I'm Courtney, I have been using this since I was in my first trimester pregnant with my little angel, Edyn Annelyse. My husband and I tried for a year for her until I was finally diagnosed with PCOS. We were so blessed to get pregnant after I was on medication for less than 4 months.

Now we are adjusting to the bottles, diapers and endless crying. Thank the good Lord I have both a wonderful husband as well as my mother living with us right now.

This site has been an incredible source of information to me. I tell all my friends who get pregnant about it.

Sunday, 9 Dec

Feeling yucky lately. I'm not hungry, just nauseous! And when I do eat, I can only eat a very little bit or I get very sick, like I've eaten a whole cake or something. I don't know what's wrong with me, I am worried I am starving my baby only eating two meals a day.

Sunday, 16 Dec

Feeling really good today, actually, too good. I hope this is the light at the end of the m/s tunnel. Almost in the second trimester, only 5 days to go!!!

Thursday, 20 Dec

Went to dr today. I had a small bleed near my uterus 3 weeks ago and it has gotten bigger. I am on full-blown bedrest, but it isn't a huge risk to our baby. It is going to drive me crazy. My mama came from Lafayette to be with me until my hubby comes home in a week. I am so disappointed. Guess I will work on the scrapbook I am putting together for our darling baby.

Thursday, 10 Jan

Went Tuesday to see about my bleed and it was totally gone. I am so happy and I am back on normal activity. I cleaned house like a madwoman. Didn `t take long for me to need a nap though. And my darling was moving all over the place. He had his hands all in his mouth, even sucking his thumb once. I never get tired of seeing him. Going on the 6th of February to find out the gender, but Mommy `s pretty sure he `s a boy!!!

Friday, 1 Feb

have been feeling pretty good lately. I go on the 13th of February to find out what my baby is but my hubby will be offshore still. I am still convinced it is a boy but I `ll take anything healthy. I can `t wait to find out if I `m getting a Jadyn or an Edyn . . . .

Monday, 4 Feb

I felt my baby move this morning! I am so very happy. He kicks me when I roll onto my tummy!!! I love it

Thursday, 14 Feb

It `s a GIRL!!

Saturday, 1 Mar

We are naming our little girl Edyn Annelyse

Hey, sorry to hear that you are feeling down. I felt the same way after having my baby. One thing that helped me was getting some sleep. I think you should get some one you trust to watch Edyn and get a good night of sleep. Sleep deprivation can lead to depression and irrational thinking. Also, sleeping here and there is better than not sleeping at all, but the best thing is a good night of uninterupted sleep.

wal-mart has parents choice and it's a lot cheaper, they have a sensitive and gentle version of formula for belly sensitivities. hope this helps

Grace - Friday, 1 August
look online and see if they make it in a concentrated form, before you wear yourself out searching for it. also you might have to order it online in bulk, it might save you even more.

preciousangels2 - Tuesday, 29 July
Strange how they do that. He slept alright last night. Still woke up 2 times though. But he's sleeping again so hopefully today isn't a repeat from yesterday. I go to the doctors in an hour for my check up. I can't believe that he's 7wks old today!! I hope you got some sleep last night!

Rachel918 - Tuesday, 29 July

Yeah, he ofcourse, was up at around 1 a.m and about every hour and a half thereafter. It was daddy's night and I felt so bad I would get up with him. Now he is sleeping and I am up!!

He sleeps from 9pm till 9am.. so hes been sleeping for a while.. but it really cute to watch him in his sleep.. what he does.. tooo cute! I got the monitor from Walmart is was $20 cheaper then Babiesrus..

juliedue2008 - Sunday, 27 July
if you can afford it get the monitor as well.. that combo is awesome.. I am sitting here pumping.. I hear and see the movement sensor and I can just look over the monitor and see "watch" him breathing it is so reassuring to beable to see him.. I had purchased several monitors but they were all too tiny the screens this 7" inch is awesome.. I LOVE THE ANGLECARE>.. but I did not know tha toyu can adjust the sensitivity so it kept going off in the middle of the night and wed run to see what happened.. that is why we stopped using it.. then just last week i called the company.. OHHHHHH there is a sensitivity adjustment on the back of the base unit.. so now for one week and one day.. he has been in his crib and so happy.. i still stay up and watch the monitor all night.. it is 1.30 in texas.. but at least i dont have to poke him every 30mins.. i told my husband baby steps he is in his crib.. im still sleeping on the couch and hope to back to my bed by weeks end.. :O) glad u saw the post.. u will love the sensor!!!

juliedue2008 - Sunday, 27 July
anglecare movement sensor.. it can tell if the baby stops breathing and an alarm goes off if no movement for 20sec.. I LOVE IT.. I am SOOOOO nuts over SIDS... I did not sleep for 13 weeks for more then 30mins at a time id go poke my little guy.. but once i got a video monitor an dused the sensor now i can roll over in bed and see and hear him moving..

