September 1, 2007-We are so excited about our edition, including everyone in the family, that we are now looking for a bigger house to settle into. May the search begin.

September 5, 2007- The all day sickness has begun. Its awful! So much worse with this pregnancy. I am trying everything that everyone is telling me to do. Nothing seems to help. The doctor called in phenagran suppositories...and that was a big NOPE DIDNT WORK EITHER. Im just lucky I guess :(

September 6, 2007- Big Brother Mason's 4th Birthday :)

September 24, 2007 Dr. App. 10:00 am (9weeks +1day)
-weighed: 198 lbs (lost 7 lbs)
-bp: 134/88
-urine: neg
-EDD: May 1, 2008 (calculated by LMP)
-EDC: August 7, 2007
-FHT: not heard yet :(
Doctor couldnt do much because we are so early. We just discussed that this would probably be a repeat c-section due to the complications from my first pregnancy.

September 30, 2007 ER 7:00 pm (10 weeks)
-I had severe tunnel vision, was very dizzy, vomiting alot, headache, and very fast heartbeat.
-bp: 175/115 (they kept doing orthostatic blood pressures this was the average)
-EKG: neg
-urine: neg
-bloodwork: showed moderate dehydration
-FHT: still not heard :(
In conclusion they gave me some fluids and said I had pregnancy induced hypertension (PIH) which was causing me to have vertigo, but at this point was not harming the baby. To call my ob in the morning.

October 3, 2007 Dr. App. 9:40 am (10weeks +3days)
-bp: 140/116
-urine: neg
-FHT: not heard
Dr. agreed with the PIH diagnosis and started me on a blood pressure pill called labetalol.

Oct. 5, 2007 (10weeks + 5days)

October 22, 2007
Ultrasound 10:30 am & Dr. App. 10:50 am (13weeks +1day)
-in the room: me, Brandon, and his mom.
-FHT: 162 bpm :)
-Length: 3 inches
-EDD: April 27, 2008 (by U/S)
The baby was very mellow in this ultrasound and pretty much stayed in the same position the whole time. The baby had its arms crossed behind its head and feet crossed at the ankles. It looked like it was swaying in a hammock. :) PerFecTion :)

Full body with ankles crossed :) You can see the bones

Continue to the Dr. App. . . . .
-weighed: 195 lbs (down 3 lbs)
-bp: 118/84 (meds are working)
-urine: neg
-FHT: 162 bpm (by doppler)
Everything looking good, mostly the blood pressure :) We did all my prenatal labwork today, it all came back great :)

Nov. 12, 2007 (16weeks + 1day)

November 12, 2007-I am for sure I felt the baby move at work :)

November 19, 2007
Dr. App. 10:40 am (17weeks + 1day)
-weighed: 199 lbs (up 4 lbs)
-bp: 142/90
-urine: neg
-FHT: 157 bpm
Thanksgiving dinner yesterday may have helped my weight for today :) My stomach has gotten extremely bigger these past 4 weeks. Dr. said we will keep watching my blood pressure, right now its just boderline. The heartbeat was so much stronger this time. Brandon said it sounded like a freight train.

November 24, 2007-Brandon felt the baby move for the first time :)

Dec. 17, 2007 (21weeks +1day)

December 27, 2007 Ultrasound 10:00 am & Dr. App. 10:40 am (22weeks + 4days)
-in the room: me, Brandon, my mom and my sister
-FHT: 150 bpm
-weight: 1 lb 3 oz (55th percentile)
-EDD: April 23, 2008 (by u/s)
Baby was already head down in a vertical position facing my backbone. We got to see brain function, the 3 vessel cord, diaphragm, etc. You could see hair and see the baby sucking on its fingers. Because of the positioning of the baby we weren't able to see the spine and parts of the heart that they wanted to see. They will schedule another scan. But guess what we did see. . . .

Well thats self explanatory :)

Face Shots :) 3d and 2d Say hello to SEAN NICHOLAS

Some arms and hands and some legs and toes :)

Continue to the Dr. App. . . .
-weighed: 204 lbs (up 5 lbs)
-bp: 140/90
-urine: neg
-FHT: 150 bpm (by doppler)
The Dr. stated that since my blood pressure has been consistently higher than it should be another scan would of been inevitable. Because when your blood pressure is elevated and your blood vessels are constricted blood and nutrients don't flow as easily. By doing another scan we will make sure the baby is growing the way he should be :)

January 21, 2008- Daddy turned 26 years old! :)

Jan. 22, 2008 (26weeks +2days)

