Due Date: March 1st - Today. Ask me if I've had my baby...go ahead, just ask....

Well I guess I should `update ` my page...although I must say, this would be the first time! Good to document these things right ie get out your frustrations! Well, I have been having `issues ` for past two months. Which, in the big scheme of things is better than issues for 9 months! Working full time in a male dominated work environment, becoming pregnant and having things keep me away from doing 100% is quite frustrating. Our CEO (who is also a woman) is expecting her third child. Her husband stays at home. S he basically works right up until labour, pops the kid out and is back at work one week later. I should have asked her if the week she is taking off is in actuality 5 business days or 7, LOL! In any event. I had planned on working until my final day, however my body rebelled and for the past 8 weeks has only allowed me to sleep for upto 4 hours at a stretch.

Whether bedtime is 8 p.m., I wake at 12.

Try at 10 p.m. I wake at 2.

Good practice for when baby is here...not so good for when I go to bed at 9, awake at 1 and stay awake as I am in at work by 6. So, via doctors orders, I finished work 4 days early. I must say it is quite the relief. But of course, the `baby deadline ` being March 1st and producing no such baby is really bringing me down!

Coincidence, perhaps, but for the last 5 days, I have been having MASSIVE back pains and contractions but the good news is now I can nap throughout the day :)

No `bloody show `,

No additional vaginal discharge,

Nothing that would indicate that my status is progressing.

What I HAVE been going through is major mood swings, limiting communication with the outside world, heartburn back with a vengance, nausea, crazy shooting pains up my left butt cheek (WHAT is THAT from???), vaginal distress (crazy pains shooting up there too), lack of sexual contact, the infuriating inability to sppon behind Jeff and cleaning house...organizing.

Our cleaner showed up yesterday and basically asked WHAT she could clean, as I had had a go at the house for the past 48 hours. Jeff has been prone to mood swings as well lately...we `ve had a few `talks ` but since leaving work, I have relaxed therefore he has relaxed. My doctors are quite pleased with how everything is progressing, (at least they are happy) however having had no internals done, no doctor scheduled U/S since 23 weeks, and being very particular (and yes, some would call me type A and say I am overly competitive), I am going CRAZY!!!!

I actually faked a reason to go to L&D yesterday. I was hoping beyond hope they would take pity on me, and do something to induce labour. The thought was also in my mind that I might be like Sirat and show up with back pains and find out I was 4 cm dilated. No such luck. The doctors are again `pleased ` with how everything is going.

I am slightly effaced, and not even the tiniest bit dilated.

WHAT is the deal with all these back pains and contractions then? It is actually quite heartbreaking...ok see, there I go, melodramatic and irrational. But dammit...enough is enough! Baby, you're in big trouble buster!!!

Another day, another sleepless night. My life seems to be revolving around not being in labour, and not having work to distract me is causing me to be a wee bit more obsessive than typical.

The thing I hate is that I have no idea what labour feels like, although I have been told by many mothers that when it happens, there is no mistaking it. I wish it was like a switch either on or off, or like a thermometer, when you hit this temp you are done. The anxiety of waiting, wanting, wishing seems unbearable.

Always heving been a `list ` person, my latest list looks something like this (keeping in mind alot of these things I have completed at 3 a.m.):

Things to Do: March 2, 2008

Finish Income Taxes - check.

Research on DayCare/Homes - check.

Stock up freezer - check.

Pick up mail at Condo - check.

Buy DayTimer - check.

Take SUV in for service...

Have baby.....

I HATE not being able to check things off my list!!!

So I see my Doc today...have written down what I have been feeling, and what I want to know. For some bizarre reason, everytime I go there, I forget something! It's like taking an exam, and afterwards you slap the forehead with a "Oh yeah...."

Hope to get `the sweep ` done today. Have an acupuncture appointment as well. It `s funny, poking got me in this state in the first place, and now poking seems to be the only thing moving things forward again!

