I am so excited to finally be pregnant! My husband and I tried for a year and had all but given up hope when we found out. I can't believe how different I feel, my body is changing everyday! I thank God for my tiny miracle and BLESS all ya'll pregnant girls out there!!

Sunday, 9 Dec

Feeling yucky lately. I'm not hungry, just nauseous! And when I do eat, I can only eat a very little bit or I get very sick, like I've eaten a whole cake or something. I don't know what's wrong with me, I am worried I am starving my baby only eating two meals a day.

Sunday, 16 Dec

Feeling really good today, actually, too good. I hope this is the light at the end of the m/s tunnel. Almost in the second trimester, only 5 days to go!!!

Thursday, 20 Dec

Went to dr today. I had a small bleed near my uterus 3 weeks ago and it has gotten bigger. I am on full-blown bedrest, but it isn't a huge risk to our baby. It is going to drive me crazy. My mama came from Lafayette to be with me until my hubby comes home in a week. I am so disappointed. Guess I will work on the scrapbook I am putting together for our darling baby.

Thursday, 10 Jan

Went Tuesday to see about my bleed and it was totally gone. I am so happy and I am back on normal activity. I cleaned house like a madwoman. Didn `t take long for me to need a nap though. And my darling was moving all over the place. He had his hands all in his mouth, even sucking his thumb once. I never get tired of seeing him. Going on the 6th of February to find out the gender, but Mommy `s pretty sure he `s a boy!!!

Friday, 1 Feb

have been feeling pretty good lately. I go on the 13th of February to find out what my baby is but my hubby will be offshore still. I am still convinced it is a boy but I `ll take anything healthy. I can `t wait to find out if I `m getting a Jadyn or an Edyn . . . .

Monday, 4 Feb

I felt my baby move this morning! I am so very happy. He kicks me when I roll onto my tummy!!! I love it

Thursday, 14 Feb

It `s a GIRL!!

Saturday, 1 Mar

We are naming our little girl Edyn Annelyse!

I wouldn't worry about spoiling your baby at this point. From everything I've read, it is literally impossible to spoil them before two months of age...

Thanks! :o) I know I need to drink more water too, especially now. I used to drink a ton of it, but I got out of the habit in the last two weeks. I'll try the lemon juice too. :o)

Thanks so much. I am just nervous I will be completely dead to everyone including my baby. But now I am hearing from more and more people that its not as bad as it seems. My nervousness is slowely going away! Thanks again!

Thanks for the post. We have a positioner with velcro bumpers, which our pediatrician recommended, however, she still hates the cradle even with it. We haven't really tried the side thing though, so maybe we will give that a shot. :) Thanks again!

How is your recovery going? Mine has sucked, I am so swollen now that I can't even take care of Addy very well. My incision has opened and I have to keep a maxi pad on it for drainage. I had to go to the ER a few nights ago because it was so bad. They sent me for a CT and XRay to make sure it was closed underneath. I also had to have a riser put on the toilet because getting down that low is impossible for me. I am really depressed and scared that I will never heal.

Hey! I am a teacher and am painfully aware of the fact that kids will do whatever they can get away with. I speak directly to the kids and say things like, Your mom may want you jumping and destroying her couch, but it is not allowed here. Sit down. I also have many nieces and nephews who know that rules might be different at my house, but they follow them b/c they can't get away with not doing it. Feel free to correct their kids whenever they are in your home or potentially affecting your own kids!

Hey sweets, have you thought that maybe it is your nerves. How did you feel about the whole C-Section, where you ok during/after it.
It is just a thought....but at the same time try and call someone like a doc and see if this is normal!

When I stopped breastfeeding, everyday I would drop a feeding and give him a bottle. So, in the morning instead of bfing, I gave him a bottle and then breastfed the rest of the day until night, or sometimes I'd give him a bottle in mid day. I just find formula feeding so much easier than breastfeeding, although I hear it different from so many people. I somewhat wish I was still bfing but I don't know. I feel bad because I only breastfed him for 2wks. I breastfed my first for 6wks. And with my first, I just quit cold turkey, like peaceful1013 said not to do. I didn't get engorged or any infection, but I guess maybe I was lucky. I remember the day before I had quit we had to take a 6hr car ride so I didn't feed at all during that and I was soooo engorged and sore once we got to where we going. And I breastfed and pumped the rest of that day and the next day decided I was done. Anyway, good luck if you do decide to stop bfing. Sorry for the long post!!!

catsa79 - Friday, 4 July
I was gonna say the same as peaceful, I think about quitting everyday but it is gettn easier I keep thining bottle would be easier but its not really cause you have to make it up with a hungry baby instead of just sitting down and gettn them out!

peaceful1013 - Friday, 4 July
Dont quit cold turkey. If you decide to quit, it's going to have to be a process. You'll have to drop a couple feedings a day for the first week, then drop a couple feedings more the next week, and so on and so on. If you quit cold turkey, it could lead to infection as you will become so engourged.

I had a section, too. How is yours going? I am getting frustrated by my lack of mobility and that I can't get off the couch too well. My boyfriend has been great, but I still think that maybe he keeps forgetting for a few minutes that I am trying to recover from major surgery and must take it easy. Are you breastfeeding? I am finding positioning extremely difficult with my incision (mine is vertical) and large breasts. . .
I guess I just need to touch base with someone in my predicament. . .

The shakes happen right after delivery but if it's been 5 days it may well be something more. Do you have a fever?!!! I had the same thing after my 2nd c-section and had a slight infection. I would call your Dr. right away to let them know. Good luck!

bellamaphone - Tuesday, 1 July
I didnt have a c section but I did have the shakes after my daughter was born, I would shake and have to put a few blankets on me (and its summer) to warm up. I was told its a release of hormones that have been storing up and mine went away in a week!

uncmommy - Tuesday, 1 July
i had a section on the 23rd and i haven't had the shakes. i did however, get the spinal headache which was horrible. i had to get a blood patch done which was more painful than any part of the section. i was in the hospital for 5 days. i'm good now though as long as i remember to take my pain meds. my little girl is doing great though. she's just tiny.
