Still getting Nausea, I've been having alot of headaches lately as well. I can feel my abdomen stretching. I've been feeling alot of flutters, Mainly at night.
I have another ultrasound next week, My midwife is keeping an eye on this blood thing I have on my uterus. I am now on pelvic rest because of it. Hopefully this thing begins going away and is not getting bigger. I will find out next week I guess. It's kinda scary because I dont know what it could develop into. I know I never had this many Ultra sounds with my first pregnancy.
I Figured every week I will update and add a belly pic. So here is a belly pic from today. Dont mind the stretch marks...they are from my last pregnancy and now they are turning red again ugh. 12.20.07 Ultrasound 14 weeks 6 days 1.12.08 18 weeks 1 day pregnant I have been feeling the baby kicking like crazy! I've been feeling the flutters for weeks. But beginning last week I have been feeling some jabs! It's so exciting! Im able to feel them if I put my hand on my belly, The kicks are only going to get stronger! I cant wait!
I had an appt. with my midwife the other day, She reviewed the results from my last ultrasound..and says that the blood thingy that was on my uterus has absorbed! Great news.
I haven't been getting morning sickness any more. I do if I dont eat, But I've been doing really well with eating every 2-3 hours and drinking tons of fluids. After my trip to the er I dont want a repeat of that. ( I had to go to the er for severe headaches, turns out I was severly dehydrated and had a UTI.)
Every day I can tell my belly grows little by little. Finally getting in to the fun part of pregnancy. So many changes everyday! I added some belly pictures to my photo album! 2.12.08 22 weeks and 4 days Besides being really hungry and peeing all of the time, Everything is going great. Our little boy never stops moving! He kicks me so much its unbelievable! I've been having trouble sleeping, I just cant get comfy. I wake up at least 3 times throughout the night to go potty. My husband can really feel the kicks now! He felt his first real kick on 1.16.08, His reaction was the greatest. I can actually lay on my back and watch my belly move when the baby really gets going. We had an ultrasound a couple weeks ago, and it was confirmed that it's a boy! 3.4.08 25 weeks and 4 days I have been having a ton of pelvic pressure and lower back pain along with some braxton hicks contractions for the past week, week and a half. I've been freaking out thinking something was wrong, I don't remember having any of these pains so early with my pregnancy with my daughter, so I called my midwife and met her at the hospital yesterday. They hooked my up to the monitor, checked the babies heart beat and tracked my contractions. They swabbed me to see if I was going into labor and they checked my urine for a UTI. She examined my cervix to see if I was dilating. All the tests came back negative and she said that my cervix is nice and tight. I WAS SO RELIVED! I kept having anxiety attack one after the other on my way to the hospital...I was so scared. When she told me everything was fine a HUGE weight was lifted off of my shoulders. She said because I've had a kid before that all of the ligaments are already stretched out and I'm feeling everything more with this pregnancy because of that. And the weight of the baby is putting pressure on my pelvic area and straining my back. The pain has been so bad lately, I can barely get up from laying down or sitting on the couch! Thank God my husband is such a big help, he usually ends up having to pull me up to a standing position lol So I'm going to be investing in one of those belly belts that help support your belly and back. 3.5.08 25 weeks and 5 days Well, Yesterday I woke up with extremely bad cramps. I figured I would try to tough it out because I figured it was from my midwife examining my cervix the day before...So I pretty much laid in bed all morning moaning and groaning...I just couldn't get comfy and it hurt so bad. So when noon came around I called my husband at work and just broke down because I didn't know what to do. I found my discharge papers from the night before said if I had any abdominal pains or discharge to contact my midwife...so I did. and they wanted me to come back to the hospital to be checked and monitored again. So Off I Went, The night before I was in the hospital for like 2 hours and last night I was there for over 4. I didn't mind because I got to close my eyes and take like an hours nap which was great. They redid all the tests they did the night before. I wasn't dilated at all, I was having tiny contractions, and then they said that there was blood in my urine. I cant remember what she said it was called but, Where the urine comes out is swollen and infected. She put me on some meds and wants me