I'm Courtney, I have been using this since I was in my first trimester pregnant with my little angel, Edyn Annelyse. My husband and I tried for a year for her until I was finally diagnosed with PCOS. We were so blessed to get pregnant after I was on medication for less than 4 months.

Now we are adjusting to the bottles, diapers and endless crying. Thank the good Lord I have both a wonderful husband as well as my mother living with us right now.

This site has been an incredible source of information to me. I tell all my friends who get pregnant about it.

Sunday, 9 Dec

Feeling yucky lately. I'm not hungry, just nauseous! And when I do eat, I can only eat a very little bit or I get very sick, like I've eaten a whole cake or something. I don't know what's wrong with me, I am worried I am starving my baby only eating two meals a day.

Sunday, 16 Dec

Feeling really good today, actually, too good. I hope this is the light at the end of the m/s tunnel. Almost in the second trimester, only 5 days to go!!!

Thursday, 20 Dec

Went to dr today. I had a small bleed near my uterus 3 weeks ago and it has gotten bigger. I am on full-blown bedrest, but it isn't a huge risk to our baby. It is going to drive me crazy. My mama came from Lafayette to be with me until my hubby comes home in a week. I am so disappointed. Guess I will work on the scrapbook I am putting together for our darling baby.

Thursday, 10 Jan

Went Tuesday to see about my bleed and it was totally gone. I am so happy and I am back on normal activity. I cleaned house like a madwoman. Didn `t take long for me to need a nap though. And my darling was moving all over the place. He had his hands all in his mouth, even sucking his thumb once. I never get tired of seeing him. Going on the 6th of February to find out the gender, but Mommy `s pretty sure he `s a boy!!!

Friday, 1 Feb

have been feeling pretty good lately. I go on the 13th of February to find out what my baby is but my hubby will be offshore still. I am still convinced it is a boy but I `ll take anything healthy. I can `t wait to find out if I `m getting a Jadyn or an Edyn . . . .

Monday, 4 Feb

I felt my baby move this morning! I am so very happy. He kicks me when I roll onto my tummy!!! I love it

Thursday, 14 Feb

It `s a GIRL!!

Saturday, 1 Mar

We are naming our little girl Edyn Annelyse

i like them anyway!

I told my midwife about it after the fact. It's not such a big deal or anything. I got mine at walmart. So far most of my family was induced medically with pitocin. It's far more painful than going naturally. So I have researched on my own and found that this is safe and for MOST women very effedtive. Good Luck!

Hehe, my son's comments, he is full of them and my 5yr old girl is catching on. Last night it was "let's jiggle mommies thighs and see which one jiggles the most since one is bigger than the other".

1stbabyforus - Monday, 2 June
Thanks for the reply. I will definitly think about saying that.

Hey! Dominic is doing wonderfully! He is 5lbs 13ozs now and has been taking all of his feedings from his bottle the last couple of days. Hopefully he will be home within the next couple of weeks. How are you doing? Oh, feel free to take a look at my page, I have updated it with new info and added a few new pictures! a

Thank you for the nice wishes. We had a great shower and got tons of great stuff! Now I have to pack it up into a truck and take it all back to my house. We got some really creative stuff. I hope your baby shower was amazing and I hope you get plenty of rest. God Bless

TopazBecky - Sunday, 1 June
I agree about children acting out- my boyfriend has a nephew who is 6.5 years old and I can't stand him. He is naughty and manipulative and can do no wrong in his family's eyes. The day we moved into our new house, his nephew came in through the front door, even though we told him not to, and tracked mud on our brand new carpet. When I got pissed about, my boyfriend's mom got mad at me for yelling at her grandson! Honestly, I don't even want this kid in my house. I can honestly say that my daughter will not be like this, as I will teach her manners and allow others to correct her if she is being naughty. In fact, I expect them to!
As for the shower being exhausting, I totally agree. I was so grateful for all the gifts, but I was so overwhelmed and crashed shortly after. =)

TopazBecky - Saturday, 31 May
Hope you have a FANTASTIC shower. Let me know if you found it to be as overwhelming as I did!!

mamakristin - Friday, 30 May
I would just let your friends know that you do not want children at the party. No one is going to get offended by it. THat is what i did. But dont pick and choose, just tell them that you would rather not have any children at the party. I had to tell alot of people that, and no one was offended. Good luck.

kristalsfirst - Friday, 30 May
LOL, scare your reproductive stystem.
My shower had no kids and i liked it that way. I was able to describe Exactly how pleasent (by pleasent i mean HORRIBLY frustrating and painful) my pregnancy has been lol. At the very MINIMUM i think if people HAVE to bring their kids, they should arrange that they are going to be watched (in a different room, outside wud be best so u cant hear them) so it will feel just like they aren't there. you want that few hours to be about you, not about kids. And like you said, speaking openly is a bonus.

Mum2-3 - Friday, 30 May
Hi, about the kids thing at the shower, either organise someone to do some kids activities to contain their energy levels or let people that are coming that its only for kids aged 10+. Let people that are coming know this is partly because it is at your house and you are on partial bed rest. Not everyone thinks about whether their child will behave well, or even knows themselves what their child may do at the time. I have been to baby showers where it hasnt been specified if kids are to come along or not. But they have come and then just played outside. You could just provide some food and organise some older children that you know might be coming to help look after and entertain the younger kids - possibly outside!

tto - Friday, 30 May
Hopefully, everyone invited to your shower has the good sense to know if it is appropriate to bring their child or not. But, if they bring the rowdy ones anyway, maybe your husband can take them outside and play for the duration of the party- or have some teen hired to babysit them away from the party. Personally, if it isn't an older girl who can enjoy and appreciate a baby shower, I don't think it's appropriate to bring a child, esp a baby- may steal thunder!

smerty - Friday, 30 May
I hear you on the shower issue! We had an adult only shower and simply said... limited space please let the little ones play at home :0) Most people thought it was cute... one lady threw a fit... but that is how she is about everything... hope that helps :0) It is your day (just like the delivery or a wedding...) so make it how you want to remember it! Best of luck to you!!!

happymomma2be - Friday, 30 May
I can relate to the "kids at shower" situation, and if I could do it all over again, I would have handled my upcoming shower differently. I found out I will probably have two babies and two young children at my shower, and I am not happy about that! My sis, who is throwing the party is even madder...she said the day was about me, and as soon as the kids enter the room, it will be all about them. I just don't feel up to the noise and mess that I know is going to come. And although I am about to be a mom, I don't have the items needed to accomodate so many kids!! If I could do it over again, I would have had written in my invitation, "Please no babies or children due to limited seating arrangements and room." The shower is to be at my house! And now I can't really say anything, as one of the girls bringing her daughter is someone helping with the shower (and she was in no way responsible for having to do so!) I feel like saying, "Hey, you can help with the shower, but don't bring your kid," might be hurtful and offensive to her. Sorry, I can't be of more help, but I do wish you best of luck! If you have another shower 'though, don't let 'em come!! XXXXX

CANTW8TOBMOMMY - Friday, 30 May
I felt the same way, my stepsister is planning on brining her 1 month old baby boy to my baby boys's baby shower and although I have asked her not to, she will anyway because she is rude. lol.
I would just let them know that you would rather small children stay at home or with a babysitter. I just told any one I was concerned about that it was a "grown up party" and to let the men watch the kids.

angie - Friday, 30 May
I let my friends know ahead of time to find babysitters. Showers in my opinion are not meant for any baby's over 1 year old. When people bring their children you are no longer the center of attention because they are too busy watching and reprimanding their children. This day is supposed to be about you. To make if fair I would say no kids.