January 30, 2008 Dr. App. 10:10 (27 weeks + 3days)
-weighed: 209 lbs (up 5 lbs)
-bp: 120/80
-urine: neg
-FHT: 144 bpm (by doppler)
-GD: 93 passed :)
I had to arrive early to do the gestational diabetes test AHHH! I had to drink this highly sugary orange koolaid stuff in 5 minutes. Than I had to wait an hour and they would draw my blood to see if I passed. The stuff made me dizzy and feel pretty funny, but they said it was normal. Results: 93----I PASSED woohoo :) The Dr. said my uterus was measuring about 28 weeks. Because of the frequent contractions I have been having already they are moving my appointments to every 2 weeks now. I also discussed with the Dr. that baby Sean always stays on my right side. She said its his comfy spot and its absolutely normal.

February 9, 2008- Moved into new house! WooHoo :)

February 11, 2008 -Mommy turned 25 years old! :)

February 13, 2008 Ultrasound 10:30 am & Dr. App. 11:10 am (29weeks + 3days)
-in the room: me and Brandon
-FHT: 132 bpm
-weight: 2 lbs 6 oz
-EDD: April 27, 2008
Believe it or not baby Sean was in the exact same difficult position that he was in in our last ultrasound. Ha Ha! Being difficult already. He looks perfect and we double checked, he is for sure :) It was hard but they got to see the parts they didn't get to see last time, him being bigger helped.

Awesome Face shots with his little hand and long fingers on his chin

Sean Nicholas . . . . Look at those little pouty lips :)

Beautiful Profile and oh Yes still a boy :)

Continue to Dr. App. . . .
-weighed: 214 lbs (up 6 lbs)
-bp: 136/86
-urine: neg
-FHT: 132 bpm
-EDD: April 27, 2008 (Dr. took due date in the middle)
The Dr. let me know that there was no way possible he was going to approve me to have a VBAC. I have a funnel pelvis and I am just not made to deliver babies. It was disappointing, but at the same time I knew it was coming. He wants to schedule my c-section around April 15. He told us to go home and think about it. I also found out that all the trouble I am having out of my right arm is common in pregnancies. My middle, ring, and pinky finger tips are asleep all the time and my arm is not working as it should. It falls asleep alot while im sleeping or doing anything at that matter. He said its pregnancy induced carpal tunnel syndrome and it will go away after the baby is born. Its all the excess fluid in my arms squeezing on my nerve endings. I have actually gained alot of water weight, you can tell in my hands and arms and face. I am supposed to be checking my blood pressure at home now and I should call if it gets any higher than 150s over 90s.

February 27, 2008 Dr. App. 9:30 am (31weeks + 3days)
-weighed: 218 lbs (up 3 lbs)
-bp: 130/90
-urine: neg
-FHT: 135 bpm
Dr. said that baby Sean is still head down in the same position. Our c-section has been scheduled for April 14th, no time yet. My blood pressure is concerning him some and said we will take everything weekly.

Feb. 28, 2008 (31weeks + 4days)

March 2, 2008- My friends at work gave me no choice and threw me a baby shower for baby Sean. They said its been about 5 years since I had my first son and that I needed another one. Besides this is Brandon's first baby. We had a blast. Can you believe it took 13 sheets of toilet paper to fit around my stomach. lol

Polka dots and footprints! I loved the theme

March 11, 2008- I have been feeling icky since this weekend (couldnt have been the 15 inches of snow we got) but finally decided after waking up barely able to get out of the bed this morning that I needed to head to the doctor. So I went. They said I had an acute sinus infection which is causing my asthma to act up (not to mention I cant breathe anyway cause Seans feet are in my lungs lol) plus I have a double ear infection. They put me on an antibiotic thats safe. I feel so bad for Sean though cause every time I cough I feel him jump and I know im scaring him to death. Poor baby :(

March 12, 2008- Dr. App. 1:30 pm (33weeks + 3days)
-weighed: 220.5 lbs (up 2.5 lbs)
-bp: 148/88
-urine: neg
-FHT: 150 bpm
Dr. said we will know the exact time of the c-section probably next time we come in, but it will most likely be early in the morning. Not too concerned about by bp cause it is staying pretty much the same. Im measuring just a little ahead at 34 weeks. She also thinks Sean has dropped into the launch position lol. This has caused me already to be dialated .5 - 1 cm. The ultimate question is will he hang on until his birthday. :) The Dr. also said my legs are pretty swollen that they are squishy...lol Well I get an ultrasound at my next appointment to check on Seans weight. I cant wait :)

Mar. 21, 2008 (34weeks + 5days)