to drink tons and tons of water to flush out my system along with some cranberry juice. She said if I start having more problems to let her know. They want to figure out whats going on with me and if I have to go to the hospital every single day then thats what needs to be done. I'm having a few signs of pre term labor but they think it may be because of this infection, they want to nip it in the but and see what happens. So far today I have no cramps or pressure. I'm going to start taking the antibiotic today for the next 7 days. I'm also back on pelvic rest, I have to go back in one week for a check up to make sure everything is going well, if it is..then hopefully she'll take me off of pelvic rest. So for the next week, No sex, No orgasms, No heavy lifting at all...nothing that will strain my uterus. I cant even pick up my daughter, unless I absolutely have to. 3.10.08 26 weeks and 3 days We set up the crib last night! I added some pictures to the photo album of the crib. Just have to get him a crib set and his bed will be all set! We are getting more and more excited with each passing day. Our daughter can't wait. After setting up the crib she said to us "Ok, Got to go to the hospital and get baby brother George" lol How cute is that...I wish it were that easy kid! haha I cant believe how fast time is going. I feel like I just got pregnant and here I am almost to the end! I feel this kid kick and move inside me, I cant wait to hold him in my arms! But at the same time I want to enjoy every moment that I can being pregnant. I love being pregnant! lol I know Daddy loves my growing belly, but he is dying to hold his little man. 3.24.08 28 weeks and 3 days Had a great easter weekend, got to see lots of family and talk lots of the pregnancy! Had my Glucose test done last Thursday, Hopefully the results will come back just fine. I'm growing so much everyday! My belly just keeps getting bigger and bigger, I love it! Less than 12 weeks to go! Yesterday 3.23 I felt the baby having the hiccups for the first time!!! It was awesome, we were hanging out with family and I went to hunt down my husband so I could tell him. We are so excited! Everything is going great! Cant wait to meet our son! 3.28.08 29 weeks Only 11 more weeks to go!! I cant believe how fast time has flown! Last night while laying in bed Little George got the hiccups for the second time! We could actually feel the hiccups from the outside, It was crazy. I started drinking water because I felt bad for the little guy! Well, I've been having a hard time bending over, my belly is just getting bigger and bigger every day. Little George loves kicking my ribs and stretching out! If I'm sitting down when he does this I actually have to straighten my body out so that I can breath! I can't believe how much this kid moves, He really beats me up lol I've been taking video of him moving around, my belly will shift into many different positions. This Video was taken on 3.27.08 Well,
Had an appt. with my midwife today. I had an ultrasound right before my
appt. with her...I'll be 37 weeks on Friday..and the baby is already
about 7 lbs 6 oz!!!!!!!!!!! Most of his measurements were coming up 38
weeks..She said he is in the 86th percentile for his size, I'm 2cm
dilated and 80% effaced. She had me pick up some evening primrose
oil...She said we'll see how my cervix is doing next tuesday and she
will pop open the pills and rub the liquid on my cervix. She also swept
the membranes on my cervix and my mucus plug is falling out...It was
crazy I sat down to pee and I felt some of it actually fall out of
me..I started having contractions but I just ate dinner and now im
relaxing and they are going away, I had three in like a ten minute
period. My lower back is KILLING me..my husband said he would rub my
back for me...I CANT WAIT! Lol So im glad im making some kind of
progress. My midwife leaves the practice May 31st...so I'm really hoping
I have the baby before then so that she is the one to deliver the baby!
My daughter was 5 lbs 15 oz when she was born...and she was born at 38
weeks...Im not even 37 weeks and this boy is OVER 7lbs...I'm going to
cry...there is NO WAY im not getting an Epidural! lol We just can't wait to have our little man! I really hope he is here before the end of may...we dont want anything in our birth plan to change because of having to have a different midwife. 5.27.08 37 weeks 4 days Alright, So I've
come to the conclusion that nothing I do is going to make this baby
come any quicker...So I'm going to stop stressing my self out and take
one day at a time and when he is ready he will make his entrance! I had
my appt. with my midwife...my cervix is literally paper thin..but I
have not dilated more than two cm, same as I was last week. Well at
least my cervix has thinned out...thats a step in the right direction.
