Christopher Kekoa ka 'Ahu 'ula-O-Kalani nui Mehameha Mitchell was born on Sunday November 4th at 1:27pm! He weighed 8lbs 11oz and was 20.5in long. He is my perfect little boy. It is so amazing I have never seen a more sweet little child then Kekoa. He never cries which I know will change but for the time being he is perfect. He sleeps about 22 hours a day which I know is insane. We have to set an alarm to wake him for night time feedings. Because he was born by c-section my milk is having problems coming in so right now we are having problems latching him and having to suppliment with formula and pumping. I feel like I pump all the time just for him to drain it. It is a good cause though. My sweet angel is well worth the cause.

4 months old!! I can't believe it is already spring time. My little boy is growing so fast. As for breastfeeding, we beat the odds. He is now only on breastmilk with two bottles a day at day care. It is such a wonderful feeling to accomplish this feat. It was just a weak sucker at the beginning and needed time to grow. And that he is doing. He is trying to sit up and stand! We are going to his check up on Friday but last time I weighed him he is was 15lbs and 27in long. WOW! My big boy. I love him to death. Oh and he is still the sweet little angel. Only cries when he is hungry, tired or hurting. We all just got over the flu and poor little guy tried his hardest to be happy during it. We survived.

8Months Old! Time is flying so fast. I'm on here everyday but I never have time to update my profile. It's usually jump on and off. HAHA! So let's see. What has been going on? Christopher Kekoa turns 8months on the 4th of July. He is cruising like a pro and starting to let go of the furniture. He has two teeth and cutting the third. He's still an angel. He loves everyone and brightens all our lives. Ok, so babies think but what do they think about? With Kekoa it's weird. You look into his eyes and it seems like there is much more going on then a lot of babies his age. It's awesome watching him figure things out. We have one smart cookie on our hands. He is now over 20lbs now and just moved to his big boy seat. We bought the Britax Boulevard. It's a beast but it is the safest on the market right now and I love it! As for our biggest challenge, it's no more! We are still breastfeeding and going strong! He is eating solids like a pro although he doesn't have a big belly yet. He's saving room for his teen years. I'm still working but I am paying down debt and hopefully a little while after we buy a house I can quit. YAY! That is my #1 goal. I want to be a stay at home Mommy.....

This is Joe and I on our wedding day and our wedding party! The center lady in red was 8months pregnant with my nephew. The other two munchkins are mine three year old niece and nephew. How cute!

He is 7cm (2.8in.) long and has a heart beat of 168. And this is my three month belly!! Baby Mitchell at 11.5 weeksy shot.

Above are two of my 20week pictures. We are having a boy!! The photos are his profile and his little baby parts. Ahhh how cute! His weight is 13oz. and his heartbeat is 145bpm.

So you all asked...Here is my belly at 20weeks 2 days.

I finally took a 26week belly photo. Getting bigger!!

4D ultra sound at almost 29 weeks! I have so many pictures (60) it was so hard to choose ones to put up on the site but above is the first photo they took, before we woke him up. Next to it is a picture of him smiling after he woke up.

These two pictures are of Kekoa sucking his thump and yawning.

Well you must be excited for summer too! How much fenugreek do you take each day? I take 3 capsules 3 times a day, but my results are not as dramatic as yours!

Thanks for your post, I love your pic too, you look so serene!
Doing much better today, and so is bubs! My partner is home for a few days and he has been great, i just don't think he realised how stressed and tired I had become! He cleaned the house and cooked dinner last night. :P I love the name Kekoa, are you or your husband originally from Hawaii?

So ladies... yep, it's really ME! Here's a short version of THURSDAY... had the amnio around noon... went into labor around 6 p.m. (believe it or not, it was rather exciting since I have never experienced any of that before) Dr. came in and said, he wants to come out today, so let's let him show off alittle bit. So at 11:05 p.m. on the 20th, our sweet little man was born. I just got home hours ago, and will put up more pix later - but have added a few now as well. I LOVE YOU LADIES - YOU ARE ALL SIMPLY THE BEST. All my love! xoxoxoj

hi bri
i opened my own indoor playground when Amalie was just 10weeks old so i know that feeling of working and then coming home to work some more. I plan to make the food on my weekends and freeze some so that its ready just like the store bought food. Good luck to you Kasia Harris

Hey Bri. I saw your comment yesterday about possibly having thrush and saw that you mentioned that your son has a bad diaper rash from his antiobiotic. My daugther got thrush from antiobiotics and also got a terrible diaper rash out of the blue. We tried 'naked time' but that didn't even work. Turns out she had a yeast infection type of diaper rash that required special ointment. Perhaps thats what your son is dealing with???

Both me and my husband had real bad ear infections as children and I still get them now, so I was shocked when they didn't give her anything when they said her ears were full of fluid. My mom declined tubes for me as a kid but most of my family had gotten them. Thanks for the good wishes!

