Kia ora!
A little background...
Thanks for visiting my page. This is my second pregnancy this year, the first one ending with a miscarriage on Febryary 19th. If anything, that expereicne showed me that I am a strong individual and that the relationship I have with my husband is strong, sacred and can endure all tests that is placed before us. One AF after that horrific experience here I am again, on the pregnancy rollercoaster again and loving every minute of it… well, I could do without the constant nausea!
That is one of the reasons I believe that this pregnancy is different from the first and that, God willing, the outcome will also be different. I didn’t feel pregnant before, no symptoms, no sign other than a missed period and a positive sign on a HPT. Now, it is completely different. Feeling ill, constantly tired, sore bb’s and at 8 weeks an HCG level of 89,526. According to my Doctor, everything is going well!
May 30, 2008 – My 33rd birthday...
What a milestone, 33 years young today. My day started with presents from my loving hubby and an announcement that he was taking the day of work to spend with me! I am a firm believer that no one should work on their birthday! So hubby and I had a leisurely breakfast, and then made our way into town to go to a movie. The weather here is cooling down quite quickly so it was a nice way to spend the afternoon. We went to see the new Indiana Jones movie and followed that up with a yummy lunch out.
All through the day, the nausea was ebbing, but reared its head that evening and drove me to bed early. Why do they call it morning sickness when it can hit you at any time of the day? I kept thinking throughout the day that next birthday, I’ll be a mum with a little one to share the day with. How cool is that!

Morning sickness is a gip! Yes thats right you heard me, a gip. I am OVER it. I know that it is a direct result of the hormone in my body that is helping develop the treasured Butterbean, currently swimming around in my uterus, and I am more thankful for that than I can say. But I would like to know, what having a laugh son of a gun called it morning sickness, when it lasts all day?
I spend my time at home, in the office, driving to work, walking around the supermarket, wherever I am, fighting off the nausea. Trying to act as if I am not so balanced on the verge of tossing my lunch up over my laptop each day at work. It is very difficult to keep these things secret, and smile my way through it all.
Sorry for the griping - it has been one of those days!

Well, a HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY to all of you in the US of A. Today in Wellington New Zealand the weather has packed a sad and it is cold, grey and windy outside as winter wraps it's arms around us all in earnest. So my little dancing penguins are quite apt... when the weather heats up I may try to find some with hawaiian shirts on!
Just checking in to let you all now that the morning/constant sickness has ebbed away to just every now and then and I have my appetite back. My waistline is disappearing (not that I had much of one in the first place!) and hubby and I are off to a movie tonight. So all is well in my world. Enjoy the weekend I hope that everyone is healthy happy and doing well.