I'm just going to relax...and enjoy the rest of the pregnancy. Can't be
pregnant forever!! My midwife just told me to watch my contractions,
Thats all I can do now...Its all a waiting game lol 5.30.08 38 weeks Well on Wednesday I began having contractions that were 5 minutes apart and were way stronger than the braxton hicks. So I called my midwife I was told to head over to the hospital, I was hooked up to the machines to monitor the baby and the contractions, Then they just started getting stronger so the nurse said this is probably it. Soooo I was moved into a birthing room, and there I stayed for 15 hours. Around 4 am I finally passed out...woke up and the contractions had calmed down. There was no change in my cervix from the night before, so my midwife told me to go home. She had me make a Castor oil smoothie, I took a nap for 3 hours and then drank it..did nipple stimulation the contractions became more intense and 4 minutes apart, some were 2 minutes my midiwife told me to go back to the hospital when I was ready. So I waited 2 hours just to make sure..they weren't going away. By time I went back it was 7pm on Thursday. I went straight to the birthing room, Hooked back up to the machines. I asked the nurse if she could fine out if I could walk and what not maybe to help with dilating. She checked my cervix...there was no change from the day before. They monitored me for a little while and then I was told I didnt have the stay on the machine I could walk around and pretty much do what I want...Just couldn't leave the ward. So I did some walking, Rocked in the rocking chair...watched some Tv...and just relaxed. I was exausted, sooo I figured I'd lay down for a while...then I began to notice the contractions moved to 10 minutes apart. So we did some more walking, I was getting emotional...so I told my husband to walk me back to the room and then go talk to the nurses and see if we could go home...I just wanted to go home, I was so depressed because I knew that it wasnt gonna happen that night, I didnt want my husband to waste another vacation day for friday if there was no baby. So the nurse's called my midwife and she gave the ok. They say Im expiriencing early labor, I told them Im not coming back unless I know for sure that its really gonna happen, either by my water breaking or not being able to stand the contractions any more. So I just have to deal with these contractions and rest as much as possible. Hopefully we'll be having our baby soon, but not until he's ready to come!
6.4.08 38 weeks 5 days Had an appt. with the midwife yesterday...Still 2cm dilated, but she said I have the thinnest cervix she has ever felt! lol So I could go any day now...and If I don't have this baby by Monday we're going to talk about induction! I'm just watching my contractions and waiting! I can't wait to have this little guy, even though Im really scared about not knowing how labor is going to go. I have to have an epidural. I've read stories some woman wrote about how their epi wouldnt work and what not. This kid is huge and I really dont want to feel ANYTHING!

jess84 - Tuesday, 15 April very cute video of the baby moving. I have trired that with mine but when the camera is on he is still. But other than that my little boy moves alot and causes lots of sleep problems for me. I feel his feet kick the bed(im a side sleeper) and its like he has his legs always spread. lil boys!!!
thepod - Thursday, 3 April just read some of your topic stuff there. I had a small tear with haley, never felt it happen it required 2small stitches and i never had any problems didn't even notice it was there even after i went home i completly forgot about it. The massage thing totally works, my midwife did the perineal massage while i was pushing haley and it seriously helped ALOT. There is nothing you can do personally except to control your pushing to avoid tearing. Everything else is pretty much an old wives tale. If you control the pushing and only pushing during the contraction and not against it you should be fine. I wanted her out and they told me 1 more tiny push and she's out so i kept pushing @ the down of the contraction which is why i had the tiny tear. hoep this helps email me if you have any questions
thepod - Thursday, 3 April birthing plan sounds good, i have to see if i can find the site that i used with haley, it was so detailed it was insane but worked great for us when questions came up
Deveney - Thursday, 3 April at the childbirth class we went to, one of the instructors said that tears heal quicker than episiotomies and the other instructor said the opposite. they did give us a pamphlet on perineal massage, which helps to make it more flexible and could help to avoid tearing or getting cut. it seems kind of odd, but i'm going to try it.
moojie - Thursday, 3 April I actually asked my OB out episiotomy today. She said that anymore, they only use it in a worse case scenario, like when the baby is in distress and they need to get them out of there. Episiotomies are more difficult to recover from than a tear. They can also make intercourse more difficult after recovery and I've heard that they can lead to incontinence (not sure if that is true or not) I was actually asking her about them as an effort to avoid getting one. She said that the best way to avoid tearing, or getting an episiotomy is to make sure that you have a healthy diet. She also said that it is an old Dr procedure now and that it was used in the past just to make things more quick and convenient for the Dr. They weren't really looking out for the welfare of the patient. Hope that gives you some good information. I certainly wouldn't be requesting that particular procedure.
