I have some powedered formula I was using to mix with his cereal but when I mix it with water and give it to him in a cup he doesn't care for it at all. He makes a face and spits it out. I wonder if it will just take some getting used to...

No my ceserean birth was not an emergency one but my labor was long and I was hardly dilating and then my cervix started to swell and I went from a 7 to a 6 due to the swelling. Jamison was still doing ok but was starting to have a harder time with the contractions and I had already had one at one point that wouldn't stop so there were many factors that lead my dr to a c section but I think had my cervix not swelled she would still have let me labor longer. As I am sure you can imagine once your cervix swells there really is no way to have a natural delivery. I even had a doula who called another doula who happened to be the lady that we took our birthing class from to try and get pointers on how to make my labor happen a little more according to plan and the other doula even said it sounded like it might be a c section. I wonder if I had not gotten the epidural if we could have done certain movements and positions to rotate him but I try not to look at it that way or I get bummed out on myself. After 15 hours of labor at home only to find out I was a two I just couldn't take it anymore I even told myself if I am at least a 7 I think I can do this. Oh well. Sorry this was so long.

I am lucky the doctor let my husband bring his camera in. I am also lucky my husband is a photographer. How come you had to have a c section? I wished I would have had the wonderful birth where they place the baby on your chest right after etc etc but after so long I was just ready to get him out of me anyway.

I should try and find out how much it would cost to ship, I have a unopened can of simalac ( spelling ) formula that was given to us and we do not use that brand. I don't have any coupons that I can give you but I do havea question!! I am on similac too and we are also on WIC but have to buy a couple cans of formula a month. Do you have this program where you are from? It is an excellant program and if you have it you should really look into it. I was going to breastfeed but she in lactose intolerant so had to do sensitive formula. With me being on maternity leave(I get no benefits while I'm off and no pay!!YIKES) SO we HAD to go to Wic and its wonderful!! They give you coupons for like 9 cans of formula a month for baby and then you get vouchers for milk, juice cheese, cereal and I don't know what all else. It helped us out big time. Just thought it might be something for you to look into since formula is soooo expensive!!

It's good to know that you found the problem, ye its hard changing formula I know I had to, Divan was getting bad stomach craps for the first 4 weeks after he was born so I took a chance and changed his formula, it worked wonders the first few days he didn't like it much but now he is wonderful hardlly ever gets cramps.