March 21, 2008- So today I did something I swore I would be extremely careful about and never do. I FELL getting out of the bathtub. DUH! I felt like such a tard. I really only banged up my knee though. But than I had timable painful contractions for a good hour, as soon as the panic set in, they stopped. Whew!
Taking a peaceful QUIET bubblebath - ($4.00 for bath and bodyworks),
Jumping out to let your four year old in so he can do the #2 - ($6.00 for a pack of underwear),
Having your fiance run in on you trying to balance you and your belly in all your nakedness - (PRICELESS)

March 25, 2008- So its happened. I have finally pushed my body to its limits. Of course I didnt think it would happen this time because my first baby hung on to my ribs and refused to come out. Little Sean here, well, lets just say he started screaming that he was done today. I had contractions all day long. My doctor has taken me off work until he comes. He wants me to hit 37 weeks at least. I just wanna make sure his little lungs are ready. I go back to the dr on Friday. I also have this nasty side of effect of pregnancy in the lower half of my legs called pitting adema. Its Gross! If I push in on my legs it leaves an indention for a couple minutes, damn fluid retention.

March 28, 2008- Ultrasound 10:00 am & Dr App 10:20 am (35weeks + 5days)
-in the room: me and Brandon
-FHT: 133 bpm
-weight: 6 lbs 11oz (79th percentile) :)
-position: completely engaged *launch position*
Baby Sean has gotten so big and he is not little anymore, but now above average. When we started the ultrasound the very first thing he did was flash us what he has. SHOW OFF! lol They did all his measurements today, he looks to be a good size if he comes early like he wants too, which made the doctors happy. Since he is so big, it was hard to get good pictures. Plus his head is so low in my pelvis we really couldnt even see his face :( BEIN SNEAKY! He had a hand in his face (always) and today his foot also! (silly boy) No good pictures to post though.

On to the Dr. visit. . . .
-weighed: 221 lbs (up .5 lbs) for a total of 17 so far :)
-bp: 147/84
-urine: trace protein
-FHT: 133 bpm

-dialated: 2cm!!
-effaced: 50 percent!!

So today the doctor discussed the time for our scheduled section will be 12:30. Which means we wont have to get up early...lol That makes daddy happy. Sean has dropped even lower and no one is sure if we are gonna make it to our date. My contractions are obviously doin quite a bit. So it could happen any day. WOW! They also did the group B strep test I will find the results out to that next week. I didn't have it with my first so I dont expect it this time.

April 3, 2008- Starting at 8:00 pm I started having contractions about 6 minutes apart. Some of them hurting pretty bad, some of them just cramping, and others not really hurting at all just a little uncomfortable. We timed them until a little after 11:00 pm. I was about to go to the hospital, but we had some really bad storms hit and I didn't think we should be driving in it. I decided to try and go to bed and if it was TRUE labor it would get worse. Also I had a doctors appointment in the morning so I was not too concerned. I finally fell asleep about 2:00 am. At 5:00 am the contractions woke me up and I knew something was going on. I got in the tub and tried to relax. Didn't really help I just whined in the tub lol. But I held on until my doctors appointment.

April 4, 2008- Dr App 9:50 am (36weeks + 5days)
-weighed: 224 lbs (up 3 lbs) for a total of 20 :)
-bp: 159/103 (was having contractions though, pain induced)
-urine: trace protein
-FHT: 135 bpm
-GBS: positive (i had to get antibiotics anyway cause of the section)
-dialated: 2cm STILL
-effaced: 75 PERCENT!!
The doctor said that since I was having painful contractions and my effacement had changed that she was sending me to the hospital to be observed and that if I dialated anymore we would be having a baby today. So i was so excited.

on to the HOSPITAL . . .
I get to the hospital at 11:30 am and they hook me up to everything. I had contractions the whole time about 2-3 minutes apart and the pain was just like the night before. Some really hurt and some weren't so bad. They watched me until about 2:30 pm and then came in to check me. I WAS STILL 2cm!! So guess what they did? Sent me home..lol Told me that I was in labor but until there was a change in my cervix it was not considered ACTIVE. (REMEMBER IM A SCHEDULED SECTION, SO I WAS UNDER THE IMPRESSION THEY DIDN'T WANT ME TO GO INTO ACTIVE LABOR, BUT I GUESS I WAS WRONG)
They told me to come back when it felt different. (whatever that means...lol)

