new baby How`s my pregnancy doing? Nursing Bras at Nurtured Family

DaisypathNext Anniversary Ticker DaisypathAnniversary Years Ticker

We lost our first and are now trying for our second. Wish us luck!

April 2008

I had a HSG and Laparoscopy exam done. My doctor says the equipment all looks good. We’ll see what happens with the blood tests.

My blood tests came back and I received a positive ANA test. The doctor is starting me on Clomid this month as well as taking Robitussin when I ovulate. I also have to increase my folic acid vitamin to two a day to reduce my chances of another miscarriage. I have to continue taking the baby aspirin everyday as well as the prenatal vitamin. He also prescribed my DH some vitamins for his swimmers. Finally he has to do something :) I also started acupuncture this month to try and regulate my cycles. Hopefully all of these things will make a difference for the months to come.

I took an EPT test this morning and I got a very faint positive. I took another one when I came home from work and got the same result. Crazy me just took a digital Clearblue test and it came back PREGNANT!! I'm so excited! I hope this one is healthy!

May 8, 2008
Since I found out that I’m pregnant I’ve been really anxious because of my positive ANA test. I guess my body produces more white blood cells and they work on over drive trying to kill all foreign things in my body including a fetus. I am terrified because the thing I want most in the world my body could potentially kill. I finally got a hold of my doctor last night and he told me to start taking dexamethasone immediately. He said this drug will suppress my immune system so hopefully my body will let the baby live. I pray to God that I will have a healthy baby and I will be able to hold him/her in my arms in nine months.

May 12, 2008

I just got my progesterone levels back and it came back at 16. The nurse said anything above a 12 is good but they are putting me on progesterone anyways to raise it a bit. No worries here, I will do anything to help have a healthy baby :)

May 16, 2008

I just did the a online reading and here are the results :) too funny

Madame Zaritska's reading

Madame Zaritska, our resident clairvoyant, wants to help you prepare for the arrival of your child. Here she does her best to predict certain aspects of your labor and birth experience.

What she senses for you
The day you deliver, outside will be sunny. Your baby will arrive in the afternoon.

After a labor lasting approximately 16 hours, your child, a boy, will be born. Your baby will weigh about 8 pounds, 2 ounces, and will be 20 inches long. This child will have light blue eyes and some blond hair.

I had my first doctor's appointment today and they confirmed the pregnancy. When I saw the heartbeat I started to cry I was so overjoyed!!! They gave me a due date of Jan. 15th but I'm going to keep it at Jan. 14th because Jan. 14th is the birthday of my Grandfather whom I believe is watching down on me from heaven during this pregnancy. They said everything looks really good and I get to go back in two weeks instead of the standard month for my next appointment. Counting down the days until I get to see my little baby again!

June 3, 2008

I had my second ultrasound today and it was fantastic. I couldn’t believe how much the baby has grown since 6 weeks. The baby measured exactly 8 weeks so they moved my date back to January 14th which is great because that was the day I wanted since it is my Grandfather’s birthday. The baby’s heartbeat was 162 bpm which I guess is very strong so I was ecstatic to hear that. Other than that it was a standard appointment and I get to go back in another two weeks, YEAH!!

June 19, 2008

I had my 10 week appointment yesterday and it went so well. We saw the baby move all over the place, like he was dancing, it was amazing! My doctor also predicted my baby being a boy (which I think it is as well) but he said it is still to soon to be sure so don’t go buying any clothes yet ;) We’ll just have to wait and see if we are both right.

