Hello all! Excellent day today. Bunny Bun had a really great scan this morning and it's official- Bunny is a Girl! We're so happy. Honestly it didn't matter what we were having, only that the baby is healthy. Now it's time to start up the shopping and decorating the nursery. Love and hugs to all and I hope that you're having a good day today. We are!

Hello all. Had a bit of a scare on Tuesday. Headaches, saw those little silvery stars and was light headed all day. I thought I may have been coming down with this flu that's been sweeping the lands-After work I came home to try and lay down, to only become restless and worrisome. I went to triage and found out that I was dehydrated and my blood pressure was up. I felt bad because all day long, I tried to wait it out thinking that my "off" feeling would pass. Eventually it did, however there could have been something more serious happening to us and I didn't heed the warnings. I'm grateful that this was a minor issue and can be avoided in the future by monitoring my salt intake...no protein in the urine and I'm not pre-eclamptic as of this point.

On a more pleasant note, we find out what we are having this Tuesday- can't wait. I think we are having a boy- Daddy wants another little girl. I'm happy either way. We have a couple names picked out. Dante Lee and Nya Belle... I'll post again soon! thanks for taking the time to read my blog!

NT Scan went well today...Bunny Bun is doing well. Wasn't as active as we would have liked to see and that's ok. Melted my heart today, that's for sure.

ahhhh deep breath here. Tuesday during a cervical length measurement ultrasound it was discovered that my cervix was starting to funnel from the inside out. I was consulted on getting a cerclage- which this exact happening was what we were hoping to catch with the biweekly scans- and I elected to have one. We did the works- spinal block-cut away and pushed up part of my bladder to get the stitch up higher and we made it out ok with minimal discomfort. I will tell you this, I knew for a long time that my cervix wasn `t `normal ` and that I was going to have issues with this pregnancy- however my dr `s really didn `t seem to understand what I was trying to tell them. An incompetent cervix/soft mushy cervix like mine doesn `t `look ` incompetent on an ultra sound. It wasn `t until I was on the operating table and they manually examined my cervix were they able to determine that the fibers of my cervix were to flexible they could have put a finger through it right to the baby. This catch in the changes of my body were meant to happen. I believe that angels were watching over us on Tuesday. I pray daily and thank God that this opportunity was given and allowed to be taken. We `re on modified bedrest and will find out this afternoon after my follow up scan if I can return to work on Monday. I `m hoping that I am able to go back. At the very least this baby needs to stay in for 7 more weeks according to the surgeon. I `m not so good at the layng around thing. I will update later on this afternoon.

follow up scan went well. We are able to return to work Monday with very limited activity. The cerclage is in a good position and Bunny Bun is doing well too. Her h/r was 166 this afternoon. To all of those that have shared their cerclage stories and experiences, thank you so much for your input. It helped me become a better health advocate for myself and I appreciate it- we appreciate it so much. Thank you for being around for us. xoxo

I am.. how are you doing?? I haven't been on in so long!! I've been so busy! About 2 and a half weeks ago I started having regular contractions (every 3 mins) so I had to go to L&D. They gave me 3 shots of terbetuline and it worked.. thank goodness!! I was worried that I'd have to be put on magnesium sulfate.. or worse, have the baby! Anyway.. wmb!!

Wow you're due Aug 4th? That's not far away! Are you excited!!! Natural birth or keep the drugs coming??? I really wanna TRY to be a soldier and do without drugs, but I can barely handle period cramps, so I don't think I'll make it! LOL! Just checkin on you!

WOW, your in week 30 already!!! Yeah! How are things going? I read your blog. That is so weird about the upset tummy. Around 31 weeks my "morning sickness" started to return off and on also. I would get nausous and gag at various times throughout the day, but nothing would come up. My appetite also subsided as well. I wasn't that hungry because I was nauseous. I see you almost have the nursery done! How exciting. Are you having a baby shower? I actually had an appointment today. My doctor said that when I am 36 weeks I get to get rid of the pump. (2 1/2 more weeks) He thinks that when I get rid of the pump, I will have labor withing 24 to 48 hours with all of the contracting going on and already being dilated to a 1. So I have started buying stuff this past week because I think my little guy will be here in 3 weeks!

Hey- That is a good idea to use the nectar with 7 up, makes you feel like you are having a tropical drink, I'm trying that. I'm tired today but still can't help doing some laundry (nesting also, I guess). How is the nusery coming?

Yeah, I'm looking forward to it! I was just planning to move down there to start over; I didn't know I'd meet the love of my life and get pregnant before I even moved! LOL! It must be meant for me to be there! I WAS feeling better til I ate those darn pretzels! I thought I had it under control- I turned on the fan and sipped on some Sprite and took deep breaths, but nope, that didn't stop it from coming :( Other than not wanting to eat, and super sore nipples, yeah, I feel 100% grand! LOL!

I lived there for 3 years when I was younger (but too young to really do anything), so I'm looking forward to moving. As for me, yes, it's a new start, 100%! I HATE Milwaukee! There's nothing here and the people are so un-Texas (LOL!)

i still did not get any answers to what I was feeling. Do you get it often??? i went into preterm labor twice and both times meds were given to stop the funny thing is---is they showed up as a small contraction on the machine and the nurse said they could just be mild contraction but dont do anything for your cervix or anything or your stomach muscles are fatiqued. I am not sure though.

I hear you. There are some pretty sad stories out there, but God has been really good to us so I can not complain(at least I try not to :) I was 23 when I had my son and had a small shower with about 6-7 people and really didn't know what I needed. This is so different with being older and having a grip on life :) Thanks for the compliments on the nursery. As you can see, I have been shopping for him already!

That is really nice that you are getting two showers. I have one here in 3 weeks and all my friends and family are coming up from Chicago for it along with the family here. My best friend had a baby last summer so she gave us a ton of stuff that was not even used. My hubby is really excited since this is his first "baby" he considers my son his first son though, and has kinda gone easy on me with all of my shopoholic tendencies, LOL :) I stopped shopping 2 months ago because everyone kept saying that we wouldn't have anything for them to buy for the shower...I cound'nt help it I was so excited about this baby and I still am. I can't wait to finally meet him!

You know, I just thought it was my age and the pregnancy, LOL. But now that you mention it, I felt so tired all the time and without energy. I started the Repliva iron supplements on Thursday and I really do feel a difference already. I was up and about all weekend and usually I'm sooo tired. I cleaned and cooked over the weekend and that had become hubby's gig over the last few months...They are suppose to call me and let me know the results of the glucose test this morning but I haven't heard anything yet, so I'm just praying for the best.

Good to know that there is someone else who had to fight the Wisconsin snow and cold during the winter :) I'm so happy that we are finally seeing the sun and having great weather!
By the way, are you having a baby shower? Have you done alot of shopping yet?

hey..... im doing ok still having some bad days but everything is looking good ... had my appointment with the OBGYN and he said my u/s results were great ive groped 6 small cyct on my right overy and 3 on my left so he seems to think that my fertility will return to normal and that i wont have to take the clomid ...yay... im so excited ..... we are trying again as of this month we are both excited but scared at the same time ..... i need lots of prayers and baby dust i think ....... once i get pregnant i just have to face the fear of having my cervix stiched ...ouch .... its gonna hurt ... have agreat weekend ..xoxox bec