JenJen - Thursday, 13 Mar
At least your doctors do antibiotics and medications. I was really upset when they did not give Haylie anything. I mean she is 7 months old! Then they forced me to get her 4 shots from her 6 month appointment that we postponed because she was sick then too. Now my oldest daughter and I have whatever Haylie has and are all sick now too. I am not liking military doctors right now lol. Oh and to make things worse. I have a dentist appointment at 9am tomorrow morning and I can't breathe through my nose but I have waited months to get this appointment.....lol

I appreciate your feedback. I am glad someone else is in the same boat yet I wish the poor little babies weren't sick. Thanks again! :)

Wow, well I am right now in hawaii and when I came across your website I could see right away that his name was hawaiian, just because I live on Kamehameha highway,so I knew ;),which is close to mehameha.

sabsi - Wednesday, 12 Mar

Hello Bri ~ Thank you for our Get well wishes. As it turned out, I had the flu ON TOP of having Mastitis as well! Not sure if you are familiar with it, but IT STINKS!!! It hurts so bad and hurts the body too! It started on Wed and by Saturday night, I had to go to the ER because the Antibiotic wasn't working? So...they gave me a stronger one? Hopefully it will clear up soon! The baby had an ear infection but seems to be feeling better as well. Thank you for your concern! I am glad to hear you are all feeling better! I know how Men 'just can't' help! My husband just had foot surger 8 days ago and is layed up on the couch completely incapable of moving for like another week!!! It is the WORST thing in the world! I am trying to walk around, carring my sick baby while I am sick and taking care of my husband who needs Ice, drinks, medicine, the remote that fell...you name it and taking care our 2 older children as well, oh, not to mention the 2 dogs! Yeah....I got to rest a lot while I was sick! LOL I still feel blessed by the gifts god has given me! :) Your son is adorable and I love your main picture!!!

Hey sweetie. So good to hear from you and to see that everything is going so well for you and your little man. I can't believe it's already been 4 months... goodness time is flying by. He seems to be reaching a lot of great milestones now, which is so exciting to watch and to write down in a book. I am sure it's hard for you to go to work and all, I can't imagine being at work now with my girls and this new one coming. I feel extremely lucky. Only 14 days left for me - I can't wait anymore - everytrhing is pretty much ready for him to get here. Have a wonderful weekend - I hope the sun stays around here for alittle bit longer, the girls have been loving being outside. xoxoj

Hi :) she finally took the bottle!!! lol i had to just restrain myself and not nurse her and allowed my mother to feed her. Althogh i didnt give her the rice cereal then this last week the doctor told me she may have acid reflux. so the ped told me to add rice cereal because it helps. :( You baby is soo cute :) I had a c-section as well, did u have one by choice?

JenB23 - Saturday, 1 Mar
Hey thanks so much for your reply, i bought the fenugreek and have just taken my first dose so fingers crossed! i have been breastfeeding first and then topping up with milk right after, so he's having an oz of formula at every feed... hopefully i can go exclusive breast.. he's so much better on breast milk! Hope all is well with you thanks again!

Regarding SIDS...My daughter has sleep apnea (where she forgets to breath). She is on a monitor that is attached to her chest and if she stops breathing for 15 seconds an alarm goes off. Pretty similar to your angel care monitor except ours records her breathing pattern. Anyways getting to my point her doctor says that 3-4 months is the peak period for SIDS once they get past 6 months the risks decrease dramatically.

buttons - Tuesday, 26 Feb
Hey, just read you question on SIDS, the highest risk time is 2-4 months from what i have read. i got a monitor to and it helps me to relax when he sleeps. Your bub is lovely!

Ugh, I am in a HUGE fight with my in-laws. It is awful. My hubby and I are not speaking to them AT ALL! Which of course means that we have limited all ineraction with the kids and them. Trust me, what they did was HUGE! I would never want to hurt my children if it wasn't HUGE! It was good to get out today and go be with other humans. :-)

Awwww...your baby is so cute!!! Thx for your info regarding the nipple cream. Man, I feel like I just sat down in class and they they are handing out midterms...and no one told me there was an exam...yikes! SO much to learn!!!

MELISSAW. - Saturday, 9 Feb
Bri! Wow! Kekoa is way ahead for his age! Fantastic! Whatever you are doing, keep up the good work! I bet your first week back to work was hard. You will both be fine. I missed you, I am glad you are back online more. :-)

nikkin - Thursday, 7 Feb
hey how are you ?? i wish i could have just given my first daughter nothing more than milk for the first 6 months but believe me its impossible, she was very happy on it till she was 14 weeks and then she would wake every 3 or 4 hours for a feed of a 8oz bottle and still be hungry because unfortuantely the milk just wasnt filling her up, i hope it works for you, but my new daughter is going the same way i fear she is starting to wake up in the nite and i think i will have to start her on baby rice next week cos the sleepless nites are kicking in again - HELP !! x

MELISSAW. - Thursday, 7 Feb
Aww, Hun, it should get easier. I can imagine what your going through with the separation.

I just had my wisdom tooth removed a few hours ago. Thank goodness the Evan is sleeping well for me. I heard that there is a good chance I may be in more pain tomorrow vs. today. Ugh.

How is Chris dealing with the center? Did they say he was sleeping well or enjoyed the sound of others? Babies are such social creatures. Whenever mine is around kids, he is enchanted. :-) Anyway, it is good to see you back to the site more consistently. Hang in there. :-)

MELISSAW. - Thursday, 7 Feb
Hey lady. How are you? I read you are back at work. Does it feel weird? Or like you didn't miss a beat?

MELISSAW. - Saturday, 2 Feb