July 3, 2008

I had my 12 week appointment today and everything was great. I couldn’t believe how big my baby is getting. You could distinctly see the hands, feet and facial features, so amazing!! My doctor said the heartbeat is really strong and the baby looks very healthy. When I told him that I have my NT Scan next week he told me not to worry because he already measured the fluid behind the neck and everything looks really good, what a relief! I’m getting off my steroid medicine so I go back in three weeks to check my blood and make sure everything is still ok. Counting down the weeks again ;)

July 11, 2008

I had my NT Scan today and what a relief that was. I had a really bad scare the night before. I rented a fetal Doppler and I couldn’t hear the heartbeat. I was convinced something was wrong because my symptoms have been subsiding and I just had this horrible feeling that something happened to my baby. So when I went to my appointment I was terrified they were going to tell me my baby died but to my relief they said the baby still had a heartbeat and everything was fine. I kept asking again and again “are you sure you see the heartbeat” because I was just so convinced something had happened. They finally let me hear the heartbeat and said it was very strong and 160 bpm. I was so relieved I started crying and so did my Mom. After I finally got over the trauma I started to really enjoy the appointment. My baby was so amazing he was grabbing things in the air, looked like he was picking apples or something and moving all over the place. They measured the fluid behind the neck which was 1.9mm so I think I’m in the clear. All and all it was a fantastic appointment and I’m not using the fetal Doppler until my doctor can show me how to find the heartbeat. I have to stop giving myself such anxiety.

thank you. how's things with you?

WendySue - Thursday, 29 May
Everytime I've gotten pregnant, the temperature thing is the first thing I notice. I would start waking up in the middle of the night sweating which I never do normally. I'm normally freezing. Your temperature actually does go up when you ovulate and it stays up if you get pregnant. It's not a huge jump, but boy I sure noticed it.

jamesmommy - Thursday, 29 May
yes. i have read on the internet a few things progesterone can do. cause sleepiness, constipation, dizzy, etc...
the first time i had my levels checked they were 234. on the chart that is like a 28-40 week pregnant woman. off the chart! the nurse told me i would be queen of morning sickness if my levels stayed this high. however, they don't want to lower my dose due for my 2 previous miscarriages. i would rather deal w/ sickness than to loose another though.

niknak - Thursday, 29 May
Congratulations on WEEK 7!!! I'm so happy for you both! Almost time to go back to the doc again, huh? That's cool. I am buying outfits and stuff but, actually getting sick of pink a little bit. I bought a really cute orange outfit the other day! I've been pretty stressed, as usual, but now my blood pressure is rising and my feet are swelling. It's all part of pregnancy I guess. They are watching my blood pressure pretty close right now. I keep getting headaches from it, at least that's what I blame it on. How are you feeling? I was 7 or 8 weeks along when I found out I was pregnant, I remember being extrememly exhausted, irritated and grumpy, which led me to think...maybe I'm pregnant! You must be so tired! Well, I hope everything is going good for you. Talk to you soon!

jamesmommy - Thursday, 29 May
pretty sick! i actually had to put a trash can beside the bed before i went to sleep last night b/c i didn't think i would make it to the bathroom. i feel like 30 min-1 hour after i take the progesterone pills i feel the worst. ive tried taking them w/ food and different things but i still feel dizzy, sick, tired etc afterward. its super hard taking care of my 2 yr old feeling like all i want to do is lay down and throw up, and he wants to play. ill be laying down and he'll go " mama please!!" and try to pull me up. ha ha its so sweet. my husband is out of town. he goes to harvard so he will be in boston until june 8th i believe so im doing this alone right now. i just hope the sickness doesn't get real bad!!! im glad your holding up and not feeling TOO bad yet.

jamesmommy - Wednesday, 28 May
i got to see the heartbeat flickering on the screen like you did today! it was so sweet! i am feeling SO queasy, but im glad. id rather have that than nothing at all. i go back again next week for another ultrasound and im sure we will get to hear it that time! YEAH!

annie3 - Monday, 26 May

how are you feeling? any morning sickness yet?

Tastiecake731 - Saturday, 24 May
Thanks brie...I will keep that in mind. You would think since this is my 4th pregnancy I would have a clue, but there is always something going on to make you question things. And it's in a mother's nature to worry. Thanks and best wishes on your preg as well. Thanks, Tina