MaMi143 - Thursday, 3 April when i had my 1st baby i had an epideral so i didnt feel when they cut me. I HEARD IT! and that was sick! but i guess it heals better && faster when they cut you then when you rip. or so ive heard. i know im going to have a big baby again this time so im expecting them to cut me again. if your baby is going to rip you that is probly just as painful so if i were you id just get cut. better off that way. hope that helps! ;o) good luck! xoxo
RaynbowMami - Wednesday, 2 April I just think my doctor likes to torcher me. He is so busy I barely get to see him long enough to discuss anything with him. He just says, everything looks fine and scoots me out the door.
You are right though the every 2 weeks thing give me something to look forward to. My next appointment isn't until the 24th. I hate having to wait an entire month.
Utopianite - Wednesday, 2 April You shouldn't be as likely to tear this time, since you've given birth before. I definately wouldn't ask them to cut just to prevent a small tear.
thepod - Monday, 31 Mar ok its working now :) very cute. Junior has been beating me bigtime at night lately. My appetite has been crappy, I barely get down what i normally would eat not pregnant. Well we'll see what the scale says next visit!

thepod - Tuesday, 25 Mar haha i figured it out the old myspace no longer exists, how i figured it out no clue, dumb luck, lol. Apparently the pics i saved from the old page saved super tiny so it'll take a few days for pics to go back up but they'll be there, do you still have the ones of the girls playing? if so send please :) also belly shots will go up by the end of the week, god i'm feeling big tonight
jzwillis - Monday, 24 Mar my baby had them yesterday to and it lasted for about ten mins, i felt so bad for her
thepod - Thursday, 20 Mar guessing by the convos on your page your having the nightmare issues too, god i hate it. Pre-milk in? mine was in with this one at 15wk. With haley it came in at 20wks, and at deliver I had actually leaked all the premilk and she had straight milk the midwives where shocked and kept checking in amazement apparently its super rare. Tomorrow we meet with the perineotologist for the 4D ultrasound to double check JR :)
jess84 - Thursday, 20 Mar I need to have my husband take some better belly shots. In january around lunch time i was making my then 2.5 year old son lunch and heard a crash. Our tv fell on top of his head and it was the worst thing i had ever seen when i lifted the tv off of him. He wasnt moving and he was bleeding from everywhere. this is still hard for me to talk about cus i have nightmares. He was airlifted to seattle in critical condition. He spent a week and a half in the hospital, the first week was intensive care unit. He fractured his scull and damaged the nerve on the right side of his face. It has been a big thing and i am so thankful that god didnt take my son from me. He has suffered no brain damage but has problems with that nerve. I honestly thought he would fall off his bike and need stitches on his arm at age 5. Never anything like what happened. A tv was the last thing that i thought could injur my son. We now have it on a differnt stand and strap the back of our tv so it can never fall forward. This bit of advice you can pass around. Cus i never want anyone to see what i saw had happened to my son. And i only think i got through that first week and the actual part of the accident because i was in shock. this is as close i can get to the story without loosing it.
OWHSOOOSWEET - Thursday, 20 Mar HELLO AND CONGRATS! ABOUT THE LEAKING... I NOTICED IT ONE DAY A LITLLE OVER A WEEK AGO BUT IT HAPPENS VERY RARELY. IS IT CLEAR AND STICKY? IF SO, THEN THAT COLOSTRUM. THATS WHT THE BABY FEEDS ON FIRST BEFORE MILK PRODUCTION. ITS HIGH IN CALORIES SO ITS ENOUGH UNTIL MILK TIME. EVEN THO YOU HAVENT HAD THAT BEFORE, DONT WORRY BECUZ ALL PREGNANCIES ARE DIFFERENT. HOPE THIS HELPS. TAKE CARE!
babyboszko - Thursday, 20 Mar hello, how are you doing? well we just found out were having a lil boy.
jess84 - Wednesday, 19 Mar no problem. I just hope i dont have too many scary ones. like the pig thing Eww weird i can handle but scary is way different. I have nightmares about my sons accident alot. SO i hope that they diminish some. I like your pics by the way. I need more with my shirt down.