THANKS SO MUCH!!! My mom is doing better. My parents got their power back after not having it for a little over two days. My mom was down to only having 1 tank of oxygen. There are so many familys that lost so much. I hope to take some pictures and post them so you guys can see. I'm to thankful that my family is ok now. I hope to get on often so I can catch up on everything. CONGRATS to those of you that have had your little ones and I thinks its great that I have such awsome friends on this site. THANKS again. Hey..... how's everything? We had a hard day with Brianna today, she was very cranky and just fussed for a lot of the day.

We just asked our pediatrician if there was any way insurance would cover the Similac Alimentum and she said 'yes' because it is so expensive and it's a special kind of formula (even though it is sold in stores)... so we filled out paper work and she wrote a prescription for how much Brianna eats, and then we got a phone call from the healthcare agency asking if we wanted ready made formula or powdered. I said ready made!! It's a 32oz. bottle of the formula made already. I just pour it into the bottles and thats it!

It took about 4 days before we noticed a difference in Brianna... but we sure did notice one eventually! She was able to eat without spitting it out (she never really vomitted, just kept spitting out the formula as she was eating it.... she wanted to eat but it's like it hurt or something, she would cry and cry and spit it out).

She rarely spits up though, and she is still "colicky" so things aren't *perfect*, but since the new formula, things are much much better!!!

He was switched to Gentlease. This doctor said that he doesn't show any sign of having a milk allergy (which would make Nutramigen more appropriate), and that he probably doesn't like the taste, which is why he was throwing it up and not drinking as much as he should be. I just gave him 4 oz of Gentlease; he chugged down 3.5 oz and went right to sleep. So I'm cautiously optimistic.

I've been sleeping with her on my stomach and then in the bed right next to me. As long as she can feel my body heat she is ok. I am going to move he rfrom next to me to a little further away. I don't really sleep though because I am afraid of the same thing. After I get her f urther away I am going to try putting her back in the co-sleeper. Let me know if you find something that works as well.

tinamarie4685 - Wednesday, 23 July
I just read your post .. sounds like everything my husband and i went through with our baby. We finally found Similac Alimentum .. it's pre-digested and easier for them to digest. We asked our pediatrician about insurance covering it also, because it is pretty pricey. It covers it, and now we are getting a months supply at a time of the ready made stuff!

Good luck with everything :)

I'm trying to catch up on all my messages. Sorry I havn't been on much nor for very long we had a really bad wind storm and my parents still don't have power. Ours has been working its been an off and on thing. It might be a little while when I can sit down and catch up but I will do my best. Please keep my mom in your prayers her name is Mary and she's on oxygen and is running low and she needs power and soon. Alot of homes had alot of damage from the 90 mph winds we had MANY trees have been up rooted.

They say it all goes by fast and well will miss this> Whatever. Am I cruel for not cherishing this moment?

MommaLogan - Friday, 18 July
I read that your baby keeps falling asleep awhile he's feeding. My baby does that too. The reason your baby wakes up and cries after you put her down is because she's stii hungry. What I do is tickle im under his chin, the back of his neck or his feet and he wakes up and continues feeding or burp him and then continue feeding until he's fed for a good amount.

kimberley1979 - Friday, 18 July
HI CCQ, thanks for your encouraging comments re taking Ainsley to the hospital for help feeding. We are home from the hospital now and she is doing MUCH better. You're right the bottle feeding is worth it when you see your baby happy and asleep! I now have some milk so am trying to breast feed again but she is falling asleep after 10 minutes, then crying when I try to put her down! This has been going on all afternon and is frustrating, I see you have a similar problem... if you fins a solution let me know! Best wishes to you and Edyn
X Kim

You know I too was getting those chills too, majorly- what is that all about?!?! Did anyone say why we get those?? Epidural effects? Thought it was my blood pressure or something? Any ideas, I am really curious? I shook with them throughout my c-section.....
