October 22, 2007- Today @ our Doctor's visit we found out what we are having. A little Boy!!!! :) The ultrasound tech told us we probably wouldn't be able to find out the sex this ultrasound because I was only 18 weeks. She likes to wait until 20 weeks to make sure of the sex. So we were a little disappointed! But she decided to venture down to the area that would determine our baby's sex. My baby had his knees bent and he was covering his little area...but we think he wanted us to know because all of a sudden he started to move and kick his legs. The ultrasound tech said, "This baby must want you guys to know what he is" and sure enough he opened his legs and we got a clear view @ his scrotem and penis! IT'S A BOY! Tears feel from my eyes...excited about the news, shocked it wasn't a girl (hehe) and a moment of my father all went through my mind! My baby is due 3 days after my father's birthday (March 21st). My due date is March 24th! My father passed away a little over a year ago...this child is truly a gift from God and my father! I wouldn't have it any other way! So I guess it's time to get used to saying "I have TWO sons!" More boys to take care of their mom! I can't wait for my little Christopher John! Here's to a safe continuing pregnancy! God Bless.
It's a Boy!

a baby is something you carry inside you
for nine months
in your arms for 3 years
and in your heart until the day you die
December 22, 2007- My lil Chris is moving a lot inside me these days. It's so exciting because his daddy and big brother have been able to feel him kick and move. We are all excited these days and are getting ready to welcome Christopher into our family. These days with the pregnancy...feeling irritated very easily and short temper. I get sensitive and cry easy. Feeling fat, unattractive, and miss shopping for regular clothes. It seems as if I've been pregnant forever.
What we are doing to prepare for baby? We have registered for our baby shower in January. Reading material on breast feeding. Buying diapers to stock up for baby...and getting excited yet scared for labor. Been through it before...but it's been 12yrs! I can't wait to have my baby boy!
March 26, 2008- My little bundle of joy was welcomed into the world on this day. After going into the hospital the night before @ 7pm for induction, and back and forth decisions of natural and ceserean...my baby Chris was finally here @ 3:36pm. It all started @ 6am on Wednesday morning. Doctor and nurse started my labor and I waited excited to see how this whole process was going to turn out. I started off @ 1 and an hour later I was a 2. The doctor pushed me to a 3 an hour later and broke my water @ the same time. We then realized the baby had used the restroom inside me. With precaution, we decided to still go natural. An hour later, about 10am...doctor decided I wasn't progressing fast enough. I had already gotten an epidural to speed up the pain meds...but will still @ a 3 :( So doctor decided to prep me for a ceserean. They turned off the meds and I layed their upset, not want a ceserean (I had my first son natural). When nurse came in to get me ready for surgery, she decided to check me once more. I was @ a 4, which ment my labor was progressing on its own. The nurse convinced the doctor to wait and see if I would go natural. So now I was back to having him natural. I went from 4 to 7 to 10 in a matter of 2hrs. No pain @ all. @ noon I was ready to push!!!! I pushed for a hour and a half. My lil mans head was turned slightly and was hitting a bone, he wasn't able to come out :( So Cesearen here I come again!!! I was brought into surgery @ 3 and by 3:36 my little boy was here! 8lbs 14oz. BIG BOY! My first was a 6lb baby. We couldn't have been any happier!