Hi Karyn! How are you?
I haven't visited the site lately. My kids keep me crazy busy!!! Between my twins busy schedule and Maximo eating so often I can barely take a bath or clean the house =)
I am so in love! My twins love Maximo very much! And even though they are boys they are very gentle and loving with him!
Yesterday in mass one of my boys thank baby Jesus for his baby brother!!!! I almost cried! That was so sweet!
Maximo is growing so much he has been wearing size 3-6 for 2 weeks now!!! Next week he will be 2 months and I will know how much he has grown so far.
What is that page you mention?? I would like to keep in touch with you!!!
How is Jackson doing??? I love your pictures!!!! I just took one of my whole family and I will post it later in my page =)

By the way... I never told you about my appt with my doctor.. He said I was fine, that the wall in my vagina was hanging a little because of the prego weight but it should go back to position in a few more weeks... =) I was so relieved! And now I am actually feeling the improvement! I have been doing kegels to help the process...
How are you doing??? Isn't it amazing how enjoyable babies are!? With all the restless nights, big diapers, colics, laundry and all that comes with them.
Maximo is now interacting a lot more!!! He babbles back at me and laughs out loud!!!! I love it!!!! But he is very demanding! He likes to be held a lot!!! =( So I am tired.... But I still do it! I mean, it won't last forever and I know I will miss him in my arms later on!
I am still BFind! I can't believe I have survived this long! I now I feel confident to say I will keep doing it.
I need an advise,,,, How can I loose all this extra pounds!? I am so worried! With my twins it took me less than a month to be back to my weight! But right now I am so fat and I am afraid of dieting because I don't want to loose my milk supply! Any advise?

I am and im sooo proud of myself (my health visitor said i need to be more confident in myself as hes gaining loads of weight) i was just worried as he never feeds for that long, but she pointed out the fact that hes so content sleeps all day and night (in between his 3-4 hourly feeds) that he must be getting good milk and the fact hes now 10lbs 4.5oz is proof!!x

You may not believe that this is the first time I got a chance to check my profile and saw your message after giving birth. Sorry it took me so long. I had a lot of high and down moments since my baby born. I hope it is going to get better. She is a very good baby and I could not ask for more, but the only problem I have is sleeping pattern. She sleeps when I hug her and rock her and will be wake as soon as I put her in her crib. She is not eating well since yesterday and I am counting the diapers to make sure she is eating enough. I thing being a mom is like being worry all the time and not thinking about yourself. You may not believe that I take shower in 2 mints. I don’t have time for myself at all. I never thought my life will change this much. Take a good care and good luck

hi karyn, love the new profile photo! he looks all tiny and adorable love al his hair! I was signed off from midwife today - rudy has gained back the weight he lost in 1st few days and is now 9lbs 7oz (joe and donny were 4 weeks before they weighed that) he is now in 0-3 babygrows as newborn too constricting for him (as hes also 3' longer than the boys were at birth) weve just got home from rudy photo sitting he pee'd poo'd and puked but didnt peep so we got some lovely photos - we got some lovely ones of him naked on white fur wrapped in his blue blanket (they can print these in black and white leaving the blanket blue which i like the sound of) he shat all over the mans white fur though haha! then we tried to get some of him on white towel bail on his front with legs tucked under him but that didnt work as he is too big already and kept stretching his legs out!! we then got a few laying over iains arm and then in a ball (but a very big ball) cupped in his hands! i cant wait to go and view them and buy some (its gonna cost me a fortune but hes my last so worth it!!)x

Awwww, he's so cute in that pic - what a great head of hair.
I'm not using a soother, no. We decided that we'd see how we go without one as Chris remembers how crazy one of his twins got when she was a baby and the thing fell out of her mouth every time she fell asleep and he had to keep putting it back in and proping it in there :o) - he doesn't want to be doing that again. That's great sleep wise though. Iris has had a couple of unsettled nights but most of the time she's doing about 5 hours max, sometimes 3, others 4 - overall she's doing great though and my god can the girl eat - Chris has been calling me Bessie! It really is a full-time job this mummy stuff.
I found my hairdryer works pretty well at soothing Iris but i must pay attention when the bathroom fan is on - great way to be able to shower without them waking up.
I'm feeling pretty good but i kinda know what you mean re your scar. My section scar isn't actually so obvious but about 1cm above the scar i'm really tender and a bit swollen. I reckon it's the internal scar tissue...makes me look chubby down there!!
Oh, are you still getting pins and needles in your hands? My finger tips are still a bit weird feeling and it gets worse when i hold baby with my right arm or when i raise it to wash my hair in the shower - not nice at all.