April 5, 2008- So its 1:00 pm and I am STILL having contractions. Do I feel different than yesterday? not much. So Im about to go hit the steps and do some jumping jacks or something. I won't be able to handle these contractions like this until my scheduled day. PLEASE PLEASE WISH ME LUCK!
1:30-
started walking and walking around the house (chasing my 4 year old also)
3:05- I think I have just lost part of my mucus plug!! sorry TMI (I hope this means something)
5:30- contractions are a little harder, im a little crankier. So im going to my moms for dinner to try and
get my mind off things for a while. Im thinking things look good!!
9:00- so im still under the impression the only reason they didn't deliver me on friday was because I was still considered pre-term. I will be 37 weeks tomorrow. If im still hurting I will probably go back and get checked. Me and Brandon did some speed walking (to the best of my abilities) around my moms neighborhood. I actually tried to jog a little. This is getting old fast. My moms comment of the night was "you have an irritable uterus". Well let me tell you thats not the only thing! :(

Apr. 6, 2008 (37weeks)

April 6, 2008- Woke up at 5:30 with contractions that were Awful. They continued to be awful and give me nothing but pressure until 6:30. Then they just kind of settled down again. :( FALSE LABOR SUCKS I have still had contractions throughout the day, but they get better within an hour. I go back to the doctor on Tuesday. I am just praying for that centimeter. I don't think Sean can get any lower. NONE of my shirts are long enough anymore as you can see above. I almost don't wanna sit in a hard chair, I feel like I will hit his head lol. Sigh . . .

April 7, 2008- Still Pregnant!! So after having another miserable night of these off and on hardcore contractions I went to the grocery store on a rampage. I have heard alot about this raspberry leaf tea helping induce labor when your cervix is already soft and your uterus is ready. So guess what I have been drinking all day? Trust me alot better with ice than hot. My contractions have actually gotten a little more consistent and a little rougher. Whether its the tea or its all psychosomatic, I dunno? Doctors appointment tomorrow afternoon. Ill find out then I guess ha ha! I think this is Sean's way of telling me he wants to pick his own birthday.

April 8, 2008- LAST Dr App. 1:40 pm (37weeks + 2days)
-weighed: 225 lbs (up 1 lb) total of 21 :)
-bp: 155/91
-urine: trace protein
-FHT: 133 bpm
-dialated: 2.5 CM!!
-effaced: 100 PERCENT!!
So I pretty much came to the conclusion that my doctor is a masochist. He enjoys my pain..lol Even though I was having active contractions in the office in front of him, my labor was JUST NOT GOOD ENOUGH. He really wants me to make it to the 38 week mark, which is Sunday. My section is scheduled for Monday. So he pretty much said SUCK IT UP (hence he is a man, so he knows the pain "rolls eyes") and Ill see you Monday. So Im kind of depressed, but I want Seans lungs to be the best they can be :) I will go through this pain a little longer, but only cause I love him :)

April 9, 2008- Today has been awful! I was so tired today that I couldn't get anything done. I seriously slept all day. Then I still had to force myself to get up. Sean has been up to no good today. He has figured out a new position to lay in and i don't like it at all. Through my whole pregnancy the lil man has maybe kicked my rib once, but today he was testing me I think. He wasn't actually kicking my ribs as much as he was just resting on them. lol Then tonight starting at like 6:30 the hardcore contractions started again for about 2 1/2 hours. They were bad enough that tears were coming out of my eyes. Than they just disappeared. WTF? I don't understand. Ha Ha jokes on me I guess. So its a little after midnight and as of right now I am still having some pretty painful ones. Does it mean anything? I DONT KNOW ANYMORE? I am so confused..lol I guess if it's something I will need to worry about it will just get worse.....sigh. My frustration level is out the roof!

April 12, 2008- Still miserable ::sigh:: Today is Thunder Over Louisville!! The biggest firework show we have here and I will be watching it from the front row seats on the comfort of my couch. But besides the fireworks, let me tell you how my morning went first. Just because you have already had one kid don't think you know everything, because embarrassment is just around the corner. :) So starting yesterday day I noticed I was leaking "downstairs a little" it was enough that I had to change. I didn't think much about it until I woke up this morning and it happened again, quite a bit. So I thought "OMG I'm leaking amniotic fluid". I called the doctor and he told me to go to the L&D. So I go. I get there and they use the paper to test the fluid and it was a BIG O FAT NEGATIVE. So the nurse said I'll give you 30 minutes and see what happens as she hooked me up to everything. Well it was very uneventful except for the few good contractions I had on the screen. She tested me again and it was NEGATIVE, "of course it was". So i was POSITIVELY urinating on myself. I was sure I was not, but obviously you don't always know when you pee on yourself. As I was checking out of L&D I did get to feeling a little better, because the other two girls who were checked in when I was were on their way home for peeing on thereselves too. It must of been in the water...lol ****Helpful Hint**** When asking for advice when you think you could be leaking amniotic fluid, when someone tells you to SMELL IT.....::whispers:: it doesn't work lol

