeks ago and he did wonderfully; okay I might still have some circles under my eyes; but I honestly wish we had done it sooner; it wasn't as bad as I had thought it would be. Thank God!

Damiani is just a ham, he weighed in at 21 lbs. two weeks ago. He is loving his foods Veggies & Fruits; he prefers Gerber Organic, the regular one didn't sit well with his tummy. He has not started crawling yet; but is constantly rolling all over the place and is trying and many times succeding to sit when he is laying on his back. He is still doing great at night. We give him his last bottle around 9:30-10:00 pm and he is asleep until 7:00 or sometimes even 8:00am. His hair has grown so long and is totally curly and he is just a cutie. Everyone at home is enjoying him. We have grandma staying with us for the summer and she is totally loving it and so are we. Take care Ladies...

Damiani is almost ready to crawl... Also last Saturday we got him his very first haircut (I've posted pics), he looks so grown. I am really enjoying this stage. Funny thing happened on Sunday at church; we normally take him to the nursery but it was full so we had him with us for the whole service. My mother in law is with us during the summer, (it's a Good Thing), so she was with us when Damiani started going for the hairpiece of the lady sitting in front of us. My mother in law just kept on pulling him back but he kept going forward trying his best to reach his goal, of course all I could do was join my mother in law and giggle with her... Kids are really so much fun!

He is CRAWLING!! Started crawling this Monday, now he is all over the place. I also gave him his first "organic bisquit"; he loves it and just was content sucking on it. Grandma goes back to Florida in 3 weeks we are going to miss her ALOTTTTTT!!!!