Oh well I have gotten very little sleep since I can only get it at night. The rest of the time I have to be with my other boys and keep the house in order =)
Is getting better since I am getting to know Maximo better! He is so sweet! And now I know what he likes and I can tell how he is feeling when he cries! LOL I almost forgot all about babies in the last 5 years! =)
He is still BF! I think I have finally made it! For some time I though it was way to hard, but I am getting used to it and is getting easier.
I have Maximo's 1 month appt next week!!!! He is getting so big! He smiles a lot and he keeps visual contact! He loves to be talked to!!! OMG is getting so exciting to be with him! He coos back to me when I talk!!! =)

meant to say to you yes he may wake once between 12 and 6 but it can take me up to an hour to settle him back to sleep which is exhausting!
yes labour was quick but it was only because of the drip (did you see my labour story - i really enjoyed writing it) I had a friend on here from the USA ask me what gas and air is - do you have it in canada as a form of pain relied??
im off to bed now its only 10pm but im feeling very tired - hope you have a lovely day with JJ XX

I was in hospital for 3 days, I left as soon as I could walk.... hunched over and slow as a turtle, but walking!
Ye....42 hours, some of it is a blur and other bits I simply can't remember. It started off naturally, then inducing drugs cause it was slow going then when they decided after about 41 hours to use oxytocin cause I was stuck at 8cms and contractions were only 'bout 30secs or less apart and had been for 'bout 4 hours....I was exhausted! ....anyway thats when it turned for the worse and I had what is called a tonic contraction which is a constant contraction and then I started to haemorrhage so was preped for theatre. Was all worth it when I saw my little Zari :D. I'm going to post a full birth story in nxt few days when I have a wee bit more energy!
How is JJ going? does he sleep at night? Zari has a frenzied feeding period each day for about 3 hours where she has to constantly be on the breast ( omg,are they sore!)...she's getting soo big! XXem

Evan had a pretty fussy night last night (one of his first). His poor little eye keeps bugging him. I wish the eye drops and antibiotic would work faster for he could feel better. I still can't believe he has strep. I never heard of someone having strep and not actually have it in the throat nor not run a fever. Perhaps we just caught it really early.

How's little JJ doing? Hopefully you both are avoiding all these various illnesses that are going around :/ Me and my husband both are having horrible colds/sinus infections. I feel like crap lol The boys have avoided it, thankfully lol

Hello Karyn. I made the appointment and was supposed to go today in the morning... I couldn't! Now I have to reschedule... Maximo has had this eye discharge for a few days now, but today it was just ridiculous and I had to use warm water in his eyes for a while to get them clean. I called the ped and he asked me to go to his office... They gave him some eyes drops... He said it was supposed to go away by it self but it just got worse....
Beside that he is doing great! I have to call and make my appt again for tomorrow.
I am taking Maximo with me. I don't have many options... I have to get the appt before 12 because if not I would have to go with 3 boys!!! And I really wouldn't take my twins to a gynecologist appt =(
I will let you know how everything ends...

Last night I didn't get enough rest and I didn't produce enough milk today!! =( Its going to be so hard!!! When am I supposed to get more hours of sleep??

how is motherhood coming along? Phoenix is doing very well...he is just under 8lbs now and nearly 9 weeks old. He still looks like a newborn seeing he was so early.
I'm allowed to begin breastfeeding and we need help :P He done well when he was first born but then he wasn't allowed to have my milk so he got use to the bottles. But I didn't pump all this time for nothing so I'm hoping to become a pro soon :)