April 13, 2008
- So tomorrow morning I go to the hospital for my scheduled section. Who thought I was gonna make it to this day?? I really didn't. But this whole pregnancy has been a rollercoaster. I am nervous, but excited that it is finally time. I'm ready to meet my lil man and fall in love all over again. I can't eat or drink anything after midnight so I am going to go get my fill one last time. Wish me luck . . . its ALL or NOTHING :)

April 14, 2008- We arrived at the hospital at 10:30 am and I was not nervous at all. We checked in and I got suited up and hooked up to everything. The waiting game began. . . unfortunately they had an emergency and they were running behind so the anticipation just kept building. They brought in "the get up" for Brandon to put on so I took advantage of the situation and took pictures. In good turn he flipped it around on me and took one of me as the nervousness started to set in.

He kept pretending to be the doctor :) Im so swollen. Cant you see my nerves?

So in the process of waiting my brother calls me and he has some how managed to get lost at the hospital. He finally found labor and delivery and I got to see him, my dad, my step-mom, Brandons dad, mom, and grandma. It helped some. Unfortunately my mother couldn't be there, Im not gonna lie, I NEEDED HER. Besides Brandon she understands me more than anyone. My oldest son was having a situation and they called her to come get him from school so she couldn't be there ::tears::

At 1:15 pm the nurse came in and said 5 minutes!! I had to drink this nasty stuff before I could go back to neutralize the acid in my stomach. I kept trying to breathe and I noticed Brandon turned every shade of white and grey. He sat down. I thought he was gonna pass out and so did he. She then turned and said that my doctor had the fastest scalpel in Louisville, that he did the fastest C-sections in the city. Which lightened the mood.

At 1:20 pm I walked to the operating room and they gave me a spinal.(Which took effect a lot quicker than I thought it would, or I would have cherished every movement Sean made those last couple minutes :( ) I was numb and they brought Brandon back in.

At 1:32 pm they made the first cut. I was concentrating on breathing when I looked up at the ceiling and I realized I could see the reflection of my surgery in one of those huge lights. I said "OMG Brandon I can see what they are doing?" But I didn't freak out I was in amazement. It was like I was watching a show on tv almost. They told me as long as I stayed calm I could keep watching. This was a blessing.

At 1:36 pm my doctor told me I had a severe amount of scar tissue and he couldnt even believe how easy I got pregnant with Sean. ( i have had 2 prior lower abdominal surgeries, plus I get rupturing cysts on my ovaries) What he didnt know was that it took a year, it wasnt easy. He told me more pregnancies may be hard and I really needed to limit my amount of children. Which was sad even though I already have been blessed with 2 angels.

At 1:39 pm they started pushing up towards my ribs and I saw Seans head come out my incision. (It looked huge in that angled light) I yelled for Brandon to look. As they pulled him out he started crying and my tears over powered me. I was crying so hard they kept asking if I was hurting, but I was just happy. I got one quick peak at him and they took him to be cleaned. I remember saying "Oh, he is huge!" (The doctors said he was only supposed to be about 7 pounds)

The verdict was in . . . my supposed underweight baby was huge!
8 pounds 9 ounces
19.5 inches long
Short and Chunky :) Goes to show doctors are not always right and neither are ultrasounds lol

Thank you so much for the comment and support. Since my left side isn't functional for me to get pregnant I won't know which month I can actually TTC and which month is a wasted month. We finally BD'd last night and this morning. My husband was a little nervous since it has only been 3 weeks since my operation. We will probably BD again tonight LOL. Its just that it has been so long now that I want it! How are you and your little bundle of joy?

Hehe I know!! My parents are both very happy and excited. It's definitely cool that our babies will be the same age but only a few months apart, so I will always be able to relate to what our children are going through as they get older. I can't wait. :)

Awww. I know that you must love them to pieces. I can't wait until my baby boy gets here. I've had a very long and difficult pregnancy and I just want him to get her happy and healthy. I have a question if you don't mind answering. Did you choose to get your sons circumsized? I'm still debating on whether or not to do it.

Yeah I can understand that. Was it hard for you to go from 1 child to 2? Is parenting really as hard as everyone makes it out to be? I don't know what to expect when my baby gets here. Everyone always says "Oh, it's so hard" but, if thats true why are people popping out babies left and right? Lol
